I bought a fantastic 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited, but it had a soft top, so the dealer I bought from contacted Larry at Sharp Auto Parts on my behalf to find a used hard top for me, sharing it would take a week or so to get. Well, Larry at Sharp Auto found one within days of my request, and it was in great shape, sending photos to make sure the top was okay. I had a few questions to make sure I would be able to install it at their shop, and Larry promptly answered my emails, and sent photos for confirmation. Once I got to Sharp, another service person named Bob kindly gave me space in one of their heated garages, helped me lift the top on, and allowed me to take as much time as I needed to finish my installation, even kindly loaning me a drill. I can't speak highly enough about their friendly, prompt and helpful service! My only suggestion is figure out how to update your GPS location as my GPS kept trying to send me to your old location in the Stillwater area. :-)

EDIT: I'm removed a star down to 1 star. After getting home to install said part, its the wrong one. I was given a rear drive shaft not a front. So now I will be joining the other numerous comments and begin the frustrating process of getting them to take their damaged junk back. Avoid this place at all costs. Just buy new parts or new aftermarket these people will waste whatever time and money you think you're saving.
I really wanted this place to be good but it failed in every way. Part didn't ship for almost a week because one guy was out sick. I agree to come pick it up an hour from my house and when I arrive, the part is damaged in several areas. The only reason it gets 2 stars and not 1 is because of Eric in sales who did his best with what he could throughout this ordeal.Dec 13, 2025 -
Bought an engine from them, it turned out to not be the correct one for my car. Went in about 2-3 weeks later to return. I just explained that to the guy up front and he got it unloaded from my car and made the return very smooth and quick, no questions asked or attitude. Will def buy from them in the future.

Drove an hour 30 minutes for a part they told me was silver. Got up there, it was white, and they told me, “yeah, so we didn’t actually have a silver one.” Wasted my time and have to drive another hour and 30 minutes with nothing.

We repair over 200 vehicles a month, been using them for years. Last week bought an engine, when it came in, tech could not even rotate the engine with a breaker bar. The Engine number did not match the engine code and number of the reciept. We made a video, pictures and sent it to them, they took the engine and wont refund it the amount or better, just send another one, we still need one. They want to charge a 20% restocking, or telling us to install it and if its bad, they we replace it, and to cover labor, we need to be a a $519 labor warranty. How delusional do we have to be to install an engine that cant even be rotated with a huge breaker bar. Ben blocked the shops number, then we finally reached someone who said will contact us shortly, and nothing. Seems like that are running some sort of shady business with these siezed engines. Will be contacting Wisconsin DOT and dealer services to get the resolved. Huge run around, just waste of time and hassle when your running a shop. Stay away.

BEWARE!!We purchased a used vehicle from a dealership that had a used engine. 3K miles in the engine blows. Luckily it had a warranty through Sharp/Bay auto. The replacement engine had a bunch of broken parts in which Sharp states to keep the engine closed up which is fair however it took away from the total labor allowance of the warranty that in turn we ended up paying for. Warranties also do not include fluids or gaskets!!! So plan to spend hundreds extra for that. Tried for over a week to get on the phone with someone to question them about it. Literally had to make the operator track someone down to be at their desk to take my call. Very unprofessional. Asked how many miles were on the replacement and intially the rep said ill have to get that info for you...like what? Why wasnt it included on the paperwork?, also took over a week to get this info. SHADY SHADY SHADY. Not to mention the mechanic that replaced the replacement engine stated he already sees major flaws in the replacement and wont even allow us to drive outside of 30 miles of our location due to the poor quality of the replacement.

My husband and I bought a motor from them that got sent from their Greenbay location. Got the motor put in to find out the timing is probably off and if you know anything about Acadia motors doing a timing sucks ass so we just wanted to return it cuz what if it wasn’t even that. Come to find out it’s damn near impossible to return. He called three separate times, got directed to multiple different people during those calls, to get sent an insane list of requirements expected to be able to return it. Be weary when getting a Tranny or motor from this place and be knowledgeable about their return policy because it’s strict. They got us good that’s for sure. I wish someone would have warned us so I wanted to help and warn a few people.

I get parts from these guys all the time customer service is great, but getting the part takes a little while, I just find it rude when they tell you “you’ll get the part within 3-5 days ends up being 2 weeks…

Dennis has been nothing short of spectacular. I wish I could say the same for John and wouldn't mind his calls being reviewed.. Quick to be combative or argumentative, to the point I feel like its bothersome to him. I am glad to work with Dennis going forward and really do appreciate his clear, accurate and friendly communication on part information

Terrible customer service. I bought a tailgate and I specifically told them I needed a full assembly and they sent it with a cut wire harness. I called them back to try to fix the issue and Alex (sells guy) told me he would sent to pick it up and charge me a 20% restocking fee for something they messed up. I have an autobody shop and definitely never ordering parts from them again.

I recently purchased an auto part, but unfortunately, received the incorrect item. When I attempted to return it, I was charged a restocking fee. I would suggest shopping elsewhere to avoid a similar experience.

Horrible business practices. Ordered a part on Monday from their Green Bay location and was quoted it will arrive in Stillwater Wednesday morning. I drove there Wednesday morning and it was not there. I was told it's on its way and should be there Thursday. It didnt arrive until Friday. They accumulate orders during slow seasons and ship out when they have enough orders. Deceitful and untrustworthy. Go elsewhere!

I prefer Sharp Auto Parts over the rest of the yards. I like that they dismantle properly and dont just rip the stuff out as fast as possible. Once in awhile we might get something with harness thats cut or plastic intake thats cracked but for the most part that doesnt matter anyway because we have the one off the vehicle. Being we're a repair facility we are offered delivery and pickup so thats always nice. They are very easy to deal with if there is a warranty issue, extended parts and labor coverage is available for reasonable cost. A lot of yards offer that but getting them to honor it can be a pain, never had an issue with Sharp. Larry has been great over the years and will continue to use them long into the future.

I do business with sharp often, whether it's a used part or a reman. Larry is fantastic, usually call him directly. He's very easy to deal with, doesn't beat around the bush. Have interacted with a few others when he wasn't available and zero complaints here. Any issues with the item received (very rare) he takes care of it. There's a few yards closer to me but I'll take the drive or wait for a cleaner, properly dismantled, better quality part. The customer service he/they offer is worth it.

Dennis in sales has been great, with prompt responses, good knowledge of parts, and orders have been shipped to me within 24-48 hrs depending what time of day i order! Melanie in the office was very prompt in response with a small technicality with my acct as well! It is refreshing to see good customer service these days, in a world where that is diminishing. Also, I have read some of the poor reviews, and i can say, i have purchased multiple motors, transmissions, and body parts from Sharp with other sales people here, and service was great, and parts were always what they said they were, and have had no issues. These two just stood out in particular today...Thanks!

It's seemed like a big inconvenience to ask questions about parts. I recently filled out the online inquire form asking specific questions. No one from Sharp Auto ever responded to me. However, the day I emailed the price went higher then previously listed.
While the price was listed higher, the front door no longer has the morror attatched for a higher listing price.
They open at 8AM. No one answered the phone to take my call until after 1PM.The guy on the phone was very condescending and rude. His less than professional attitude was uncalled for.
With the hundreds of junk yards available I WOULDN'T SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!Mar 06, 2023 -
Ordered and paid over the phone a core support for my for fusion , they told me I would get everything as the core support goes (3 pieces ) they told me it should me ready in a couple hours when I go pick it up they didn’t even had it ready for me and told me it’s my fault for not calling in advance to make sure it’s ready , went a couple days later and called in advance and the guy confirmed me I’m getting the complete core support when I got there they only had one piece and said that’s all I get even tho the guy which works from home told me I would get the 3 pieces , they seem like they didn’t care and didn’t offer me a solution ….never going back there and whoever reads this don’t waste your time and money

I went to pickup a part, I spent few minutes here since I had ordered online. From my findings from the gentleman at the front desk. They rarely allow mechanics to pull there parts from their yard. Overall experience was good

Called to get a quote on a wheel, decided it was worth the price and the drive up. Get there and got a price of $10 less! Gentleman that helped me was courteous and helpful, too.
The wheel was in great condition, so I'll be able to have my good tire mounted and use it as a full size spare, instead of relying on the donut I have. (I hate those!)
If you need parts, I recommend checking them out - especially if other places don't have the part, like was my luck.Jan 18, 2022 -
Terrible costumer service. I'm not one to complain and this is actually the first negative review I have written. Ordered a part online- went to go pick it up and found out it was at their other location in WI. Even though it is listed clearly on the website there were 3 in stock at this location. Ok- so I tell them I would like the part shipped to my house- mistakes happen. NOPE. They say that I need to pay for the shipping even though I drove 30 miles each way and wasted an hour of my time. Steve (manager?) is who I was dealing with and was not sympathetic to the situation at all and acted like it was my fault they had the parts listed wrong on the website. Not even an apology was given the entire time. Don't waste your time like I did and trust a more reputable place.

Good place to get your used parts. Bought 2 doors which got shipped without the door hinges. Called them 2 weeks later when the shop was about to put up the doors and realised the doors didn't have the hinges. The hinges were dropped off at the the shop within 24 hours. Excellent customer service.
