Marcus Copeland from ABAN towing called and was extremely rude and spoke like a thug from the streets. Loud, aggressive, unprofessional, arrogant, and belittling. I’m surprised GEICO would outsource a company like that. Please stay away. If GEICO dispatches this company, call and cancel.
I wish i could give a zero the driver was very disrespectful and rude one of the guys was very out of line didn’t want service me I called to explain what happened to the manager he was very rude and disrespectful outline be careful how you talk to people WE ARE ALL HUMAN
Terrible experience. Were told they would arrive at my home in 10 minutes. I was outside waiting on them. Claimed to my insurance had been knocking on my door for 10 minutes and left. Dishonest company.
Terrible service. They were booked through Geico, I waited almost 90 min and when I changed the drop off address to my home instead of the repair shop they cancelled. Horrible customer service. (My home is closer and I suspect it was the loss of the extra charges that precipitated the cancellation.) Do not recommend.
If I could rate them higher than 5 stars I would. Had a tire puncture today and was stuck on the side of 280. I own a Tesla and contacted Tesla roadside assistance. They did not have anyone in the area so they dispatched Aban towing. Driver was there within 20 minutes of the call— much sooner than the 45 minute estimated time. Driver was so kind and professional. I had an infant who needed to be in a car seat so I had ordered an Uber to pick us up and take us to the shop the car was being towed to. Driver loaded up our car and invited me and my son to sit in the cab in the cool air— it was 95 degrees out. While he stood and waited for our Uber. Most drivers would leave you there to figure everything out by yourself in the heat. He helped me get my bag and car seat into the uber. I wish I had caught his name. Such a great individual. I would (and will) recommend to anyone!
Ordered a tow at 10:00 PM & the ETA was listed as 11:05 PM to 11:50 PM. At 11:10 PM I called to get a status update & the mumbling person that answered the phone said that they cancelled the tow, because they didn’t have anyone available. I sat waiting for an hour before discovering Aban canceled the call without informing me. Do yourself a favor & call any other tow company for better service.
EDIT: Ray called and followed up on this situation after I had contacted them about it. He was very empathetic and assured me that rep had been dealt with. After a driver had falsely called off the service and left me waiting 2 hours on the side of the highway, they did everything they could to make it right, ensure it wouldn't happen again, and they offered me credit towards a future tow (which given the original service was requested through roadside and not paid out of pocket was all they could have done)
If I could rate 0 stars I would. I had a flat tire and a broken jack so I called road side service which assigned this company at 7AM to arrive between 8:04 and 8:34. I got a call shortly after the end of the ETA window from roadside saying that the service had been cancelled by the provider because someone here told them I couldn't be reached when I have 0 missed calls today 4/24. Someone seemingly didn't want to do their job so I have to wait another hour and a half on the side of the interstate until another company whose drivers actually do their job can come.
Driver did not call to make contact. Driver did not utilize the additional instructions, and falsely claimed that the call for service was cancelled. Leaving my elderly parent without assistance. Would not recommend this company.
I just interacted with a representative of this towing company, and he was extremely professional and made sure that I was safe and taken care of. Also very kind.
My fiancé had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. From the moment she called for service, the staff was unprofessional and rude. Instead of providing assistance, they were argumentative and dismissive, making an already stressful situation even worse.
Rather than communicating clearly and respectfully, they were condescending and acted as if I was inconveniencing them. Professionalism and customer service were clearly not priorities for this company.
If you’re looking for a reliable and courteous towing service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This company lacks basic respect for its customers, and I would never use their services again. Geico needs to find another tow company to use.
Not surprised by the current 3.8 stars but would like to echo that this is most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a business. Ray belittled me when I called to happily pay a small $40 charge. I simply asked for pricing via email for my records and he stated that was I “looking for someone to blame” I was “exclamatory” and “couldnt comprehend my policy” he is aggressive and I reported the entire incident to Geico. Just say no!
I broke down on the side of the road in the rain and reached out to ABAN, the closest towing service in the area. I’m so glad I did! The dispatcher was very professional. The driver arrived quickly, and he had my vehicle up and loaded swiftly and efficiently. Their service was smooth and stress-free. I’d highly recommend ABAN to anyone in need of reliable roadside assistance!
Very rude & disrespectful! After receiving an alert that the driver was on the way, I called their business number to verify ETA. I didn't get the name of the person who answered. I explained to him that I wasn't with the vehicle but I would have my son meet the driver. He told me that he needs an exact address. I explained to him again that the car was in an empty lot and there is no exact address but I could give him the address across the street. He told me he has been doing business numerous years and his driver can't assist me if I don't send him my exact location. I informed him that I don't have an iPhone to drop my exact location and if I did it wouldn't be beneficial because I'm not with my stranded vehicle. The guy hung up because I didn't have an exact location.
I called my insurance company and explained how rude this company was and they sent Magic City Towing. Magic City Towing called me because I didn't have an exact location listed. They LISTENED to why there was no exact location listed on the request and showed up within 20 minutes.
Aban Towing could learn a lot about customer service from Magic City Towing.
Unprofessional !!! DO NOT USE!! They don’t even deserve a 1 ⭐ . Long story short, I had a flat tire. My insurance is with GEICO. GEICO dispatched them to me. I was in an area I wasn’t familiar with. I waited an 1.5 hrs for the first towing person from ABAN. He picked up my car, and towed me and my car to the wrong location and left! GEICO couldn’t understand how they had the wrong location, so they had them send someone else. Another hour i had to wait. Then they wanted to charge me for the extra miles, when it was their fault I was taken to the wrong location from the start. GEICO told me to call ABAN so they could waive the fee for the extra miles. When I called the supervisor at ABAN to tell him I was brought to the wrong place, He had an accent and had a hard time understanding what I was trying to tell him and he got frustrated. He was very rude and unprofessional. He started raising his voice and yelling , so I hung up on him because I was already frustrated enough! The second person from ABAN that was dispatched to me, was on the phone with the same supervisor when he arrived. And the supervisor told him not to pick me up or tow my car to the right location all because I told him I was gonna file a complaint ! He wouldn’t even been able to take me and my car to the right location anyways because he had a woman in the passenger seat with pajamas on, when it was a 2 seater truck ! I was on the phone with a friend & was telling her that I was stressed tf out , and the towing person said he wasn’t home tolerant that language! I wasn’t even talking to him, I was on the phone talkin to a friend , venting !! He told the woman in the passenger seat to close and door and they tried to speed off in the tow truck, & almost hit another pedestrian. There were multiple witnesses that saw it and went up to the pedestrian to make sure she was okay, and he still sped off. The supervisor of ABAN called back 30 min later trying to talk nice but I told him I didn’t want to talk because they left me stranded and they were very rude and disrespectful !!! He only tried to talk nice to me because he knew he was wrong ! After I told him that he was wrong for even leaving me stranded he hung up the phone in my face !! GEICO even said this company’s behavior was unacceptable. They had to send a THIRD person to come get me from a different company which was another hour !! Please do not use this company! They are unprofessional and need to be out of business the way they treat people. I spent 3.5 hours dealing with this HORRIBLE company ! 3.5 hrs of a complete waste of time ! It caused me so much inconvenience and stress ! NEVER AGAIN !!!
I had a great experience with these guys. Dropped my vehicle at a local Hoover dealership that couldn’t find it and they actually took time to go back and identify the location for the dealership. My son broke down on the side of I-459 and unfortunately pulled to the LH side instead of the right, they were very accommodating with no complaints.

Was then told that I would need a different tow truck and that it would be automated and I will get an updated ETA.
That was a lie. I then called and spoke to a very rude individual that lack customer service and just basic human decency. I asked what type of tow I need so I can let GEICO know which one needs to be requested. Individual cursed at me and hung up after explaining the issue and the lie I was told. I am very upset and this towing company is useless as the ocean without any water.
Not sure whats up with the level of reviews, but i had Ryan come and pick up my company rental car and he was AWESOME. give this man a raise, company in general was fast, prompt, and sent a cool worker. If i was from the area, id call yall any time i needed to. Good stuff. THANK YOU!!!
If zero stars was an option that’s what it would be. Ray cussed at us before hanging up in my face not once but several times. They cancelled the tow I’m the middle of the night. And laughed in my face the next morning. These guys should even be in business and I’m definitely filing a complaint with the BBB.
Had a great experience with driver and tower Duane Adam's. He delivered great service and was very professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and skilled! From towing the vehicle and communicating with the representative while at the dealership he was great. He is a kind hearted guy who made a bad day not so bad.
I used Aban Towing on yesterday. The service I received from Chris was Amazing. It was my first time and i was skeptical about having to ride from McCalla, Al to Selma, Al with a complete stranger. When Chris arrived and I took one look at him, I knew I was gonna be ok. His spirit and energy was so warming to me. He greeted me with a smile. The ride was about a 1hr and 20mins and we had life changing conversations the whole way home. If I ever need the service again, I want Chris to pick me up again and again. Chris I wish you nothing but Blessings in your Life. Thank you for taking care of me and my vehicle.
These people are scam artist that are not insured! One of the tow drivers hit my car while moving over for a fire truck! He left after I told him the cops would be called and once I filed a claim with insurance I was told that they were not insured! Also not registered with BBB or registered as a business in GA or Alabama! The owner was rude and threatened me with “harassment” after MY CAR WAS HIT!!!
Though Aban was sent as part of my roadside service request, I'm glad they were there.
Their driver, Kal, was prompt, professional, and communicative; throughout the dispatch I knew the status of my request. Upon his arrival, he immediately got to work loading my vehicle and confirmed the location of delivery for repairs.
While loading my vehicle, I must compliment Aban's vehicle and maintenance as nobody around us realized a diesel, rollback truck was actively moving a vehicle as the engine, exhaust, and bed operations were properly silenced. Further, there were no oil/transmission/hydraulic fluid stains left behind which is a Testament to their company and is more than can be said for a direct competitor I used for another issue months before.

Called for an Emergency Service Request - tow for a flat tire to my home.The dispatch was super helpful in figuring out where I was (side of the highway) when my insurance gave them the wrong address & the driver got to me in 30 minutes. He was super nice and very funny. Definitely helped me take my mind off being stuck on the side of the road at 1 AM after a long day at work. Fast, efficient, and great customer service.
I would give zero stars if I could. Battery needed a jump. This company said they would not come to a parking deck. Ground floor of parking deck as soon as you enter. Stuck at the hospital parking deck with a disabled child. The company canceled the request to come. Tried calling the company several times. Left messages. No one would call me back. Not interested in jumping someone off on a Sunday night trying to leaving the hospital in the cold. Another issue was because this company canceled Geico's request for service, I could no longer request help on the app. I tried to call. Held for over 1.5 hours and no one ever picked up (Geico issue). A jump box is supposed to be a standard with towing companies. Took hours to find anyone to help. Shame on this company.
Poor service and unprofessional. There was an apparent miscommunication between this tow company and my insurance on how to extract my vehicle. They looker at my car, which was in an embankment, and said they didn't have the equipment. Instead of waiting or calling to work through it, the drivers abandoned me on the side of the highway without saying anything. They were also talking about how they should be paid more instead of how to safely extract my car. I called another company and they resolved the issue with similar equipment. The drivers are unprofessional and only interested in getting paid
This was by far the best experience with a towing service I’ve ever had. Bill Douglas was amazing. He was in constant communication while we waited for him to arrive. He arrived in a timely manner and knew exactly what he was doing when he got there. Unfortunately I found myself needing this service for my daughter, a new driver who hydroplaned and ended up stuck between a tree and the curb. He was so kind when he arrived. Even once he got her free she had something dragging from her car. He noticed it and followed her until she pulled over and removed it. He also checked on her later that evening. It felt like we were truly handled with care. Thank you so much!
