My daughter was having battery issues with her car. I called the store and spoke with Alex. He was very nice and said to have her come by and he would take a look. When she arrived Alex assessed the issue quickly and retightened the loose battery cable for her. As a parent it’s comforting to know that there are still businesses and people that provide top notch service. I will continue to take my business to Advance Auto.

I had some corrosion on a battery installed by a former employee from the same location. The corrosion was caused due to employee negligence. John did a great job fixing the problem and installing the battery correctly. I told John as I was leaving that "you are the best employee I have had an experience with at this store". From what I can gather from previous experience is there is a management problem at this location as I have seen positions posted for the same location. Advance Auto Parts Corporate....John needs to be moved up to a leadership role so he can fix some problems....especially regarding employee tool access. One a previous visit to this same location, the employees didn't have access to a standard wrench so I could remove the tag bolts on my car with me. I had to buy one. Thank you John for taking care of me today. You have renewed my opinion of Advance Auto Stores in Lee County...as all of them have been less than stellar. Maybe I am just biased as a female owner of a repair shop in Montgomery. The Advance on Atlanta Hwy by Mount Meigs was the best. Would love to have that same experience at the Advance stores wherever I may need to visit. Promote John @ the College Street Auburn location!!!!!

God bless the 2 gentlemen that assisted me last night in the middle of a rain storm! They were both so caring and friendly and even extended a discount! My wipers were installed in a matter of minutes. I am truly thankful for their help and courtesy! Thank you both so very much

Christopher helped me today and he was fantastic. I had a warning light about my car battery come and he took the time to test my car and confirm it was the alternator and help me a new alternator at a great price. Never talked down to me, and his calmness and humor helped alleviate my stress. I would definitely stay come back to this location if I was having trouble again

I have never gained such a disdain for anyone or any store in my life but these idiots have done it today for me. My husband went inside to get a headlight because we saw it was “in stock” at this location on their website. The clerk refused to sell my husband the headlight because my husband did not have a commercial license or a business agreement with their store. They claimed that the headlight was not available for purchase to the public. My husband told them that we could simply just purchase this headlight online for pickup at their store. The clerk said that would not work either because we did not have a commercial license or business agreement. The clerk even checked with the Manager and he backed up what the clerk was saying. All this occurred around 8:45 at night and we were desperate for a headlight because we had a long drive home and they did not care. They did attempt to up sell my husband a headlight for $40. Absolutely shameless !!!! If any parts are not available to the general public for purchase then Advanced Parts should not have it available for purchase online and there should be a disclaimer listed. That is common sense. The logic and the explanation my husband was given by the clerk does not make any sense. I posted pictures below in my review showing the headlight in my cart, at the point of purchase, and just needing me to pay. These people are absolute liars and they lack basic business ethics and integrity. They are pushing customers to buy the more expensive parts and making up rules as they go. I called Auto Zone and what they told me over the phone matched to what was online and I was never told anything about a commercial license. Kudos to Auto Zone for being honest. Advanced Parts needs to do better !!!!

Thank you. I needed to replace my light and it's one of those stupid HID ones. They helped and showed me how it was suppose to come out. They are always so helpful when I go there.

Nice auto parts store close to the AU campus. It is across the street from the Walmart on College St. You can access it from Longleaf Dr on a back block so you don't have to get out on College. I was greeted when I walked in the door. An employee helped me find what I was looking for. Lucky for me the item was on sale. Yes I will return if I need auto supplies.

I’ve been loyal to AAP against better judgement for 10+ years and this store was the icing on the cake to leave. After dealing with the disrespectful and ignorant employee by the name of Russell J. who refused service I’m never coming back. I have since closed my business’ commercial account and neither my business nor I will spend another penny here or at any AAP. I am not surprised AAP is going out of business if this is the customer service they provide nationwide.

they changed my car battery and told me my car was good to drive even though the battery light was still on. when asked about it, they said it was good to drive but guess whose car broke down in the middle of the highway? when I called them, they changed their story having absolutely no remorse for rushing to check my car just to get a quick sale.

Chris did a great and friendly job finding and then replacing my car battery that was Free because it was still under warranty. We buy all our car batteries there.

I normally don’t have any issues with advance auto stores. But there was one particular employee who was very rude and condescending towards me the entire time I was there. He acted bothered to help and just overall annoyed. Would not recommend going to this location if you can help it.

Poor customer service by Chester , have came to this location before with better service ,I needed a headlight for a 2021 Dodge Challenger purchased and replaced he said I could purchase it but he can’t assist with installing it, this is the first bad experience I’ve had with advance auto parts, everyone is usually so helpful .Hire individuals who are willing to actually help the customers and maintain their business ,even his demeanor was unwelcoming. They always install if it’s purchased from them .

I came into town for Thanksgiving and my Dad of course needed to check my car to make sure I didn’t need anything tuned up before I left back home to Atlanta. We ended up needing a new headlight, windshield wiper fluid and something to remove battery corrosion as my battery was very close to shutting off Chester the store manager was soooo helpful and knowledgeable that I’m actually sad that I won’t be able to come back to him for future car needs back home. He not only helped me understand how to address some of the long term issues I expressed to him. But he also helped us with some of the items needed to address the problems we came to his store for. There are many Advance Auto Parts in the area but make sure you come straight to this location if you need guidance and effortless kindness. Overall one of the best experiences I’ve had dealing with my car!

I had a wonderful experience here at this location after having a terrible experience at the opelika location. I had something that was buy 2 for $10 and get a free item. It wasn't ringing up correctly and the guy at the Opelika store was no help. Tray (I believe was his name) took the ad and figured out that I needed to buy 4 items instead of just 2, which was such a simple fix. Tray asked me if I needed help as soon as I walked in. I needed windshield wipers and he found those and even offered to put them on for me. He rang me up and a few customers came in behind and he said can I ring these people up first and then I will install them for you? I said yes, that would be perfectly fine. He installed them quickly and he was just so nice and polite. Even apologized for the bad experience I had in Opelika. I told my husband about him and he remembered Tray from when he had to get a replacement battery. He went above and beyond for my husband to find proof of purchase by calling the Pelham location which is where my husband bought the battery. He too had a great experience here. I wish Tray could be recognized and know that he is appreciated. :)

In the past, this location has been awesome; however, recently something has changed and there is no customer service here. Two weeks ago, I stopped in because I had a battery that appeared to be starting to fade. The doors were locked, and 5 customers gave up and left the parking lot 15 minutes after the store was supposed to open. I called three times, and no one answered. As I was leaving the parking lot, 20 minutes after the store was supposed to be open, an employee in a uniform was walking toward the door. I came back two hours later, and the door was still locked. After getting this same employee to the door (which was still locked), I was informed that "the manager had called in" so they wouldn't be able to assist me with a battery. I told the employee that I had been at the store earlier and that they had lost numerous opportunities to sell merchandise because the doors were locked. This employee said, "that is the managers fault for calling in sick." The door was locked behind me as I left. Last night, after my battery failed, I returned to the store unable to shut off the engine. The same employee who opened the store a few weeks ago was behind the register and informed me that they would sell me a battery but not install it. Fortunately, I was able to get a local big box store to install a battery and the total cost for their best battery was similar to the cost of the lowest grade here. I will not be back. The only reason I ever shopped at Advance was because they installed nearly everything they sold, and I felt that it was worth paying a little more for wiper blades and batteries when they would walk out and install them from you.

Bought battery online, went to store for pick up & installation. Nice lady to check me out was by herself. She was unable to pick up battery much less install. Had to return home to install, then return to store so I could get core value for old battery. Never experienced this with Advance Auto Parts before. Very disappointing!!

Workers are friendly. However, Poor Leadership. Manager Unmotivated! He didnt even know where car radios were. Went across street and gave walmart my business. Maybe general manager was having a bad day, but I bet the kinder workers would love the pay raise for his spot! Lead by example sir

After several trips and attempts to get a window motor they ordered one in to another store and it was the wrong side.I work for Discount Auto Parts which was bought out by Advance if I stand correct and my manager at the time told me to sell a part that looks like what the customer wants knowing it's not correct . This guarantees customer will be back and hopefully correct part will be their when they return . I can only believe this procedure still exists. I will never use Advance again. Never had a run around when I use O'Reilly Auto Parts.

Kimberly was sooooooo nice!!!! Mind you, I had just left the same store in another area and this man gone tell me he couldn’t check my car with his machine because it was drizzling!! Kim came out that door and got me right!!!! And taught me while doing it! New favorite store for sure!

Not good. Guy working (possibly manager) walking around store on the phone -on speaker phone- with gf or wife. Just chit chatting. Could not or would not help me with looking for a tire pump. Another person came to help. But stated she had been out sick for awhile and everything in store had been moved. I went to another store across the street.

Appreciate the customer service guys who are extremely busy. He provided excellent service, Jon Z. Replaced 3 customers batteries in less than an hour. Hope the battery works as well as the service.

I dropped by Advance to get some windshield wipers. Found me a very nice set from their nice selection. However, when i went to checkout the cashier checked out the two people in front of me and then i put my stuff up on the counter. The cashier the proceeded to walk away and help a customer across the store who had just come in the door.... I just wanted some wipers and couldn't even get checked out.

The service was great. I felt like the manager keith was talking down to his employee. He needs to go about training his employees differently and treat them more with respect. Im a former employee for advance and my boss never did that to me. I did not like how he went about trying to teach him how to do online orders.

My minivans battery died so I went there to nut a new one. But one of the associates tested my battery and said that it was all good and would only need to recharge. So I end up buying nothing there. The whole process was quick and free of charge. Very honest and professional people!

To say this staff is incredible is an understatement. As a female, I dread taking my car to places I'm not familiar with. These guys made certain I got the best deal, and got my car fixed up for me! Advance Auto Parts has done a phenomenal job at employing a great staff.

I have always used Advance Auto Parts for my old Ford Ranger if I don't have time to wait on Amazon to ship. They have what I need and they are very friendly and helpful. I think maybe the one on Opelika Rd has a little better service, but I've never had bad service to date.
