My car started making a horrible ticking/thumping sound... I was nearby so I drove to glacier auto repair, there wasn't a phone number so I just drove in.
He was so kind and patient and took the time to diagnose the issue as a exhaust manifold problem.... I went up to Palmer to get it fixed and the issue was exactly as he said. My car has never run quieter now !
Super knowledgeable guy, he figured out my issue within seconds of hearing the car. So grateful for his patience and kindness in helping me.

Glacier view Auto (Jared) is amazing.We were in a big bind - flat inner RV tire in the Glacier view campground on a Sunday. After two hours of trying to figure things out-My bottle jack would not raise the vehicle enough to change -left a message on their phone,Jared called back, said to meet him at the shop, found a faulty valve stem an Anchorage shop missed. We had a nail in our tire and we were fortunate enough to find Jared nearby. I stopped by in the morning and Jared took care of it in no time. Jared is a wonderful kind person and it was a pleasure to meet him that morning. If you are on this highway and have a car problem, there is literally nowhere else to go for miles and you will deeply appreciate what Jared does. I wish him great success and happiness.
The low tire pressure light on our rental car came on during our trip to Valdez. I thought we might had to cancel our trip or be stranded there for at least a few hours. Luckily this shop was nearby and Jared took care of the nail in the tire very quickly and saved my day!
If you're in the area and need repairs, I definitely recommend you call Glacier View Auto Repair. This guy is very nice, prices are reasonable, knowledgeable and dependable. Doesn't make roadside service calls, but he came out after hours and got us going when we were on the side of the road. He won't leave you stranded. I would definitely call him again.
I will always get auto work done by Jared. He gives you an honest price and is one of the kindest people on this earth. He also does just as good of a job as any other place you could go to, but he cares a whole lot more.
