Alameda auto care is a nice shop. I just moved to the area and needed a brake job. I gambled on this shop and was pleased. They did a great job and I am happy that I have a new shop to trust

Andy, David and their team are awesome. I just took my car for servicing and asked to look at another potential concern. They assessed the issue, confirmed my concern and made a recommendation about not making the repair. I shared my concern about safety brought up by another establishment, who I know often upsells services, and was convinced to hold off due to lack of safety, understanding how the system worked, and understanding the symptoms if it does become an issue. Perhaps a smart way to promote a service but they told me they’d keep an eye on it at my next service or oil change, which in will come back for! Prices are also reasonable. They cost for the work done was lower than another place I’ve been to, which specializes in tires, and the quote for then work I was concerned about was also much cheaper. Integrity, honesty, and good workmanship is what keeps me coming back.

I’ve been a loyal customer for 4 years now and for good reason. For any repair I’ve needed AAC is always able to swiftly fit me in their schedule and throughout the repair process keep me constantly updated. Their quality of work speaks for it self as my +250k mileage vehicle is still running!

They helped me after I got rear ended. They communicated directly with the insurance and were so helpful. A few months later I noticed something installed was loose and they fixed it very quickly. I will definitely return

I have been using Alameda Auto care for about 20 years. I find them trustworthy and dedicated to servicing my vehicles. They always try to accommodate my schedule and keep my time constraints in mind when scheduling my service. David and Andy normally are my contacts over the phone, they are always prompt in getting back to me via phone. My father recommended the business to me and I have been using them for 20 plus years and my last two vehicles.

They couldn’t diagnose my car, but they gave me a full refund. Extremely fair and trustworthy

I took my Sienna van in for a rear wheel stud replacement, and the work was done with exceptional professionalism. What stood out most was how clearly they explained the pricing upfront--they quoted the cost of each stud, each lug nut, and the labor separately, with no surprises. The final amount was very reasonable, especially given the quality of the workmanship. The repair was completed efficiently, the communication was excellent, and the van feels solid and safe again. A reliable shop I'm happy to recommend.

I said I have a 1992 Mazda Miata that won't start and I think that the starter is bad. Was told that the diagnostic fee will be $180.

First time taking my car to David and Andy. I have an older Infiniti QX for 2002 with 250,000 miles. I have engine light problem. They are truly very good mechanics and most important honest. After two days, they found out the problem. It was a timing control sensor and they replaced it. Excellent service.

Brought in my 2018 RAV4 Hybrid for an oil change. They checked it out, road tested it and confirmed it needed no additional services. Got my oil change and was on my way. They’re great!

This shop certainly doesn't deserve 4.9 stars in my opinion. We live in Alameda and our car was experiencing numerous problems. So my family brought our car to this shop because it had a bunch of error codes like brake lights, abs, traction control, steering wheel. Eventually after their diagnosis, they said it would take $2000 to fix. Obviously we didn't proceed with that. So I took it to myself to see what was wrong. Sure enough after doing a 10 min inspection of my own (and I'm not even a professional mechanic) it turned out to be a blown 10 amp abs fuse. When I easily replaced that and replaced some broken wires that got frayed from the traction control button, the car's warning lights all disappeared. All I can say is wow! If they didn't notice that easily blown fuse I saw, then I don't know what they're doing! Be careful with your money! Just because they are 5 stars doesn't mean they're honest or (dare I say it) smart for that matter. Won't be coming back here again.

I contacted Alameda Auto care based on the reviews found on their website about repairing my air conditioning system in my car. After analyzing the AC system they contacted me with a complete analysis of the problem and a realistic quote to repair the problems. With my approval, parts were ordered and my AC system was repaired within a matter of days. The staff was very Knowledgable, polite and were able to repair the car on budget and on time. I highly recommend the Alameda Auto Care Center for all of your auto needs.

David & his team are very friendly, knowledgeable & professional! They were able to diagnose & fix the problem with my car's fan & air-conditioning. The cost of the repair was very reasonable, too! I know that if I have future problems with my AC (or other issues), I can definitely count on them!

We've been loyal customers here for years because of the times they have NOT fixed the problem I brought my car in for. On three separate occasions, I've come in with an issue, and when David and his team were unable to observe what I'd reported, they simply didn't charge me a dime-- not even for the assessment. I've had other mechanics try to upcharge me for unnecessary services, or tell they fixed something they didn't, but the guys at Alameda Auto Care would never do that. When my car needs service, they are fast and efficient, but when they refuse to take advantage of my lack of expertise? That's when I appreciate them most. Thank you so much for making my car run smoothly! I got a routine oil change and requested to have all checks done and I was called and explained the issues and suggested maintenance. I was told I could wait as none were urgent but I decided to do it now. My car was ready the next day. I commute to work a few days a week and need my car so I would rather do preventative care always! I will definitely be back in the 3,000 miles for my next oil change.

I had an amazing experience at Alameda Auto Center! I came in for a transmission fluid change and everything went so smoothly. David, Fred and the staff at Alameda Auto Care have always been efficient at diagnosis and fixing all our cars. They are always polite and talk to me in a way I understand what my car's problem is and how to fix it. We have a 1967 Mustang that needed a lot of body work and new paint. Dave and Fred were able to get it looking great and running great with a new engine. We will never go anywhere else with our cars.
