Absolutely terrible. It's frankly terrifying how bad their service is. My tire burst and I've been stranded for almost and hour and a half, then called progressive to get reassigned. They do not answer your or your providers calls. It's -25 out, if I was an old lady or had any other vehicle issue this kind of incompetence could result in a death. Not sure if their company is a scam, all I know is if you see their your roadside, reassign.
They were contacted by my insurance company to tow to my house. When I got home from work the car was not at my house and we couldn’t locate the car for a few days. They towed it to my house then called my son and said they were gonna leave it at Walmart because they were confused about where it was supposed to go. After calling them back they said they would tow it like they were paid for and then they ghosted me. It’s taken almost a week to get this resolved and we ended up calling S and S towing to get the job done out of pocket.
We had an accident and the insurance company sent these guys who never showed up after 4 hours. They didn’t answer the phone when we called to try to find out what was going on. They left us hanging so the insurance company had to cancel them and send someone else. Terrible night for us because we had an accident then Preferred Towing made it worse with terrible service.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We waited for a PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED tow for FIVE HOURS. They continuously lied about their ETA, kept hanging up when those lies were confronted, and then after FIVE HOURS, managed to tell us the car was too short, after lying that they were at the location. And then hung up on us again. To clarify, they said they were at our location, but were not, presumably to buy more time. I'm not sure they ever left the company location in the first place.
If you value any semblance of your time, stay far, far, away from this company.
Our first contact was positive, from there it was downhill. We're in fairbanks alaska for the summer and our truck wouldn't start. We're traveling in our rv. It's our only vehicle. First,we were told that they would arrive at 8:30am, we asked for 8:00 because that was when the shop could get us in. Second, they said that the driver would call when close to us. We waited until 9:30 no call so we called the office. They said that the driver couldn't find us. We're in the KOA in north pole. They said that he drove all around and didn't see us. We know that was a lie. The driver went back to their yard. He never even called. We found out that the driver is so hard of hearing, he doesn't even use a cell phone. Nothing but lies. The driver finally showed up, my husband had to flag him down because he was going the wrong direction from us. I know this is long,but it was one big fiasco. It got worse when we had to pay and needed a receipt for insurance. If you don't want the headache find another company.
Tony was quick & accurate to diagnose my Cadillac. He had me in and out in less than an hour with a list of things that needed tending too. They are not your average towing company.
Helped me with getting my car out of impound, pretty much without any delay, and surprisingly affordable. Very profesional. If u ever get ur car impounded and getting it out was almost impossible, call these guys, the impound lot actually prefers to work with the tow companys plus its alot easier with almost zero hoops to jump thru, I didn't even have to go to city hall in person, I sent them a copy of my DL and bam, I just have to pick up at the tow company's place of business and the best part is since Preferred Towing is on site, u can pretty much arrange to pick up no matter what ur schedule is, otherwise ur stuck trying to make arrangements around state business hours, and u know how that goes, or maybe u dont cuz State working hours never aligns up with the rest of the world's working hours.
Tony came to tow my bus and didn’t bring the right tools to disconnect my driveshaft. Rather than wait for his buddy to bring the right tool he stripped the bolts using some channel locks. When he dropped off the bus at the shop he conveniently forgot to reattach the driveshaft before leaving. Just now when I went to put it back myself I realized why. The bolts are stripped! Also the wrecker he brought was far too small for my bus. Do not recommend.
Glenn showed up within 45 min. Via our insurance roadside assistance. Really helpful and friendly guy. He worked to get air into tire as our newer vehicle has an onboard compressor and seal kit that did not work. Once he got it pressured up, he followed me home about 10 miles. Great experience!
Called to get my vehicle towed. We agreed on a set time for pick up. I leave work to meet the tow truck driver at said time, 30mins go by and he's not here yet. I called back and was told he was running late. I leave the keys in the car and have to head back to work. 1hr and 30mins later he shows up. No communication he was going to be late or anything. I had to call to get my receipt and took the lady 10mins to email it. Definitely not the towing company I would use again for reliable service. Very disappointed.
Glenn was amazing! We contacted our insurance and they contacted preferred towing. We live far out of town and they were able to get here in a reasonably amount of town.
Glenn got us stuck out of a horrible spot, we were scared we were going to flip the car if we tried getting it out ourselves.
Best snow recovery we’ve ever seen!
This gentleman is amazingly awesome! He took the time and care plus, had great patience in pulling my truck out that was stuck in a snow drift. I mean, she was REALLY, REALLY stuck, too. Thanks so much for the great service and nice laugh. I highly recommend Preferred Towing & Recovery with their fast and efficient skills.
If I could do negative stars we would! Called to have a vehicle unlocked on base. The first question we asked was if they have access to the military installation and they said yes! After 2 hrs of waiting, the driver called wanting me to meet him at the gate to sponsor him on and said there will be an extra charge for on base. My vehicle was locked first off and secondly they said they had access. Since they were unable to perform the service we said we will make other plans and they would refund our card. They ended up charging us a cancelation charge of $80! When I called to dispute it the non English speaking "manager" kept telling me they are not refunding it and we are just going in circles asking them. I told them I would be reporting them and disputing the charges with my credit card company so that's what we had to do. We got refunded after an investigation was done. Absolutely trash customer service! DO NOT USE!!

I used this service through State Farm. They were very quick to get there. The driver was courteous, efficient, and knew what he was doing. I got my car stuck on a small cement separation at a parking lot, and he got it off by pulling it sideways (I didn't know they could do that!). I was afraid there would be some damage, but it was all good. Thank you for the service!
From call out to delivery to my home it was less than 1 hour, the tow truck driver was kind and friendly. This is my 2nd time using this company and I'm pleased each time.
I spoke with the owner Chris personally and he was very courteous! Not to mention his salesman at the front desk who ultimately took care of my payment. The owner made arrangements with me to deliver my car to the dealership for repairs. He was fair with the price and extremely punctual with the delievery! Same day delievery in fact! Fast, and friendly customer service and if I ever need to tow in the future I'll be sure to use them again. The owner really seems to care about his customers.
I would give this company a minus rating if possible. They literally towed my husbands vehicle from Denali State Parking lot to who knows where. My husband didn't know it was missing until he left work to head home and his truck was missing. We reported it stolen and long story short this tow company picked up the wrong vehicle ours! They didn't admit to the mistake until they were confronted with proof. (Fortunately an associate saw them return the vehicle and took pictures). They said this was their best driver!!!

I called to get a vehicle towed from a parking lot to my home. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and pleasant. My tow should have been approximately 25 miles.
First off, she informed me there was a charge per mile to drive to where my vehicle was located.
( After calling most other tow companies in town, no one else does this!)
Secondly, she put me on hold to figure my estimate.
She said according to Google Maps, my tow would be 48 miles. I told her this was wrong. I have been driving this for a long time and it is approximately 25 miles. Apparently, she cannot figure anything out without Google Maps. When I told her the mileage was wrong, she got an attitude and informed me if I didn’t like the estimate I should call someone else.
I started to say that maybe they should use some other system to figure mileage and she hung up on me.
Now there is real professionalism!!

Interior Towing was $165.00
Will NEVER call them again OR recommend them to anyone!!
I am astonished by the quality of customer service, Bill & his Wife are very good folks who genuinely care about taking care of those in need of service. From the moment I called, to the moment Bill left, my heart was full & knew we were in honest care. I have never in my life had such good, honest, caring tow service. A lot of recovery places around here this time of the year, will try to ring you up an arm and a leg. Please, do not waste your time or money on another service, you will be glad you went with these guys. Thanks again, keep up the great service!!
Have used them in the past with good results, today driver said he couldn't get my vehicle out because it had too much snow on it, told the driver id be there in 5 minutes to shovel it off. When I got there he was nowhere to be found, tried calling and no answer. Had the vehicle uncovered and ready to go 12 minutes from talking to him. Waited an hour and he still never showed back up, so I called him back and he didn't answer. So I called the office and they said he was sent on another job.So if he knew he was not going to be there why wouldn't he have told me that so I didn't rush over and scramble to get it cleared off if he knew he wasn't going to be there. Very unprofessional in my opinion, won't be using them anymore
TRUST WORTHY and Very professional, quick serve. Jeep broke down in a very difficult location to get to and they still came out got it in the flatbed and brought it home. And miss understanding communication error on payment, we where paying in cash and card but company ended up charging full amount to card and then realized it was a split payment. Company called right away to clear up misunderstanding and then sent a driver right over with cash that was suppose to be applied to tow fee. Preferred Towing will be my first choice should I need a tow again. A+
My mother-in-law wound up in a steep snow bank off Ballaine. The first tow company couldn't pull it, but Bill pulled it out easily with a smaller truck and "bear claw" anchors behind his rear tires in less than 10 minutes. A great help in that stressful moment.
Ryan was great. He called ahead to obtain some details about my problem and came prepared to help. He provided me a time frame in which to expect him and he arrived in that time. He was kind and funny, and made me feel so much better about the issue at hand, explaining things as he went about getting my car loaded up. His personal level of customer service was far and above what I've experienced with other companies in the past. I would absolutely recommend Preferred!
Waited for them all day for them to send a non 4 wheel drive truck at night, and then they said they couldn't get our vehicle with the one they brought. When i got the call to reschedule for 1st thing in the morning they didn't act like they wanted to do the job so we just canceled and got with someone else.
They were quick but the guy who picked me and my truck up. Once we got to my house and it became apparent he couldn't make it up the steep part of our drive way he backed down the driveway and ended up kicking me out of the truck when our roommate drove up behind us so he could turn around and drop the truck off down the drive way on a more flat area. The part that totally sucked and rated them a single star was that he left my truck which died due to a bad alternator, that quit working thus the need for the tow, in the MIDDLE of the drive way no were near were we asked him to leave it, effectively stranding me and our roommate at the house and needing a friend to bring my bf home and to help pull the truck over to the side of the driveway enough so they could drive to work the next day...
Called them early in the afternoon. They said give them a couple hours and they would be out. We waited for several hours and they never showed. We called them back at about 6. They said it would be a little while but they would definitely.be out. At 8 they still hasn't shown or called so we called them back. They said be here within 30 minutes. We went to bed at 11:30 still no tow truck or phone call. We called at 11 the next morning we got the same promises. When they hadn't shown up by 1 we called Ron's. They said they couldn't make it out but recommended Borealis Towing which did a great job. We never heard from Preferred towing on the second day and only got excuses when we called them that morning. We will never call Preferred Towing again and if we have the need for a tow company and our insurance wants to use Preferred we will request they call a different company.
