I don't visit this place very often but the times I've gone it is the same rude ladies in the window. Theres one in particular. They try make you feel like they are doing you a favor buying your metal. Metal that you spend hours cleaning to get the most money out it. But this lady is always ripping you off by taking tons of steel I'm taking it like dirty steel.. the place itself is very dirty in unorganized your obligated to backup a trailer across the whole yard .
They lack on customer service since they can’t send out someone to escort you where you need to go or help unload any scrap metal. The staff mainly just pointed where to go but never bother sending someone to help out with everything that needed to get done to leave the place on time.

Great experience at Yuma Recycling! The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The facility is clean and well-organized, making the whole process quick and easy. Definitely my go-to spot for recycling in the area. Highly recommend!
UPDATE: we have been trying to get enough money together to high tail it out of Yuma so we had some copper to recycle. State rate was ~$3/lb @ the time. The other recycler was closed for the day and we needed gas $--sooooo, aganist my better judgment and with my husband's push, I went back here. They did give me $2.80/lb..not bad for Yuma. However, we weighed it before we went in and sure enough she did it AGAIN- underweighed it!! How? They weighed the copper in the 5gal bucket it was in and took 5-6lb for the bucket! It was 2-3lb. You might not think that is much but if they shave everybody 1-2lb it ADDS up!!! Know your stuff before you go in. My husband did go back and get our lbs back. When u use a generator for AC in the AZ heat--EVERY dollar of gas counts! +1 star for making it 'somewhat' right.

[1st]Wow. I should have read the reviews before we wasted our time here. Seems they have been doing the same scam over and over for years! Ist time we brought copper--they gave us 1/2 the weight @ $1.60/lb...(found out later we could get $2.60 @ another in town). We went back 2wks later with some brass--just to see what they would do. The lady @ the counter said: $1.30/lb---NOPE. Went to another place here--gave us $1.86/lb. A $10.00 difference in our case. In this economy AND ESPECIALLY in Yuma where gas has not come down, every penny counts. Very grateful that this is not the only recycler in Yuma. Will not be back AND do not recommend! Call around, you can do better than this place.

I'm writing this review because of all the previous Golden 5 star reviews. I have not been paid or influenced by anyone or by Yuma recycles to write or Leave this review. I'm writing this review with my own volition and desire.
First, let me start by saying I will never return to Yuma recyclers. Integrity is a rare commodity these days and Yuma recyclers and many of the businesses in Yuma seem to lack this charactor trait. Not sure when or why this attitude permeated the city of Yuma but it sure does run rampant. Not only will I never return and do business with this business but she had the audacity to offer me the lowest rate for my recyclables in the whole state of Arizona. $1.31 for clean copper...I will not and do not feel the need to explain further. Suffice to say, there ya go. You decide how you want to be treated. As for me, I'm going where there's integrity and respect. Tried and failed

Great service from the ladies In the office always super nice and respectful when we bring in aluminum cans. Workers are very friendly and quick with help offering to do everything for us. Highly recommend this company compared to others in town!!
This place has been my go-to for recycling for a while now, and they’ve never let me down. This place is a scam i took 6 full bags of crushed cans from years worth more than 50$ to come out with 22$ and 10¢ the prices are truly outrageous would never say anything good about this place even if i get paid.

This place is a scam. I took in 8 bags of smashed cans and plastic bottles and they paid me $2.30. The lady at the front refused to provide me a receipt, and also refused to tell me how much the cans & plastic weighed.
Do not waste your time here.
Good place to drop off recycleable goods like metal or appliances. Dont expect to get much for them, but it is more than nothing. The employees are always accomodating amd will help ypu offload.
It’s a great place to drop off old appliances or water heaters. I just donate, but they will give you some money. It’s better than hauling them to the dump where you have to pay.

Recyclers they scam big time no only wth what you bring ,before put to weight they do something to the machine to make less weight,also they never told me that they don't accept plastic battles of milk and before they said yes that
Accept,but I went today they only give $4.40 for everything I take they are scamers and liers don't take your recyclers stuff because they are going to scam you.

I went to these guys to give them some heavy metal pieces to recycle and all I got for them were three dollars and 10 cents. That’s ridiculous, they never told me how much it weighed all together. I’m very disappointed and I’ll never come back here again
Best, most consistent recyclers in Yuma. They’re always fair and nice to work with. Scrap prices in AZ are not the best and these guys are usually very fair compared to the others in town.
I have been going there since I mistakenly drove by on the way to buy new materials not thinking they would even have anything close for my projects used for boat service company you have to check out the racks as you enter on the left side and if it's stainless,or aluminum,machined plates or sheets of just ask them even on specific grades of bolts nuts and even something as I got today to put in and secure my new sections of interior seating for my Kona ,and my jet boat and 12 other boats totally tricks old in packs of 25 pairs Allen barrels and the carragebolts all stainless at 5.00 for the hole bag so I got 18 bags I been going there at least 10years now great people and as I said if you are looking for anything just ask at the office really

. I had 5 separate categories and per-weighted all of them just to see if I would get a good deal or if I was gonna get the shaft. It was all the same story half the weight and half the price. As an example, I took 2 lbs. of bare bright copper and got 50% less than scrapmoster price. Currently 2.60 a lbs my ticket read 1.60 and only 1.5 lbs weight I also took 15 lbs #2 bare bright, current price 2.40 and again got only half the weight and half the price, my ticket 1.30. I know we are damm close to Mexico but this was a rip off I will not be going back and I will not be recommending this joint. 4/25/19
Took 1 trash can and 2 bags filled with cans and 3 trash cans and 9 bags filled with plastic bottles. Was not told the weight of what I brought or price per weight, no signs were posted either saying price per weight. Got a whole $11.30 for trying to do my put and keep recyclables out of my trash. Service was fast and helped me unload. But due to cash back I received, wasn't even worth the gas to drive it there in my truck. Wonder if I even get a response from the "new" owner or if this review is just ignored like everyone else's.
The guys thay work here are nice and thery help you unload. Everytime ive been there they have skimmed off pounds. You can no longer see your weight on the big scale so you dont have any idea how much youre weighing in. Unless, you know what your weight is. Their scales are inaccurate too. The biggest problem i have with them is that they always close earlier than whats posted on their gate and on-line, 15-20 min early. Dont say you close at 1 but are never open until 1. For those of you who think they're adding that extra that you draw, you're not. So easily fooled!!!!
Customer service was on point, communicated with me and were very friendly. They offered a fair price for my cans and even added a bit extra. Would recommend to others. Instead of throwing away your junk metal, bring it here and you'll make some money.
I am very pleased to see the major up grades done to this business! The new owners have really done a great job! The manager is very nice and has it running great, staff is friendly, and the place has been cleaned up. They have a "bonus bowl" which allows you to get more for your cans! This place is the place to go to get money for your scraps.
Now under new ownership, this place is better than ever! As I contractor, we have a lot of leftovers from job sites and I can always count on YR to give me great prices. Staff is very friendly, a lot of upgrades have been done making it easier to get in and out quickly!
