I called and emailed over the specs I needed for my alignment and specifically asked if they could do what I needed to be done and double checked before they worked on my vehicle, Jake agreed and said he could do those specs no problem,
Then of course I get my truck back and they are no where near the specs I needed despite him confirming with me that he could,
I start driving and my car pulls like crazy to the left I call and Jake makes up some dumb excuse and then says that it was pulling for me because no road is perfectly straight and then immediatly after that he says but the road he tested it on IS perfectly straight and that the truck didn't pull for him. How can you say no road is perfectly straight and then immediatly after say that the road he tested it on IS perfectly straight.
I didn't bring it back for them to fix their mistake I just brought it elsewhere to someone who got it to the specs I needed without giving me false info about what they could or couldn’t do
We rented a uhaul trailer and after it was loaded we noticed the trailer hitch ball was not secure as the nut was loose. Thankfully we were near silver lake Auto and we drove up and asked them if they could help us. Aaron Aaron came out with the biggest wrench I've ever seen . I was going to take a picture of him holding it but I got caught up in what was going on. He tightened it and secured our trailer. I said Aaron, I think you might have just saved our lives and he said that's my job!. I don't live near Silver Lake Auto, but if I did, I would go there for all my auto repair needs. Aaron he was so gracious and he didn't charge me a penny. Now that's customer service at its best.
Went for emissions testing and purchased new wiper blades, was in and out in 5 minutes. Adam even ran out and installed the new blades for me! Excellent Customer Service 10 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They have a new customer for life here 👍👍👍

The service was great. Rob squeezed me in not only once it twice. I had to cancel the first time because my child was sick. The heat sheld from under my car was hanging down. It needed to be clipped back in place. In and out in about 15 minutes. But not only that didn’t even charge me. What? That is absolutely unheard of. Must have know it had been a rough last couple of days, it really made my day, heck my week. Definitely going back.
Stopped in for an emissions test. They got me right in checked the car, had me back on the road within 15 minutes. Top notch, usually at other places it's a wait. Not here quick and done.
They were not honest with me kept asking me how much I could pay to have my car repaired first it was $582 then asking me how much I can afford then they couldn't even tell me the year of the car that they pulled the used car part off that they said they had for my car for me !!! Dishonest not trustworthy I wouldn't take any cars to this mechanic..... Then threatened me with 152 bill for an hour of they said diagnostic when it was 10 minutes to diagnose diagnose my car and the mechanic or the tow truck driver that towed it there had done it in 10 minutes and it was exactly and I told his shop exactly what was going on so it was not an hour of Labor !! 120 to diagnose my car and then 25.00 to pull a little nail out of my tire highway robbery as it's finest
A dream to work with from the initial phone call requesting diagnosis of an issue until I picked up the vehicle after it had been repaired. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and they do great work. I will recommend silver lake auto service to everyone I know.

Long time customer, moved out to Oconomowoc. Every chance i get I’ll drive the 60 miles to have Harm and his crew look at it. Reasonably priced, done right the first time. They keep their eyes open for issues that may cause future problems. If repairs are imminent, the bad news will be delivered with a quote, and a time frame for completion. If repairs can wait, you’ll get an estimated time for breakdown. I suggest you start saving for the repair because Harm has never been wrong with my vehicles. You’ll never be pressured into making a repair. Everybody wants a mechanic they can trust, this is that team. Thanks for the many years of service Harm…lifetime customer.
Silver Lake Auto Service and the team always do great work. It is my first choice for anything auto. This time it was a hitch installed and it looks great. I plan on keeping this car another 8 years.
Silver Lake Auto was referred to me by a friend for tow truck service to the dealership for my son's car. The guys were nice and professional. If you need a tow or service I would recommend giving them a call first!

Had to tap start my car a few times this past week during the cold. Took my Jeep in under the premise that I would need my starter replaced but Harm checked it out and determined it was only a bad connection, cleaned the corrosion and reconnected the terminals saving me a few hundred dollars. Always very honest and extremely helpful. I am beyond thankful we are lucky enough to have a knowledgeable and honest local mechanic

I have used Silver Lake Auto for 30plus years! Since i was 16. Harm Garwood has always been understanding to my needs, especially financially! As a broke teen to a laid off carpenter! He always calls with the total bill before he does the work, giving the option of what may be priority and what can wait, to fit my budget. I have asked to see old parts to make sure they were replaced because i had gotten scammed by other places, and he has dug in the garbage to show me my old parts. In a world of scam auto mechanic's, Harm and silver lake auto can always be trusted, and i have no need for second opinions. BE AWARE! After we received a $419.25 towing bill, we were informed that the minimum charge for an after hours tow from Silver Lake Auto is $175.00 and they charge $50 per day storage.
I live locally in Silver Lake. Silver Lake Auto is always very honest, which means everything. Their prices are very reasonable. They are very efficient at getting your vehicle back to you. And to top it off they're very experienced. Even with diesels. I'm lucky to have this shop so close to home.
Friendly and fast service. Rescued me tonight. Flat tire 45 miles from home. Ty. However the tire repair failed and I have a flat tire once again. Doesn't hold air. But they did get me home

Harm and the men at Silver Lake Auto Service saved me. I am not from Wisc. and my brakes went out as well as getting an overheating light. I didn't even know where I was and stopped at a semi-truck repair service and the woman there recommended Silver Lake Auto, where she takes her cars.
