Had a AAA tow truck driver recommend them when they had a Glencoe location. I had my car (1973 classic with less the 50k miles) dropped off with them and met the owner the next day to go over what I felt needed to be done (radiator, belts, hoses, tune up etc). It was garage kept and had not been driven in 20 yrs but still . Also had a bolt broke off in the exhaust manifold. They broke off more bolts taking off exhaust manifold, so we decided to take the heads off and let the machinist take out bolts and fix them. That took a while (not their fault) and held up progress. While removing radiator they broke one of the transmission lines also. After getting heads back they closed Glencoe location, and nothing was done. Moved the car to Leesburg and had further problems. Got a good Radiator from local vender and they reassembled but kept having more problems. I finally went and got it after several months. It was not running and took to another local mechanic. He got it running after he got wires correct put noticed that they had reused the intake manifold gasket, he took off valve cover, and a rocker arm was laying on head unattached, missing bracket for alternator, pointed out they broke another bolt off reattaching the exhaust manifold gasket etc. I am finally getting close to getting it running correctly after having what was wrong originally and what they messed up fixed by someone else. Stay Away!

I was stranded on the side of the road and before he knew he was dispatched to come tow my car, the young guy stopped to see if I needed help. Thank you so much! You are awesome!!

Worst excuse of a towing company. They lie, try to auction your car without permission, and try to lie to your insurance company to up charge you!!

I'm not really sure on the very nice young man's name that was truly a lifesaver this evening. I want to recognize him and give him a huge shoutout and thank you for everything that he did to help both me and my Uncle. You were so awesome. His patience was unparallel which is very rare in today's world. I was broke down on the side of the road on County Road 51 in Collinsville, AL. My passenger side wheel baring caught on fire ?. This guy refused to give up which really made this such an outstanding experience for both me and my family member whom were traveling back home to Fort Payne, AL from a relatives memorial service down in Selma, AL. Again, thank you for being such a trooper and for getting my truck safely off the side of the road, towed, and dropped at the tire shop.

Horrible business!!!! Was plainly told vehicle was to be delivered at final destination by 3 … NEVER HAPPENED!!!!!! Yet they dropped it off and left keys in it .. this was a location that’s not allowed to have vehicles outside …. They refused to answer my calls after my complaint…

I broke down an hour away from my home. I was really upset and summit towing not only helped me get back on the road but they were super friendly and professional. They made sure I was 100% ok before leaving.

Worst service ever, they lie, loose keys, and apply for titles even if you keep them updated about coming to get a vehicle. For 6 days it was supposed to be 675.00 and they charged 250 for an admin fee which was basically applied for a title even though my daughter in law called all week keeping them updated about coming to get the vehicle. Worst customer service I've ever seen and price gouching!! You took 250 out of my daughter n laws mouth and my grandsons. Hope your proud of your self seeing they have no income!!!

Beyond thankful for John and his team. I would recommend their services to everyone and will definitely be back if I have future issues!

Caden (sorry if that's not how you spell his name) towed us from the rest stop where we coasted in broke down to the dealership. He was very professional and arrived in about 20 minutes.

They had my son’s car for almost 3 months and never fixed it. Mercedes has free towing for their vehicles, so they used Summit Towing to come get the car. Once they arrived, they said they fixed Mercedes vehicles and they were cheaper than the dealership. So, we let them take it. We were told the “ECU was bad from the radio being installed wrong”. He said they needed $580 because they were sent the wrong part. Now, if you have ever ordered a wrong part ,most of the time, you send the wrong part back and they in turn send you the correct part. First, we were told they got the correct part and that it had come in, but they couldn’t program it correctly so the car kept going into limp mode. He also said that they might have to “call someone else in to program it if they couldn’t get it to program”. The next thing they told was, “they got the wrong part and the part they received was for a diesel engine”. This went on for months, until I finally went over to the shop and told him to just tow the car to Chattanooga to the Mercedes dealership. The foreman at the shop said they had people quit on them. He then tells me the $580 charge was for connecting the radio up correctly because it wasn’t done right and that’s what burned the ECU up. I guess they had to make up something to justify the $580 charge. The owner, John, has dodged our calls for days now. I would never recommend doing business with these guys. Making up excuses and lying to customers for almost 3 months and them doing nothing but letting your car sit there is no way to do business. I’ve also let Mercedes know what led us to take the car to Summit Towing.

I'm a 54 yr old disabled woman, I was told by someone about used cars for sale at Summit Towing. I'm on a small fixed income ,needing a reliable used car desperately.Owner n I had spoke several times over past 3 months about me buying a car from them. So last month a friend from back home in California surprised me & sent 1050.00 $ by money order directly to Summit Towing.Make a long story short, he was already at the bank , deposited the money order, I told him many times I want a 3500$ car,& can afford 250$ monthly payments.He had a car for me there alright, I saw no other cars at all, didn't geta choice, test drove it down to gas station next door not much of a test drive, but driving it home to Gadsden I definitely knew it had transmission problems, they argued with me that it doesn't. It won't start after putting gas in it , yes transmission is going out on it. Bottom line he charged me 350$ monthly payments, & had to get full coverage insurance to, that's another 200 gone. I tried telling him, I changed my mind about the car from beginning. He set me up for failure from the gate, he also said all the cars he sells have low mileage, this one has 245, 689 or close. So went to go somewhere tonight, they repossessed it already, payment was due yesterday, had the car barely a month, I'm out my Birthday money , and car less. Now suddenly seeing ads on Google bout great 4500 $ car out the door , I'm glad they came it, not glad they took advantage of me. Not good business , I feel like prey. My intelligence insulted , that's wrong, and he wanted over 6,000 & for it. So if u go buy a car from there, don't buy the pretty blue Hyundai Elantra, transmission is going out on it. Blue book on it is no where near that. I don't recommend Summit Towing to anyone. They treated me like a fool, and I don't appreciate Wheel bearing going out in back end also. I feel violated, and insulted, have been ever since I got the car, losing sleep over being treated like a dolt, hurt over it actually. That company isn't hurting for money or business, they have plenty, some of it made off suckers like me,how can they look at themselves in the mirror I don't know. But I AM SOMEONE'S MOTHER & SOMEONE'S SISTER DAUGHTER & FRIEND, I DO MATTER,GOD DONT LIKE THAT KIND OF UGLY. Hope they lose sleep sometime when their intelligence is insulted.

Had to use Summit tonight to get towed almost 60 miles home. Brian was helpful, friendly, and kept great conversation going for the entire trip. Great service at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

My car needed a new radiator, and I was quoted a price over the phone. I agreed to that price for parts and labor. After the work was completed, I was notified there was an extra $140 charge for something about my AC and the freon that had to be done to replace the radiator. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was informed there was an extra 4% charge to use a credit card. If I had known beforehand, I would have brought cash or check. I live 30 minutes away, and they were closing up for the day. I do not have a problem paying for services rendered, but I would like to be informed up front. I have no issues with the work that was done, and it was done in a timely manner. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ EDITED TO ADD: The total price with Summit was still $256 less than the dealership quote. Adding one star ⭐️

They came out because I locked my keys in my car. It wasn’t until after he got the door open that I revealed the key was in the trunk and the button inside the car wouldn’t work. The rear seat release was in the trunk so I thought I was screwed. The driver refused to give up and said he would get me in my car. After watching a YouTube video he found a work around, put everything back together and made sure everything worked right before he left. I will definitely use them again and will be sending customers their way.

I want to say THANK YOU to John…..THANK YOU sir! I travel for work and was just recently in Fort Payne, AL. Unfortunately my car broke down on me. Turns out one of the fuel injectors came loose. I used my road side assistance for the towing. They assigned Summit Towing LLC. I can not express the gratitude and thankfulness I have for this company. They were very polite, professional, caring, and genuine with communicating with me from the time the picked my car up, to the time the work was completed, as well as pictures from start to finish of what was going on. I was so worried, stressed, and frustrated with this happening while out of town far from home. They are an OUTSTANDING small community business that cares about people, regardless if you are from Leesburg,AL or not. If you are ever in need of a tow or work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend them if you are in the area or surrounding areas.

John is hands down THEE BEST there is! He was very accommodating and helpful in my time of distress. He was professional,kind and caring through the entire process. They had our truck for months after spending $700 in labor plus us spending out-of-pocket for part after part They take it to both of there location and said they had a special mechanic to look at it still our truck was never fixed plus want us to pay $225 more with their discount to tow our still not running truck 2 miles up the road we had to pay another wrecker and mechanic to come pick up truck up from summit to take it to fix it!! I wouldn't let them work on anything DONT USE THEM YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!

OMG!!! I cannot say enough good things about the customer service, staff, and quality of work. My family was traveling through Alabama from Maryland to Louisiana for my wedding when my Jeep broke down. We learned through my insurance company that we would be delayed for 2 day. The Summit was originally only supposed to tow my vehicle but when learned our situation (even though they were about to close up shop) they came our rescue! Not only did the secure the needed parts but the mechanic got us in and back out on the road as quick as possible! As part of the installation, they test drove my Jeep to ensure all the kinks were worked out so that we were confident in completing our journey. Although I’m not happy about the way that I met them, I am eternally grateful that I did! John, Aaron, & Chris (can’t forget Diesel) were my heroes for the day. Thank you again!

I waited all day for my insurance to complete my roadside assistance on what I was pretty sure was a bad wheel bearing and hub. Finally called Summit Towing and they were there in less than 15 minutes. They actually cared about me as a customer, asked what was wrong and then told me they could fix the problem at their shop and guaranteed to save me money. This is not the first time they have towed for me but this sealed the deal on my business for them. I had taken my vehicle three different places and they all kept telling me the same thing that I had bad tires. Not Summit…they listened and saved mine and my child’s life. The bearing was so bad we should have been in an accident. On top of that they gave me a really fair price which is rare because most mechanics see dollar signs when a female is involved. If you need a great tow company or mechanic please call them, you won’t be sorry you did. These guys are amazing and life savers in my book!

I called them regarding an engine swap on my Chevy Malibu and they were very quick to work with insurance and get the job done. Customer service was phenomenal and Jonathan, the mechanic who did my work, is very knowledgeable and helpful. They stand by their work and it's good honest work. Will recommend them always and use them when I can.

Great company to work with. We had a breakdown in a rental car and the driver was very helpful and patient with the entire situation excellent communication o. When the would arrive and everything coordinating with the Taki arrival so we weren't left without the vehicle. Thanks for everything!

Had problems getting my car looked at. Was so helpful towing my car from one dealership to another. They took care of everything since I'm a nurse and had to work. Very kind and helpful. The price was much better than I thought it would be. Will use again.

Our car broke down and our AAA ended up being useless. We called Summit Towing and spoke with the owner directly. He was very nice and gave us a reasonable wait time. He came and got us himself when his drivers weren’t gonna make it back to the shop in time to keep us in the estimated time frame. We will be using them from now on.

I called John (the owner) this morning to come and pull a Bob cat out of some deep mud. He showed up on time and John and his employee did a awesome job and got the job done timely manner they gave me a Excellent price and they were very professional and kind anyone else would have charged me double what they did I will gladly recommend these guys to anyone!!!

These guys are very professional and really came through for us on Christmas Eve of all days! My car broke down two and a half hours from my home. Thank goodness they were able to get us and my vehicle home safe! Would highly recommend!
