This is a great shop. James and the rest of the crew are great mechanics. They treated me with kindness and the upmost respect. They worked on two of my vehicles and gave me fair prices for both with outstanding work. I would highly recommend this shop over any other in the area. These guys saved our trip and our dog. We were passing through Payson for a cross country trip. We are from Massachusetts. As I made a turn I realized my steering was not working the way it should so I pulled over and looked and my steering rack bushings were not there?. I called Strawberry Motorworks on Sunday afternoon told them our situation and he said yeah come tomorrow we can definitely help you and boy they did. We got there at 8 am they pulled my car right in and got to work. As we were waiting our dogs collar came apart. She’s an 8 month old Australian shepherd so she bolted into the woods. The guys came running out helping us get our dog. She ran in the street ( almost got hit 3 times) and into the woods in the back. We were terrified. Once we got her in the creek out back she was able to be captured. There were the guys with us to explain to the neighbor why we were on his property. My wife took a dive trying to get her and cut up her leg. They came right out with a first aid kit ready to help. We cracked some jokes and before you knew it the car was done at around 9:30. These guys are life savers and I see a lot of people complaining about their prices but if you look around they are actually slightly below the average for the state. In Massachusetts you’re paying way more for worse service so please give the price thing a break. I can’t thank them enough. It was a never forget experience for sure!!!
Saved our camping trip! We got a flat tire while we were driving around up on the Rim. The mechanic at Clint's Wells was closed (on a Saturday), so they sent us down to Strawberry. These guys fixed our flat tire within 10 minutes and had us back on our way...and they were super nice too. If you need any work done or need an emergency visit to the repair shop, these guys are the real deal.
Received estimate for 4 trailer tires and they gave me a fair price. Scheduled time for install and balance. 2nd time using them. Sure beats a drive to Payson or flagstaff. 5 star service.
We had a tire losing air. The mechanic found a nail quickly, removed and repaired/replaced the tire quickly for minimal charge. Very professional, friendly service.
i have a bullshit from this truck i had paid over 8,000.00 for a repair for a dead mechanic that owned it and now it is taken for last mechanic i would never allow him to choice from an aircraft mechanic
James saved the day! My wife and I were in Strawberry for a wedding and had vehicle issues. James had us fixed up and we’re were able to get back home. Honest mechanics are hard to find these days. I will always recommend Strawberry Motorwerks. Thank you!

Have had my RZR serviced by James and Zach 2 times. 2 tire changes, an oil change, transmission fluid change and some other miscellaneous items like mounting a winch. They work hard to deliver the job on time and at a very fair price. My impression is James has a lot of experience with automobiles and that’s what you are paying for when you work with him.
EXPENSIVE ...... $135/hr labor rate, that's dealership prices not what you expect from a small town shop. They did rush a job for me which was appreciated but I paid for it. Paid $75 for about 20 minutes work.. Asked before they started what it was going to cost and did not get an answer. Find out in advance what you will be paying. Wont be back unless I absolutely have no other choice or option.
Well sadly I must part ways with this place. They do good work but they are expensive, very expensive, dealership expensive, Rolls Royce expensive. I've been an auto mechanic half my life and I know what it takes to do most jobs and todays visit, well left me angry and hurt. You should concider charging for work performed and not full cost out of your labor book for the entire job that you didnt perform.

Rick has taken care of my vehicles multiple times. Has help me identify and other places scams from other repair facilities and has saved me a ton of money. I won’t trust anyone else with my families vehicles.
SCAMMER ALERT!!!!!! was first quoted $500 then it was raised to $700 then the final bill was $1100. My car is NOT working efficiently, and making more noises than when I brought it in. it also took an entire day longer than they said. Was told to come in at 8am and it would be done by 12pm, I arrived at 7:47 and it was not done till 4pm the next day. unprofessional
As a woman with no knowledge of car mechanics, I always feel vulnerable when taking in my vehicle anywhere. THESE GUYS ARE FABULOUS. They took their time to explain and to show me what was needed and kept me updated on the entire process. No unnecessary work or charges, honest, conscientious, high standard and fairly priced. I can't say enough good things. I would recommend to anyone and will. I took a handful of cards and intend to get the word out! Excellent experience!
Brought my car here due to an oil leak. Filed a insurance claim, $4000 later my car leaks oil worse than before. Brought it to the owners attention and all I got was a shoulder shrug.
We"ve taken our vehicles to Rick for several years. I've worked in the automotive field most of my working years and have a pretty good idea of what an honest, reputable shop is. Rick knows his stuff and charges fairly for work well done. Highly recommended.
What I like most about this small shop is Rick the owner requires that his technicians preform only the best work or it doesn't leave his shop. Sometimes it can take a day or two to obtain the parts but it will be worth the wait.
I schedule an appointment to have a hitch put on and when I got there they pulled my truck pretty much right in and had it done in less than an hour Great Service
Engine light came on and truck started acting up midway between Camp Verde and Strawberry. Made it to these guys and they were able to diagnose the issue and fix it pretty quickly. On a holiday weekend. Also reasonable on tge pricing.
I was very happy with The service I received. Price was lower than what they quoted me. Also had to up my appointment and they were very accommodating and got me in that very day. No need to drive all the way to Payson for your auto issues, this shop will definitely take care of you.
Do not use!!! They damaged our classic car and put a huge dent in the side. They lied and said the car was like that when we dropped it off, but we have witnesses that can attest it was not. Shameful business practices. ADDED after owner response. The claim was only denied because you lied and said the car was dented when it arrived. It was not. So obvious how you parked the car against the building so my husband had to walk around the back to get in and not see the huge dent in the front your workers put in it. Sorry for you Rick, because we are filing a law suit.
Rick was very efficient working on our car and got right down to the point. My husband and I highly recommend him for any services you need for your car. Didn't want to charge an arm and a leg either
