Recently had dinner here and it was the best! Crab legs were HUGE, delicious and are worth every penny! The blue cheese is REAL homemade blue cheese, which I love, so if you like the fake stuff probably order ranch. But most of all Danny was our server/owner and he is one of the nicest, coolest, most down to earth person God has put on this planet! Not only is this restaurant a historical, well preserved part of Wyoming, it is a place I would 10/10 recommend! Danny and the crew are rocking it!

Steaks were horrible tonight! They said the cook was grouchy! The steaks are usually delicious, but not tonight! Felt like I was chewing on rubber!! For the price we paid it should have been outstanding but it was a big disappointment!! ?

The man in the turtle neck: This had to be the most foul dining experience I’ve had in recent years. Gordon Ramsey couldn’t save this place. Was traveling for work and figured I’d stop in for dinner. There was a total of maybe 7 people in the restaurant and it took over an hour to get my steak. The food looked like it was close to expiring to start out with vegetable platter. The celery was brown, the banana peppers were cut in half? Kinda weird….. then they brought out the sarma and “the ravioli”. Just one ravioli and sarma and the pork was dry and gave me the hiccups. After that I was given a salad with blue cheese that tasted like it expired several months ago. I took one bite and just passed it to the side to be picked up. To close out I finally got my filet order and this was where I just gave up on the dinner. It was undercooked and then wrapped in uncooked bacon. When I cut into the steak they shoved skewers through the entire steak to keep the bacon in the steak. I ate about a quarter of it before deciding I didn’t want to risk food poisoning. Also the French fries tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil. After sitting for 10 minutes I finally wanted to cash out and had to get up to go to the bar to ask if I could pay my bill. Also, the smell of the restaurant is unbearable and that should have been the first time to get up and leave. I couldn’t figure out if it was mold, cabbage, or both. $70 well wasted.

Steak was tough. Very disappointing as we drove a long ways to try it. Very expensive to give to dogs, but that is where it went, because i couldn't eat it. Brown rice- plain ole brown rice out of box or bag, no seasoning whatsoever. Was a rip off and we made a 2 night trip to that part of Wyoming to try this place. Not impressed at all.

First time going to Svilar's. Hear so many different things about the place. Well I had prime rib rare. It wasn't rare but still edible. My friends had filets steaks and they looked amazing. They also have ravioli and Sarma. Truthfully I wasnt a fan of either one. Service was amazing staff was amazing. The owner came out and well hes a riot himself. I cant say if would have the prime rib again but I will go back and have a steak.

Food was good, service was lacking. Basically not enough staff for the crowd they had. Two hours from being seated to receiving our meal. Got the impression there may have been only one cook that night. We were not the only ones waiting. At least, one table got tired and left.

Our experience was good. The staff were nice. My only problem with our evening was after dinner. Our group split the cost 1 person paid ticket and another left the TIP. Waitor received a $100 cash tip in his hands. After the ticket payer left Svilars and made it home looked closer at ticket and noticed the "Automatic Service Fee" of $68. I take blame for not catching this on our ticket before I paid, but I want to make sure that other people know that they are being charged for a tip already on their ticket and that apparently a tip is not earned and a choice of the customer anymore at Svilars but an "Automatic Service Fee". Thank you

Restaurant had an awful stench throughout. No soap in either bathroom; so where does the staff wash their hands gross. Plus they handle your food. GROSS My baked potato was rotten inside when I cracked it open--although it was replaced. My almost $50 ribeye was tougher than leather. And the carpet WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. Our waitress was excellent and attentive, and helpful. I would not waste my money in this establishment given the cost and grossness. REPLY TO REPLY: Bought two ribeyes, didn't split anything, paid cash, it was near closing by the time my son cut up my ribeye and commented how insanely tough it was as we put it in to-go container, THE STAFF SHOULD BE STOCKING EVERYTHING DAILY INCUDING SOAP NOT BEING TOLD BY CUSTOMERS, your filthy carpet can be vacuumed till the cows come home but if isn't replaced or at least shampooed ITS FILTHY. Furthermore, yall clearly have no idea who I am since again WE BUY MEALS NOT SPLIT ONE PIECE OF MEAT. UP YOUR GAME AND DON'T BLAME MY OBSERVATIONS.

Svilar’s had some highs and lows. The steak and onion rings were great — definitely the highlight — but the appetizers weren’t very impressive. The service stood out the most: slow and a bit awkward, with a long wait before my server ever came by. Overall, good steak, but not an experience I’d call five-star.

Great Steak House in almost middle of nowhere. Service was great but my Prime Rib was a but over done. Atmosphere is somewhat "worn" , sixty-ish but that is part of it's charm. Would go back again.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I like to look for steak places, especially when in beef country, and bonus for a salad bar. Svilar's was a greta option for steak. I had a HUGE cut of prime rib and my wife was able to order the senior cut, smaller =). Emma our server had worked there 5 years and was incredible. She knew the choices by memory. She was quick to act on my gulten allergy when I mentioned it. Her and the team of servers kept the hot food coming and table clear. She was amazing - This is a place that is worth a detour if you are in the area. Great food, good quanities, good prices and really great service.

Absolute must stop, been driving by here for years and you would never guess the food quality or service that exists here. Had a filet and lobster tail, was good perfectly and the service was excellent. Truly feels like stepping back in time in a great way!

For a tiny town on a lonely Wyoming highway, this restaurant serves a mighty big steak. I ordered the t-bone and had to split it with my daughter. And we still had some to take home with us. It was juicy and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the appetizers to the meal that comes from the founder’s original recipe collection. The atmosphere fits the history of the area and the restaurant. So come ready to fill up with some good home cooking and be ready to relax.

Great find near Lander! Loved the old timey vibe of the decor and overall ambiance of this restaurant. Dinner was absolutely delicious; from the Relish plate to the cabbage rolls (with the sauce from the raviolis). The salad was a little underwhelming (chopped ice berg lettuce with sparse shredded carrots and purple cabbage slaw) but the blue cheese dressing made up for that! Steak and prime rib were very generous portions, and the fried chicken was good and juicy. Loved that there was cool air blowing from under the table as it was in the 80’s outside. Will definitely have to come back when in the area!

This place is right out of the 1970s steak was cooked to perfection, ravioli was good with excellent sauce, cabbage roll top notch. The sizzling plate was a very lost sound we don't hear anymore. Definitely going back.

The last thing I expected in the middle of Wyoming on a Thursday night was the BEST steak and lobster I have ever had. Thank you Svilar’s for the best lobster tail and fabulous entire meal.

What a cute place in a little town! The prime rib that my husband had was huge and it was like butter! I am not a big beef eater but I wished I ordered prime rib! The stuffed cabbage with meat sauce was amazing! Hubby cleaned his plate! My chicken strips were tender and good flavor and onion rings were perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit here again!

I stopped coming here for a few years because they had a manager that was running the place into the ground and treating long time customers like ?️ I recently found out that manager was let go because of this issue. I came back and Danny treated me like family along with the great service from the staff that I know and love, their already great food seemed to taste better then I remember. Svilar's is a local legend in the restaurant segment and I'm glad the house is back in order! I will be returning more frequent. Thank you! ?

The steaks were huge and perfectly cooked (to two different preferences, each exact). The cocktails were perfect, and the cabbage rolls (which come included with any steak dinner) were so nice I'd recommend the place on those alone. It's a lovely setting with very gracious staff. There is plenty of parking too!

There is a variety of great food. One of my favorite appetizers are the raviolis. I love the environment in the restaurant that has kept the history noted on the walls and original furniture. I love seeing generations of family still giving great service to customers. I hope the family continues to keep this great restaurant open. There are many memories for me bringing my family to this great place!

We stopped here on vacation because my dad remembered it from decades ago. It is still family owned. Food was delicious, people were friendly.

My wife and I went with our daughter and son in law for steaks last night. Amazing food and terrific service. The filet was probably the best we have ever had! This is one of those meals I will continue to dream about for years and years!

Amazing steaks and amazing history! One of if not the oldest steakhouse in Wyoming. Very highly suggest Svilars'!

We have spent the last couple weeks roaming around Wyoming. Trying to find good steak or ribs. We found it at your establishment. Great food and wonderful service. If you go make sure that you are hungry.

Steak was big but bland and dry. Bleu cheese dressing was the highlight of the meal. Might go back just for that! It's always weird getting a can of soda at a restaurant. Baked potato was good.

The food is great and the portions are amazing, if you are a blue cheese lover then this is the place for you. The meals include a salad, a homemade ravioli, a sarma (beef cabbage roll), a dinner roll, and finally your steak and side. The food is always good and filling however the steaks always range in doneness depending on who is cooking. I usually order just under what I would prefer seeing as it usually is over cooked. Additionally some steaks can be very under seasoned. But in the end it is a great restaurant for the area with classic decor and very reasonable food.

Huge, perfectly cooked T-bone steaks! Veggie plate, sarma and ravioli are a nice appetizer, and the cheesecake is delicious!
