I've been coming here for at least a year now and have never had a bad interaction with Eric or Mark. You can tell they care about their customers and are always straightforward with any issues they see with my car and what they would do. I would highly recommend!
They're honest, trustworthy and reliable. We drive 10-plus miles one way because their service is so good. We can't find anyone as good in our current community.
I've been taking my cars to Village Auto for 20+ years. At times my husband tried to find a better deal for repairs and we've always come back because they take the best care of us. The value is in their honesty and integrity. Several times they've fixed things with no charge, or if I thought there was a problem and they didn't find something they haven't charged for the diagnostics. All around the best experience I've had in car repair.
Although I’ve never been a fan of mechanics or had much trust in them, I have had nothing but good and more importantly fair treatment from the gentleman at Village Auto. I have been there several times for both my truck but also my wife’s. They have never tried to push additional services and have been very honest with the diagnostic checks. The pricing is what you would expect at a service/repair shop. Village Auto is now my local go to for auto service and repair. Cheers fellas
I trust them with my Highlander. They're reasonable and honest. One time they did an assessment and felt that the requested service wasn't warranted. I offered to pay for their time, but they declined. Really nice!
Great experience. I have had repairs/oil changes with at least 8 other shops (not including this one) over the years - this is the best I have had so far. I came in for a routine oil change, and a repair was recommended. Though they usually book a week or so out, they thankfully had an opening the next day, which I took. I wasn't sure if I would leave my car that night or drop it off in the morning. They allowed me to leave that day, without paying for the oil change (trusting I would bring my car back the next day) and performed the repair the next day quickly and at a slightly lower cost than estimated. I would recommend this business.
I had my son’s car repaired by Eric and he did an amazing job. He explained everything that needed to be done with upfront prices and everything was done in a timely manner. Local dealership said my Kia Telluride needed new brakes, so I took it to Village Auto Repair, after looking it over, they said I would be good for another 15k miles. This is the honesty you look for in a mechanic! I highly recommend Village Auto Repair.

Overall, a great experience. They scheduled me within a week of my call and completed everything I needed and more in just one day! It was a reasonable price And I haven't had any issues since. I would recommend them.
Took my truck in to have the front differential replaced. Eric replaced a new/ used part at my request. He told me it would need to be rebuilt. My question was, if you're replacing the entire differential with a resourced part, what needs rebuilding? He gave me a run- around answer that made no sense so I asked him to just replace used. 1, 600.00 later my truck lasted 5000 miles and it blew up again. I took it back and on a " generous maybe" I asked that he try again. After sitting at his shop for 4 weeks he calls me and says " I must refuse to fix it with used parts. Being that the truck had been there a month I pressed to use it. He slapped it together and charged me 1000 more for a unfinished job. 100 miles later it blew up again. I called and he said it needs to be rebuilt new. For another 2300., mind you. Again I adked" what needs to be rebuilt? He said, quote " right now the cv axle slides in and out.i THINK it locks in somehow"!!. You think!? So, 2600 later and a broken truck " I think" I don't want Eric working on my vehicles. I took it to a different shop. They repaired it with used parts- correctly for 200 less than Eric's first attempt. The mechanic was confused " his words " as to what Eric had done.. I highly recommend not using village auto
Great service and knowledgeable team. Locally and operated and a staple of the community. Mark the owner and his business partner Eric run a clean and professional operation. Definitely would recommend for those who want great service at a fair price.
The staff is always friendly. Their service is fantastic. I've always been pleased with their work on my vehicles. I've brought my car in for a brake change, they spent their time looking at my brakes, determined they were still good and charged me nothing. Top notch!
Very friendly staff and excellent service. They got my car in on short notice when no one else could, diagnosed the issue, ordered the part, and repaired it all in one day. They saved my labor day weekend!

Village Auto is AMAZING. My dealership told me I needed front brakes done ASAP. Took it to village because of the trustworthy employees and service. Turns out they told me I DONT need brakes. I greatly value their honesty and integrity. 10/10 will always recommend village auto- Mark and Eric are the BEST.
I've been taking our family's cars here for years. Eric and Mark are honest guys who do quality work at a fair price and do NOT screw you over. And let's be honest, that's everybody's fear bringing your vehicle to a garage you're unfamiliar with. No worries about that at Village... the only place I'll take my cars, period.
Called Village auto on a Wednesday to have my car worked on. Owner Eric said he can work on it Friday and to have it towed in. Did that. When I got there he said it was too late in the day and they wouldn’t be able to look at it until Monday. It was 10am. They called Monday and said they needed a part and they wouldn’t get it until Thursday. No problem. Never called me to let me know. I called them Friday. Owner Eric said I don’t need to keep calling him and that he does have the part now, but he wont be able to work on it for another week. Keep in mind they now have my vehicle for 2 weeks, and he just told me it will be 3 weeks. All while telling me he can get it in on that original Friday. Well next week comes and again absolutely no calls from village auto or Eric letting me know what’s going on. I have to physically drive in to get in touch with someone. I talk with the other owner. Mark. Mark is great. Apologizes for Eric not calling me or telling me anything. Says Erick is out sick. Blames the lack of communication on his partner, and doesn’t take ownership for the business and his partner. Only downside to Mark. I’m the customer, you’re the owner. Take ownership. Don’t pass the blame to someone else on your team. Finally I need to have my car towed to another shop, 3 weeks later with absolutely nothing done to it. And they charged me $100 for the part. Advice to management: Mark: Eric was busy on the phone literally every single time I came in or called. He is rude. He shouldn’t be customer facing and should stick to working on cars. Or get rid of him. He’s holding you back. You were very good and understanding and I appreciate you. I would have been a great customer who would have spent a lot of money over the lifetime of bringing my vehicles to you. It’s just unfortunate for your small business. I’m sure it’s already tough enough.
Had a nail in a tire this morning. I immediately called Mark and Eric and they did not hesitate to let me drop the car off immediately and in a couple of hours it was all ready to go. Honest friendly business that goes out of their way to get you in and get your car ready to go again!
I went to Village auto repair with a long list of things I wanted/needed done. I was contacted regularly during the repair process to inform me on what had to be done and what could wait until next time along with pricing updates. The work was completed in a timely manner and I am very satisfied with the end result. The entire experience was professional and hassle free.
We took our Equinox in to get an engine replacement based on a recommendation. We have had nothing but issues with our car since 6+ months after it got replaced. We took it in 4-5 times to fix the issues (check engine light won't go off) and all they kept saying is "you just need to add oil". Our car finally died (the check engine light is blinking) and we took it to the dealer to get looked at. The throttle body failed and needs replacements, misfire issues, spark plugs are fried, fuel injectors are clogged, air filter is very dirty, oil is very dark. VERY upset about these issues and I'm not sure if they caused more of our issues by being negligent or not doing their job correctly. Many of these issues should have been caught while doing basic oil changes and we are not happy with our service!
We rely on Village Auto for all our car needs and questions, and have for over 10 years. Mark and Eric are down to earth, helpful and honest, and the quality and pricing cannot be beat. More businesses like theirs should exist.

After moving to Merton I was looking for a new local auto repair shop with mechanics I could trust and who would do a good job. In my experience a significant test is if they recommend a repair at the least cost that effectively fixes the problem. In other words they don't recommend a bigger more expensive repair if a smaller one will do. After two repairs I am confident that Village Auto Repair is that place.
Great 'home town' place. Very fair and reasonable. I never feel like I'm going to get ripped off, like at many other shops.
Their parking lot is always full, an indication that they do great work!
