My car has been towed here recently after an accident and I noticed this morning via my car’s app, that the drivers door had been left open for 24 hours. I called to have it shut and the woman who answered acted like she couldn’t remedy it because it wasn’t her “job”. After it not being closed in a timely manner I called back to be put on hold for Brandy, who told me “you do realize your car is smashed, right?”. Um, excuse me. It’s not totaled. The front end has minor damage. Also. Why is it being opened anyway?! Is it being looked through? Inexcusable behavior.

**DO NOT USE**
This company was used to tow my son's car from a location in Prescott to Dewey, due to there being a cracked coolant reservoir and I didn't want him to drive his car until we repaired it. This was on December 18th, 2025.
Once the car reached its destination, the driver started lowering the car, front first, down a steep and uneven driveway. My son was outside of the truck as the driver was unloading the car, and yelled to the driver to stop because the car was scrapping down the driveway. The driver then stopped and my son suggested to use a location across the street that was flat and easier to unload the car. The driver said "no, I've got this" and then re-angled the tow truck, and continued to lower the car, and still scrapping it. My son didn't know what to do, but to wait until after the car was lowered.
The driver then mention some fluid coming out of the car, and that was most likely the coolant.
My husband went the next day, 12/19/2025, and installed the new coolant resevoir, and filled up the coolant. They started the car and looked for any leaks from the new part. The car was not driven that day. On the 20th, my son picked his girlfriend up from work, then drove to Cottonwood for my birthday dinner. About a mile from the restaurant he started experiencing issues with the car. He got to the restaurant where he parked and the then the car dumped almost all of his transmission fluid in the parking lot.
We then had to rent a Uhaul transport trailer to tow it to our house, and when the mechanic we used opened back up from the holidays, we had to rent it again to tow it to them. Upon my mechanics inspection, there was a clear scrape across the front of the tranmisson pan all the way back, and a dent to the front of the pan and it was pushed up. He said this was consistent with the car being lowered from a tow truck front first.
After repairing the car, and submitting all the documentation to the Tri-City Towing, they denied the claim stating that my son must have hit something while driving and dragged it underneath his car. This is not what happened. There was absolutley nothing wrong with his transmission prior to the tow, beside a cracked coolan reservoir which cost us $40 bucks, and now due to the driver's negligence by lowering the car down a driveway that he knowingly, willingly and recklessly continued to lower after it was scrapping and continued to scrape until the car was off of the truck, we are now out the money for the coolant reservoir, two Uhaul auto transport rentals and the repair to the transmission, new transmission pan, fluid, and the labor cost, the transmission repair and Uhaul cost was $856.00.
This company refuses to take responsibility for the damage they caused to my son's car, even though they have all the evidence, including a liscensed mechanic who has been in business for well over 20 years, and sent them a description of what he saw and his determination of what could have caused the damage.
So now my only recourse to recover the money spent because a negligent driver decided that "he had it" while scraping my son's car, is to spend time and money in Court in Prescott. I will never use this company again, I will never suggest this company, and I wlll be taking this company to Court and I will win my money back ask this was negligence and an irresponsible driver.Jan 19, 2026 -
Worst experience during an already chaotic and stressful time.
My son was involved in an accident, and his car was left disabled in the street. Before I arrived, PVPD had already called Tri-City Towing and the car was being hooked up. I asked where it was being taken and was simply told “the tow yard,” with no option given to tow it to our home or a repair shop. This was our first experience with an accident tow, and we didn’t know we had to specifically ask—something the owner later admitted we should have been offered.
After leaving the scene, I contacted the tow yard. Brandy informed me the cost was $368 cash or $388 by card for an 8-mile tow, with a $30 daily storage fee starting within 24 hours. I was also told I needed to make an appointment, bring my ID, registration, and payment, and that arriving after 4:30 pm would result in a $65 gate fee. She further stated the $30 storage fee would be added at 3:20 pm.
The next day, my husband arrived at 3:00 pm with a trailer and winch, but was told nothing could be done until the registered owner (me) arrived. I rushed over after work and arrived at 3:30 pm, just after the storage fee had been applied. I provided my ID, registration, and $400 cash. I was then told they couldn’t accept the cash unless I had exact change—or I would have to forfeit it. After confusion between two employees over whether the total was $368.50 or $398.50, they confirmed the higher amount but stated they did not have $1.50 in change because the accountant had already left. Brandy eventually took the $1.50 from her own purse.
When we went outside, the vehicle was being moved with a forklift. My husband immediately objected, explaining this could damage the underside and that we had a trailer and winch. We were told customers are not allowed in the yard and that “this is how they do it.” The owner, Jerry, brought the car out on the forklift and said he was careful. He also stated that we should have been given the option to tow the vehicle home.
After getting the car home, we smelled gasoline and discovered the gas tank was leaking. It was not leaking at the accident scene and was not leaking when loaded onto the tow truck. When we called, we were told to file a claim online.
While inspecting the car, we also discovered the keys were missing. When we called again, Brandy casually said, “Yeah, we have the key,” with no apology or explanation.
This company works with accident victims every day—we do not. We were navigating a traumatic situation involving our child, insurance, and police, and instead were met with confusion, excessive fees, poor communication, and what appears to be careless handling of our vehicle. This entire experience added unnecessary stress during an already overwhelming time.
We are now dealing with a damage claim for the gas tank, which is just more frustration we should never have had to endure.
I do not recommend Tri-City Towing.Jan 14, 2026 -

I wish I had of gotten my driver's name but he was amazing. Having a horrible day getting stuck on the side of the highway but to a possible tire issue he was so kind and humble. He took a look at my car and was able to give me an idea of what the issue was with it which made me feel 100% better. The dispatch was also kept me in the loop w/ ETAs and what not. It's the energy they gave that made a horrible day a tad bit brighter. Thank you.

My fiancé popped 2 tires in the middle of the night on a saturday coming down from Jerome to our home in PV. Tri-City is the MVP and our driver is the best! (I am so sorry I didn't get his name!) Super great and personable, even dropped off the water bottle that we forgot in the tow truck! Thank you to these amazing people!

Have always had great service but yesterday my USAA roadside issued them a service request to assist me lifting my horse trailer to rebook to my truck. Tri City said they couldn't because they don't have a jack. I guess they should get one since they change tires too.

We needed our truck towed back to our mechanic in Mesa after it broke down just north of Sunset Point. We are Triple A members so we requested service through them. They referred us to Tri City Towing. I called at 9AM to see how long it would be before the tow truck arrived. The dispatcher said 60-75 minutes. The driver never showed up. After 90 minutes I called back and was told the driver was 20 minutes away. Then the driver called and said he had to make another stop before he could pick up our truck. It is summer in Phoenix. We were lucky it was a little cooler and we had plenty to drink. If not we would have been in trouble from dehydration and probably needed to call 911. In addition there was almost no cell service where we were parked. We had to walk about 5 minutes to get service. We continued to wait. We waited so long the vultures started circling. It took 3 plus hours for the tow truck to show up. Then he told us we would have to go back to Phoenix through Buckeye because he had to drop off another car. At this point it was not like we could say no. The air conditioning in the tow truck was barely working. The driver said the company employed 32 people and 2 mechanics. Clearly they need to hire one that knows how to work on air conditioners. We were getting very dehydrated from waiting so long to be picked up and the AC not working. We are not young people so this was beginning to be a dangerous situation. The conversation with the driver was laden with the F word which we did not want to hear. When we were driving on the city streets he was following way too close to the cars in front of him. The last straw was the driver almost ran a red light right before our destination because he was too busy talking and not paying attention to driving. It took us over 8 hours from the time we called for the tow to arrive at our destination in Mesa. Unfortunately this tow company has the contract with AAA from Black Canyon City north past Flagstaff and over to Prescott. If you are an AAA member and they try to assign you to Tri City Towing do not use them. Tri City will lie to you about how long it will take for them to arrive. They will not tell you how many hours it will be before you are dropped off at your location. They will add other cars to the trip because they are more concerned about making money than customer satisfaction or comfort.

This was our first experience using roadside assistance, and it couldn’t have gone better. We found ourselves stranded with a flat tire and no tools to change it, but Tri City Towing came to the rescue. Their technician, Dusty, was outstanding—professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful. His service exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much for turning a stressful situation into a positive one!

Dusty the rescuer was Amazing! Right when he got out of the trunk came forward, introduced himself with the most friendly professional attitude. The car was in a tight spot and he said not a problem at all and he made it look easy getting the car. You can tell he has skills. Dusty was such a nice kind hearted person. You can tell that just from his attitude and he deserves a raise or promotion, but he has a huge asset to the company and he has the best customer service I’ve seen in years! Tri-City telling has been always amazing whenever we have had to use them. They’re always an efficient, professional, and friendly and so helpful.

Broke down on Williamson Valley Rd only 10 minutes from home on a rainy day. Garrett and Tri-City Towing to the rescue. They arrived earlier than anticipated and loaded my car with TLC. Thank you for dropping the car at Morrison Motors…hopefully it’s only a minor repair.

Chris was extremely careful with my car. He checked the load twice. He also handled morning rush-hour traffic well and navigated his way around to avoid the speed bumps. He was really nice to talk to even though he had to concentrate a lot.
