They don't reply to voice mails or emails through their websites contact link and also do reply to requests through car-parts. But they list parts they have in inventory, just no way to get them.
Can confirm with other reviews, will sell parts out from under you. Had called up asking for a part I was told that was there and available I would get a call back. Had not heard anything so i had given a call back was told we never had that conversation and sold that part yesterday. Had also been told on different occasion they were not able to sell me a part as the vehicle was to far In the yard.
Sold me a starter that was 2 years old, not tested. Left a not so nice voicemail. Guy threatened me, and called me all sorts of choice names. Well test your products, before you try ripping people off. If not for people like me, he wouldn't have a business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!
Did not help me at all. Did not give me information that was need and had to PAY double for what I could have paid anywhere else. Lied and did not go through with what was agreed upon. Will never do business here again and will never recommend them to anyone.
I take all my random scrap metals here for recycling/money. Always been honest with me and quickly weighed me up and got me out the door, jn a good way. Also have gotten auto parts from them, and had zero issues and good used parts as well. I recommend everyone to them. Good business and good people.
Rude on the phone and in person. Offered me $120 for two catalytic converters when I questioned the very low offer I was told to take my stuff and leave and told "guys come in here everyday thinking they know more then me". Took both catalytic converters to Redmer & Sons Recycling in Burlington and got double what East Troy Auto Recyclers offered me.
I understand a business needs to make money but there's a difference between making money and taking advantage of people.
Been going there for a long time.. Over 20yrs... Matt and his staff get the job done.. When looking for used parts i call them first, when i have scrap to get rid of, i take it to them.
I took a load of scrap aluminum to them and got paid 10 cents a pound. I took a second load of the same material to a different scrap yard and got 35 cents a pound. I feel very cheated.
The team at East Troy Auto Recyclers are great. They have made special trips to take care of issues we need to get the job done. Thanks for your help folks.
I will never again go through these guys. Extremely incompetent snarky and rude receptionist and poorly ran business in general. I was quoted 300$ for my car which I gladly took considering the 2 other places I called offered 100 and 150$ I was told I would receive a call within a few hours to set up a pick up never got a call. I called a few days later to see what the issue was to be met on the phone by a snarky receptionist who told me that he could PROBABLY get it tomorrow since he was going to be in my area anyways and hung up. She never asked if that would work for me so I called back to see about setting up a time as I had things to do. Again she was very snarky about it. Set it up to be at 230. I was told I would get a call to make sure I was home and still available. Well it comes to be 240 the next day and still no one there and no phone call. So I called to see if they were going to be coming still or not. When I said who I was the receptionist cut me off "yeah the 97 buick skylark" so I told her it was past the time he was supposed to be there and I never received a call "well he will be there in 45 minutes" .......it was very inconvenient but it would have to do as I needed the car gone so I said ok. Well the guy eventually showed up... at 445....to say the least I was pissed off. Went outside the guy didn't apologize for the extreme inconvenience or anything in fact all he said was hey you got the title and keys and who should I make the check out to. So I told him my name and rushed back inside so I could take care of what I had to get done. It was only as I was on my way to the bank that I realized the check was only for 75$. I called again asking what the issue was here considering I was quoted 300$ I was that I the cost of steel has gone down in 2 years she would give the same amount for a dump truck....which weights much more than my car...and I'm FULLY aware the cost has gone down. Why would I go through the scrap yard that offered me 75 when there was others that offered me more? "You must have misheard me then ma'am because I know how to do my job and I definitely did not say that"
The woman I spoke with on the phone was very courteous and professional.
Offered me a replacement engine at a VERY competitive price and even delivered it to my business and picked up the core free of charge. Even the driver was professional and courteous.
Will definitely do business with again!
Billing was spot on and received core charge promptly.
Only complaint was the wiring harness on the engine was poorly removed (cut wires). But it's good practice to never re-use them anyway due to possible damage. So no points removed there!
I wish all salvage yards were this easy to do business with!
