I had a tire light come on while I was driving my car and pulled into Maaco. A very nice gentleman was in one of the bays, and I asked him for help. His name was Chandler, and after he checked and filled all four tires, he wouldn't even take a $5 bill I tried to give him.

So I came to AAMCO for a transmission flush. My car runs fine no issues. They said my reverse shifts hard. Lol. Then they made me sign a waiver that since my oil is a lil dark they will not be responsible if anything happens. Also that my transmission should only last like 125k. I have 2 of the same vehicles no issues with either. Been to other shops and they don't do there service the same. I have tpms on I was surprised that they did not mention or try to sell me a tpms. SMH.......
I came to AAMCO for a pre-purchase inspection on an Audi I was about to buy. I specifically asked if they would check everything, fluids, mechanics, mounts, etc. They assured me they would. After their inspection, they told me the only issue was a belt that would cost around $100. Based on their report, I trusted them, bought the car without negotiating, and thought everything was fine.
The very next day, I noticed a shake and brought the car back. Suddenly they discovered the engine mounts were bad and I also asked them about the transmission fluid and they said that the transmission fluid was in terrible condition, things they completely missed the day before. The estimate to fix these issues was over $2,600. When I asked why this wasn’t reported during the inspection I had paid for, the answer was basically: “Oh, we did not check those.”
This is unacceptable. A pre-purchase inspection is supposed to protect the buyer, not mislead them into thousands of dollars in repairs. Because of their oversight, I am now stuck with a car that has major issues they should have caught from the beginning.
I would like the general manager to contact me directly to discuss a fair solution to this matter.
Took my Mercedes to the shop to see why I was having jerking problems when accelerating on speed, and they told me that I needed a new transmission. The qoute they gave me was 20k for a new one. So I decided to take it to another shop to get another opinion. The guy checks it out and told me that my car only needed transmission fluid and it rides perfectly fine.
Great service! Jeff the manager is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Chandler at front desk is super friendly and helpful. The repair cost is reasonable. This will be my future go-to place!
Steve at the Chandler location on Arizona ave and Germann was fantastic. Great customer service and very friendly. The AC broke and we didn’t want to waste money and time going to the dealership. Not only did they fix the AC in an hour. It cost less than $500. Great location too!
I go in for a transmission flush then after a hour of them having my car they come back and tell me all the things wrong with my transmission and didn't even do the flush I even showed up early as soon as they opened. to not mess with there schedule. can I just get the service I asked for instead of waisting my time. and telling me its gonna cost 1000 bucks to fix it. do not recommend

Took my car in to check up on my transmission and brakes. Speedy, honest, and didn’t try to force me to buy anything. End of the day bill was $0.00. Will definitely be coming back here. Best experience to date at a mechanic’s shop.
Took my car in for a free AC check since my car was blowing hot air. This location is fairly busy so they most likely aren't able to do a free check the day of but they do provide you with dates 1-2 days later. I schedule mine for the next day in the morning and Steve was a pleasure to speak on the phone. He got my info and asked me what was going on with my AC.
I dropped it off and within one hour Steve gave me a call and told me "Good news, seems that a connector to my condensor wasn't plugged in all the way, causing the car to only blow hot air. We didn't find any other issues so you're good to pick up your car." I picked it up, free of charge and he told me maybe the connector might've gotten loose or maybe the connector on the condensor is bad. Either way, it's fixable and they'll be more than happy to help again.
First time at this location and so far so good. Steve and the team seem great and I would highly recommend.
Took my car in for a transmission concern and AC repair on a Monday, and was back in my car 3 days later with it driving like new blowing ice cold AC. They were very informative throughout the repair process and also pointed out a few other items that need attention. By far the best repair shop I’ve been to in a long time and will continue to use their services for big repairs.

Transmission rebuild required on my AWD 2009 truck- 6L80 . Dropped vehicle off on Wednesday and it was returned on Friday.
1) $1,384 for initial inspection which includes line flush, removal of transmission, inspection and reinstall.
2) $3,773 for new fluids, new torque converter and transmission overhaul kit parts.
3) $1,278 for labor cost of rebuilding transmission.
4) $400 for reprogramming/re-flashing the transmission control module (TCM).
5) $570 for shop supplies and taxes.
In total the cost was $7,400.
This also includes a 36 month or 50,000 mile limited warranty on all parts and labor.
The transmission shifting and response has improved.
I have been having an issue with my beloved 2002 Tacoma (thing is, the truck has a brand new engine under warranty).
I thought it was a transmission issue so I brought it here instead of my engine guy.
This location was SOOOO honest and thorough. They diagnosed a few issues (some related and some not) and recommended I check with my engine guy bc they wanted me to be able to keep & use the warranty if 1 of the codes was legit.
They offered to work on the other minor issues later, but told me to get the engine taken care of since it was more time sensitive w the warranty and such.
They topped off my fluid to make sure the transmission kept running great and didn't charge me a thing!
I couldn't believe it.
As a female, I have been to my share of mechanics who have lied, tried to trick me, and overcharged me. Not only this this AAMCO not do those things, they described everything they found in great detail so I could make the best decision possible for my truck.
They didn't make money off me that day, but they have gained a customer for life!
I'll definitely be back. Hopefully very soon as I think I've figured out the issue and I'm hoping they can do this work for me.

Several weeks ago we had our Ford Escape transmission rebuilt by AAMCO in Chandler. They got it done quickly and for less money than just replacing it. I didn't write the review right away because I wanted to see how it would do on a trip. I just got back from East Texas and it did great. Very happy!
Just this week, I started noticing what felt like a lunging feeling with my car as I accelerated after being idle at red light, I was concerned that it may be my transmission. I quickly made an appointment to have it assessed at AAMCO on AZ Ave. It took them about two hours to assess my car and when I returned to pick it up and talk with them, I was very pleasantly surprised to find out it was not the transmission, but something known to be glitchy with the double clutch in my MB. As a female going in to a car repair shop, it’s always intimidating, but the guys were super friendly and very kind in their explanation of what was happening with my car and reassured me that it was not so concerning - They told me to take it to MB that it is most likely part of my service plan. I greatly appreciated their time, honesty & professionalism - So relieved and so grateful! THANK YOU To the 2 kind gentleman who assisted me!

I had a great experience last week with Jeff at Aamco. I brought in my truck for ( what I thought was leaking transmission fluid ) turns out is was something different not related. Jeff kept me up to date on the estimate for repairs and had me give the green light before any services were performed. Jeff and the techs did a great job! I highly recommended these folks! Hunter H
I had one of the best experiences of my life considering I know nothing about cars! I stopped in at AAMCO on my way home from work to ask for help. A dealership replacement job was left incomplete. They had to replace the engine under warranty due to an engine seizing problem. AAMCO not only finished the job for me but they found a coolant leak that was caused by the job done at the dealership. Then to further help me the store manager Jeff typed up documentation for me indicating what they had to do to finish the incomplete job by the dealership and describe everything that needed to be done to repair the coolant leak for me to submit to the dealership as I needed to return to them for this additional warranty work. Since I just moved to Arizona I will now be a lifetime customer of AAMCO and have all my regular oil changes and any future work if needed completed by them for thorough and exceptional work. They are truly the professionals!!! I recommend everyone stop in and see Jeff for all of your vehicle needs. You’ll see for yourself how friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable he and his staff truly are… and end up a lifetime customer like me!
Brought my work truck in on Wednesday. The transmission was completely shot. I got a heavy duty build on it with a great warranty. They had it done the following Tuesday. The truck drives and performs better than it did before. As a former mechanic, these guys were professionals in the care and handling of my truck. I recommend this place to anyone looking for quality.
I can't speak highly enough about the customer service from Darren and Jesse the mechanic. I had a big clutch job that had to be done. He kept me updated, and informed during the whole process. He saved me several thousand dollars by finding a sleeve to fix the front half of the transmission rather than having to replace it. I will use them in the future for all my repairs.
