I went in to have a stripped bolt removed from the spare tire on my trailer and ended up paying $134. I waited there for about two and a half hours. When they finished, they had replaced it with a different bolt that requires two 3/4 wrenches to remove. I even asked if I could borrow the tools, but they wouldn’t lend them to me, even after what I had just paid. Honestly, next time I’d rather be stuck on the side of the road than go back to a place that charges that much and still doesn’t help.
I arrived at this TA Truck Service location with a request to diagnose vibration and check rear-axle wheel balance. The truck was immediately taken in, and I was told the work would be performed.
The technician assigned (Aiden) demonstrated lack of basic knowledge regarding tire-inflation system components installed on my truck. I had to remove the Hallo inflation system myself because I was concerned it would be damaged, which has already happened to me at other TA service locations before.
Instead of checking wheel balance, the technician removed wheels, then began disassembling brake components and rotating the axle and checking oil — work I did not request. When I asked why, he replied: “I am doing my job,” and pointed to the work order that simply said “rear axle – tires.” I again stated clearly that I needed a wheel balance check.
Only then I was informed that their balancing machine “is not working.” At this point, 40 minutes of my time had already been wasted.
I told them to reassemble everything properly. During reassembly the technician attempted to reinstall the Hallo tire-inflation system incorrectly, threw the component on the ground, and caused damage. He then incorrectly mounted the dual wheels (valve positions not at 180 degrees), and I had to point this out and insist it be corrected.
When I attempted to verify quality of work, I was told to leave the service bay and was verbally pushed out, despite my equipment being mishandled.
No service that I requested was performed. I lost approximately 40 minutes, nearly had damage to critical equipment, and received extremely unprofessional treatment. My concern is: why was my truck taken into service if they already knew their balancing equipment was out of order?
I request a formal review, internal corrective action, and compensation for damage to the Hallo inflation component.
Stoped for a PM, and steer tire. When PM done I see my engine light is on. Low fuel pressure, I have had this truck for 6 years never had any of this issues. If you do the job correctly tue engine light will not come on. However I asked the tech to clear the code since I had no code before tue oil change he said it will be 180$ seriously your knowledge did that you didn’t do something right.
Im sitting here waiting for my Steer to be replaced, if you your Technician missed up something I will call corporate and have you guys not only fix my truck. Your technician ask for extra Money to hookup the computer for something he triggered, thats not fair. TA Needs to be careful with this rude behavior employees.
I have been so disappointed by thr TA shop for not having the adequacy oil that prefer. I absolutely will not use the Castrol or Delo. I will burn at least a gallon of oil between pm services if id do. And that just tells me that it's not doun the job that Delvac does. I never have to add oil when I use delvac
Subject: Complaint Regarding Shower Policy at Travel Center of America
Dear Travel Center of America Team,
I recently stopped at your location for a shower and encountered an issue. The staff, an older lady with blonde hair, requested my ID for the shower reward card, which was with my co-driver. Despite explaining the situation, she refused to provide me with a shower due to a new policy, displaying rude behavior.
As a frequent visitor to your location (having stopped here 3 weeks ago to refuel), I'm disappointed in the service. I may consider alternative stops in the future.
I hope you will look into this matter and improve customer service.
l ask the management to respond to the employees. I have been waiting for 4 hours. The garage technicians just walk around, smoke, and drink coffee. This is the worst place I have ever been to. You need to change the workers-they don't value their customers. I just don't have the nerves for this. The attitude is like co. I don't

I went their for air leakage in trailer and they told me its gonna take half an hour and they took more than 4 hours
The guys working there don’t listen and don’t care about drivers…
I would give them zero stars if it would be??

On October 26, the radiator failed. A replacement was needed. They didn't have a new radiator, but my friends quickly brought me from Salt Lake City. Kameron took over the replacement. He did the job efficiently and quickly. And all the guys who were at the service that day and knew about my problem were attentive and responsive. Thanks to them all very much. And especially to the professional Kameron.
Tooo slow way too slow waited whole night till morning just to know what was the issue and didn’t had enough time for me to stay and fix my truck don’t come here
Our technician Hayden was amazing! Very thorough and found a few problems we needed to deal with. He was very personable and helpful. More than I can say at most places we go to. We have to go elsewhere to get the problems fixed but got our PM taken care of anyway.
Just got some outstanding roadside and in-shop service from them after blowing a steer tire on the 80. Quick and friendly work. Hat's off to the mechanic.
I arrived at 10am, called first and found out if an auto electrician would be there, I have a problem in the trailer with the clearance lights, somewhere in the trailer there is a short circuit and the tractor protection is triggered, the power supply to the line is turned off. I waited for the call until 2:40 pm and stopped by the box. At 4pm the lights seemed to start working. I paid, drove east, after 10 miles the lights stopped working. I came back, they put me in a queue, I can’t go any further, it’s dark, they stole my daylight hours. Mess, why rework, correct your mistakes, the driver has to wait twice? What kind of bullying is this? The administrator said that this is TA policy.
Arrived at 7 pm, got to change the tire at 2 am. During this time, 4 trucks were serviced.
The man arrived 3 hours later than me, and they changed his tire faster than me. Employees, stoned. On another service I got a wheel in 15 minutes. This is a nightmare, the worst service.
I’ve got to say I had a wonderful experience with this shop on 2/2/23 they would not give up until they figured it out had a problem with my apu Jeremy the TSA and Kyle asst and not to forget Seth my Tech did a fine job ill not forget and would recommend stopping at this shop
Truck broke down. Had a great experience with the workers. Explained to Jeremy the problem. He was able to walk me through it. Tim the mechanic were able to diagnose the problem and fixed it. Didn’t take no longer then an hour. Very professional and very friendly.
Lazy mechanics not working at all. I came at 3 pm(12/18/2020) signed in for service. Lady at the desk said about 3 hours because 3 more trucks in front of me. I came after 4 hour when nobody called me. I saw one truck inside the shop, and didn't see any mechanic working. And guy at the desk said that 2 more trucks in front of me. I came after 2 hours and still nobody moving nor working. That guy at the desk giving promises, but no results. At the end he said "you can go elsewhere". Finest truck shop ever. Skip this shop not recommend
Truck towed in for blown radiator. Work done quickly considering the amount of work, Anthony did the job amazingly well .. even stayed past his shift to finish it. Extremely impressed and very satisfied. Great mechanic and great guy. Want to say thanks TA but actually thanks Anthony.. Guys like you make breakdowns a little less unpleasant.
5 hours for an oil change, 3 hours waiting in line and then 2 hours in front of bay.
If you have at least 6 hours to lose at this shop no problem, it is the right place.
Being prepared to deal with simple issues on a semi like a wiper blade not cleaning the window is always preventive medicine that saves a few bucks, but when you are not prepared, TA shops have you covered at a fair price! I know. I did not prepare, but TA took care of my issue!
Keith was really awesome and did a great job with check out the truck and making sure everything was good to go...made my stop worth the wild. Now stress free and ready to roll again.
They do decent work, but I had to wait almost a whole day to get something that should of taken no more than an 30 minutes to fix. Then, I was lied to about a few things.
