I highly recommend Sumiton Iron & Metal. We sold scrap to them for the first time last weekend and got more for it than we thought we would. We have been remodeling a cabin on the Warrior River and the metal came from the cabin. If we ever have metal in the future, I would absolutely take it here again.
I had brought number one copper up there 41 pounds of it that I worked very hard to get and they put it all down as number two copper giving me $20 because it was burned. Treated me as if I was stupid. I told them to take their money back and give me my copper back ide take it else were and they said we can't do that it's done been seperated I had to drive an hour back home it pays for my gas up there and back.
I recommend not ever going here they will rip you off and not think twice about it.
First time I went they done good second time they cut my weight of copper by at least 20 pounds and rang it as #2 copper when it was #1 took the same thing the first time as the second and was rude when I asked about it and they said that’s how it’s gonna be when you bring that in
On the phone they are rude as can be idk about in person I won't be finding out Ill never go to a place that talks to customers like that if I talk to my customers they way they just talked to me I wouldn't have a business I'm not stressing taking off this junk I have all I wanted to know is what time they closed to see if I had time and I didn't but I won't be giving them my business also they close at 1230 on Saturday not 1 so google had their time wrong maybe if they would fix that they wouldn't have people showing up at1231 learn to talk to people with respect and maybe y'all won't get bad reviews
Wouldn't accept scrap with some paper on it. But yet Walker county scrap yard took it with no problems. No questions asked. Won't never come here again
This shady operation runs a scam with incorrect scales and then hides the fact that they only pay half of what all other scrap yards in the state pay. Owner was very rude and even yelled at my pregnant wife.
I'm giving them a 1 star only because 0 stars isn't an option .
We absolutely love this place ,couldnt meet a better person to do business with Clint is wonderful and has a heart of gold. Treats people right and fair on prices.
Would give no stars but can't. They broke the handle off my truck and laughed about it then refused to fix it. Been going here for a while but will never go back!
