I've previously bought a truck from this towing service. It was a good deal, but it seems to me over the years they've offered less vehicles on their lot, and buy less often.
It is by no means a pretty looking establishment but they do good work, and have always given a fair price for towing me or my vehicles when need be.
I wish they would offer more of their inventory, and have a better yard for interested parties to come look around without being in the way of them coming and going.
I was towed from my apartment off leveret st Pierce properties they said I did not have a permit which I do they when I got to the place to pick my car up the bill was $165 dollars cash only the man there said if I give them a good Google review he would knock off $40 dollars what a scam how many of these good reviews are real and how many are not I hate to even give them a one star but you have to if you're smart you will never use these crooks dishonest people and never go to their place it's a shack for an office worst experience of my life
Got my car towed by Chris and Danny, they are an absolute pleasure to work with and they made sure everything was done in the proper way before towing my car to Autohouse.
Chris and Danny are very friendly men to be around. They show up in a mature manner and get their job done. They are very professional and polite people. Definitely would recommend calling American Towing for any towing needs.
American Towing has a great team. They are all very helpful and friendly. They get to you as soon as they can and if they can’t get to you then one of them will call you back and reschedule for another time that works best for you. Chris, Danny, Trish and Tracey are great to be around and make time go by quickly. If you or anyone else need a tow call American Towing and they’ll come get you.
Tracy was so helpful. We called at the end of the day because we were stranded. He came out immediately and he did more than we asked. Great stories, too!
This is absolutely the worst company I’ve ever encountered. Chris had 7 days to tow my vehicle and lied constantly as to why he never towed it. He said the owners were on vacation for 3 weeks and he was the only one working. He said he would tow it on his day off on Saturday and never did. What towing company doesn’t work on Saturday? I asked him why he wanted to charge me $165 to tow my vehicle 8 miles and said the sheet wasn’t in front of him??? Who charges $20 a mile? We called NWA towing who charged me $125 and had it towed within one hour! Beware. This company is corrupt as hell.
Helpful, honest company. Got in a pinch when a load on my trailer shifted. Jesse happened to be driving by and stopped to help winch the load back to the proper position just out of sheer kindness after seeing me in a tough spot. Highly recommend them!
I went to clean a house and couldn’t find the parking pass within 5 minutes of getting there. They had me hooked up to the tow truck within 10 minutes of arriving at the property. They charged me $110. I didn’t answer the door at first because he was banging on the window and yelling. The guy was scary looking, and I thought some drunk people were outside. This is an unethical horrible company. I can’t believe there are people this terrible.
I just found out that in Arkansas you have to give someone 15 minutes to unload before towing. I arrived at the apartment at 6:41, and they started hooking us up between 6:50-6:55.
If I could give these fellas a 10 star I would. We were hauling a 35 ft concession stand back to Oregon when our f250 diesel decided it wanted to go no farther. They came out and picked not only the truck but the both of us and
they also grabbed the trailer. Very kind folks especially to us out of towers on a SUNDAY of all days in 100 degrees weather!!!! They were polite professional and even helped us find a shop that could fix the truck.
Then they went out of their way to help us find a hotel. If we EVER break down in this part of Arkansas they will definitely have our business as well as anyone we know who needs a tow in the area we will refer them to American Towing.
I can't say enough good things about these gentleman!!! I also forgot to mention that the pricing was amazing and down to earth.
predatory company. also, the guy acted all smug and high and mighty knowing he “did a great job” for towing my car in a place with maybe 2 TINY signs that are NOT lit in a very dark parking lot. i guess not only is the problem with this joke of a company, but with fayetteville in general. predatory cash grabbers.
and these comments! “just doing our job.” “we follow the rules.” i hope you aren’t shown mercy and decency the next time you make a mistake because of another predatory company. show some class in your comments at least
American Towing is exceptional, 24 hour service. I had locked my keys out of my car in 18 degree weather. Tracy came and unlocked my highlander in no time and I was back on the road. Honestly, an angel in disguise.

Shouldn't even give 1 star. This company predatory tows. I was not parked illegally and they never provided a photo of my WHOLE vehicle parked illegally, just the front after it was moved. Then proceeds to wait close by to "offer" a discount of $140 to remove from truck. I've reported them to the BBB and the Office of Towing and Recovery. I urge everyone to report this company when they illegally tow you for personal gain. Also, since I've seen they like to reply to reviews, I will not respond and I assure you will see me in court. Luther at Great American Towing made an already challenging day a little bit easier. He was communicative and prompt in allowing me to pick up my vehicle. He was able to unlock it since i Iocked the keys in it prior to it being towed away. Thanks!
I’m pretty sure the man working that night took some belongings out of my car. I was missing $200 headphones and a $100 bill after my car got towed. The man had a weird vibe but I can admit he was very helpful and the pricing was less than expected
Extremely shady business dealings. Witnessed them hooking up a family's vehicle as they were returning from the Fayetteville Square. The towing truck driver told the family he would unhook their vehicle for $80 cash. Cash?! Sounds a little suspicious to me. We got this on video.
Joke of a company. They’re extremely unprofessional, rude and they flat out lie. I was towed a while ago and they admitted I shouldn’t have been towed, but wouldn’t release my vehicle unless I payed $90. Someone I know was recently towed and, when we reviewed the posted rules, no rules were broken. They also lied to the apartment complex and said they’d issued multiple warnings for this issue which was completely untrue. Their “business” is run from a run-down shed and they damaged both vehicles that I previously mentioned. I cannot recommend more strongly to avoid this company at all costs.
They love to be as bright as possible when towing people. Woke up from their truck towing someone because their lights were blaring into my window.
Had a friend over and they towed him within the hour. Had to wait until 9am to get his car back which caused him to miss his flight. They're predatory and their scheme of "your 4th tow is free" or whatever it is is just a slap in the face. Why should I ever pay nearly $200 because I forgot to put the pass in his car for an hour? That's half my rent. I get that it's how you make your living, but there is no way you can justify that kind of behavior. This kind of business makes me feel severely unwelcome where I live, and I constantly have a fear that I'll get towed even though my pass is always in my car. The woman at the front desk was nice but that's the only good thing I can say. They're just people like the rest of us, but wow. I feel nothing but resentment for their business.
Recently had a disappointing encounter with this company. They patrol my apartment complex, which I understand part of their job, but I woke up at 1am to the sound of them trying to tow my car! The man had even said he remembered my car, Even showed my resident pass was in the dash, but it was “not clearly visible” and still had to pay a $80 drop fee! I only paid it because what else am I supposed to do when it’s the middle of the night and someone is trying to take my car (which has a parking pass) from my place of residence? He then proceeded to tell me how because I live at this particular complex I get discounted tows. I could not believe the audacity! They later came back around 2-3am and continued to disrupt the complex. This was not a good end to a very long day that was already spent dealing with family emergencies. Sorry, but I will never use your services after this experience! I understand having a job to do, but this was very upsetting.
This company towed my vehicle unpromted from my apartment parking lot. I had a rental vehicle due to mine being in the shop, and had my parking pass in place. Tow company claimed because it wasn't my normal vehicle it had to be parked in 'visitor parking'. Prior to this I was not made aware of these 'visitor parking' spaces. The front office of my apartment said it was out of their hands and this tow company has free reign to tow whatever vehicle they want, whenever they want.
You gotta be a mentally jacked person to own a company that helps people stranded on the side of the road and then turns around swiping peoples cars forcing others to be stranded. I get you run a business. But cmon you guys are preying on individuals who are sometimes helpless. At least have the decency to put a sign up in the lot that you are towing from or find a way to notify people their car was towed and who towed it. Maybe you’ve done that for some lots but the lot by Feed and Folly didn’t have a sign saying where you took my car which is seriously risky business. Yeah I shouldn’t have parked there which is on me but seriously… One day you’re gonna tow someone’s car who is dealing with an actual real emergency and the results of you guys sitting and waiting to basically steal people’s cars, will come back and haunt you. At least your prices aren’t ridiculous.
The dispatch lady was super nice and Jesse was a great guy and very professional. Loaded my bike up and took me from West Fork to Fort Smith.
Would use again anytime.

These guys really helped us out of a pickle last night when we had a flat ( while pulling a loaded trailer and 2 dogs with us). They were speedy, kind and did a great job. Would definitely recommend!
Today, on a snow day, I made the mistake of parking in the Sonic parking lot next to Chick-fil-a on MLK in Fayetteville. I’m visibly very pregnant, the parking lot was empty compared to the overflowing Chick-fil-a parking lot, and again, it was a snow day. My car was towed after less than 15 minutes, but when I called Sonic to question it (because again: empty lot + towing someone’s car after 10 minutes feels like a jerk move) and the manager stated that even though they CAN call the towing company, they wouldn’t on a day like today because they were having a slow day. She even apologized as they have had issues with them towing cars that weren’t supposed to be towed.
All that to say: This company goes OUT OF THEIR WAY to tow people’s cars, by no request of the facility they’re towing them from, charges them $147, and then has the audacity to offer you a business card while you are in the process of getting your car back. My actual conversation with them today.
Me: (crying)
One of them: “how’s your day going”
Me: “not great” (???)
Same guy: “aww what’s wrong?!”
Me: “Well, obviously not happy about having my car towed”
Guy: “well, probably shouldn’t have parked it there!…I am saving you like $70 compared to what some people in Fayetteville charge”
Me: (completely shocked he would have the audacity to make such a ridiculous statement)
He went on to offer a business card and multiple times which I continued to decline. When I got heated, which honestly didn’t take long, he again offered a business card, said, “there’s no need to be like that; just take a card for when you cool down!”
This went on but ultimately you get the idea. These people are looking to make a quick buck off and based on other reviews, seem to do so with no regard to situation or circumstance. Should I have parked somewhere else? Yep. Was it cold/snowy in a parking lot that was nearly empty on a Friday morning snow day? Also yep. The one star review comes less from the actual towing and more from the complete insanity of the conversation, attitude, and overall disposition of some of the employees when picking up the car.
Use another company. Any other company.
Great experience and awesome people!! Stayed open past close so I could come get my car and saved me a bunch of money, really great service. Not happy about being towed but happy it was at least from good guys

Paid $700 for a car with $700 car problems obviously and the battery was dead on it so I had to leave it parked for a couple of days getting a battery because the $700 was all I had. It was 210 for the towing charge $45 a day for storage because I couldn't park it overnight in a parking lot of Subway on MLK but the guy found out how much I had which was only $200 and he knocked it down from 395 to $200 and let me get my car because he just felt sorry for me which was a real blessing they are real good people I ain't got nothing bad to say about them
