Absolute trash! I was in a car accident & hurt & couldnt retrieve my items out the car at the time & they took advantage & stole everything that could benefit them. Highly don’t recommend.
Great front office customer service. Judy was kind and went above and beyond by checking my car for personal items and mailing them to me. Having your car totaled out is upsetting. Her kindness was much appreciated!
**I really hope these calls are recorded for quality and training purposes** I was in a terrible accident where another drive blew through a red light and T-Boned my vehicle July 17th. My vehicle was transported to Copart July 22nd. Insurance said it is likely to be a totaled loss and to call copart to arrange shipping personal items to me. I spoke to Ellen on the phone. Explained to her my vehicles carfax, all dealership records from my purchase, and title/tag information were in the glove box, along with a phone charger, and garage remote. Not only that but the keys had my mail key, home key, and office key for work still attached. She felt it was important to begin to lecture me on how stupid it was to leave those items in the glove compartment and if I lived in mobile why don’t I just come get them myself. First of all I live in Gulf Shores…Not mobile. I explained that to her and I went further to explain I was in a vehicle accident and transported via ambulance following the accident. I did not have a chance to retrieve anything after an accident. I still am unable to drive due to my injuries and I don’t appreciate her chastising me after such an incident when all I needed to do was arrange mailing my personal items. I even said I was willing to pay for the items to be mailed to me. She discouraged me from doing that and said it was “a hassle to do it that way bc I would need to mail a cashiers check” and to call my insurance to arrange it. She didn’t give me another option. I really would love to address this with a manager cause this was uncalled for and I STILL need to arrange getting my items.
Drove 7 hrs. to do a pickup. The yard is small and the staff works out of a mobile home. They were friendly and had my car ready to load within 15 minutes of my arrival. Overall a good experience. But know that Copart loves to add all kinds of fees when you purchase a car and their fees go up all the time. The car I bought was $2,600 after Copart fees it was $3,500. That's over 30% (sales tax was not included)
Called copart to give me another day before towing my car from the dealer shop to their tow yard since I was working and they said "okay no problem, we will pick it up in on ___ at 1pm". I showed up to pick up my belongings at 10am and they towed it early without my permission. Drove an hour there to pick up my belongings and of course some of my things were missing and they at first promised me they didn't throw anything away. Then they come back with wet soggy pictures I said were missing from their dumpster after just telling me multiple times to my face they didnt steal or throw anything away. They told me to file a claim with my insurance and hope I get back money for what was missing. Not a trustworthy place. Frustrating experience and would not use them in the future unless I was forced to. Make sure you grab all your belongings out before they are even called, because even if you call copart and ask them to wait on picking up your car, they will still pick it up anyway with or without your permission. I didn't even give them the title yet and they cleaned out my car just so they can get pictures to auction it. Manager and staff was no help to the situation.
