They were remarkably helpful! I've been multiple times to recycle and they have people help you unload. I called to ask about volunteering opportunities for my daughter and they got her right in. A great experience all around. We will certainly be back.
Wonderful facility! They take so much more than the Anchorage center and their staff and volunteers are so, so helpful and friendly. Makes the drive up from Anchorage so worth it. I will be back weekly, thank you!!!
It’s wonderful the different materials they can take for reuse and recycling. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful, and the pamphlet for what can and can’t be dropped off is very clear. Their used book store and educational center inside is also great! They also will give a kid a free book when they bring in aluminum cans, so I recommend bringing a kid to the office next time you’re there so you can do that!

The only recycling center I've been to where they actually offer education programs to teach the public about recycling In many ways! We took a few composting classes with Ellie from Mat-Su borough. It's actually a treat going there. They have art installations and a book exchange. They really care about solving our waste problem and are actually doing something about it. The staff is so nice here it is a pleasure to work with them.
The Valley Community Recycling Center provides an easy and smooth recycling experience. The employees are helpful and very friendly, from the person who greets you at the booth, to the recycling pros in the building. And who doesn’t like to deal with their recycling under a roof? The bins are never overflowing because they have these handy chutes where your sorted recycling slides down into a container and you never touch it. Their hours are reasonable, as well as the small donation that they suggest. I’m a big fan of this non-profit organization and I appreciate the community service that they provide. Please, Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
Old lady at the booth demanding a suggested fee. No wonder why there is so much trash thrown out around the valley. I'd rather burn it then go back through because of people like that.
I phoned with a outlandish request to see if accidentally donated cords would be findable. Teri (not sure the spelling) ran around, bent over backwards & attempted to help me SO happily/easily. Amazing customer service!!
It was easy to pull through and drop into marked bins with photos. There was lots of friendly help me unload my recycled materials. I was in and out amazingly fast.
These guys are great! They take nearly everything except glass (take that to Anchorage landfill) and a wide range of items you might not think of, like old wires and cables from home electronics. The staff on site are also always helpful, so I'm happy to make a donation each time I make a drop-off run.
Provide a professional and essential service for the valley. They can not take all recyclables, but can handle most. Check their facebook for what they can and cant accept.
Excellent website. Easily to read & follow. Have a lot of DOG food cans to drop of. Didn't know location until Tuesday when we had to pick up our 2 dogs @ from doggie jail. Saw large sign "Recycling" and realized where I could take my 2 large garbage bag full of clean doggie food cans. Googled to find out hours & saw this nicely done website.
Free (donations accepted) recycling center. We love it and plan on sorting our recycling at home and coming here weekly! People available to help sort and unload. Brought our trailer full of boxes and plastic and they were so helpful. They don't take glass though.
