I got stuck in my driveway during terrible road conditions and called for a tow, honestly not expecting anyone to make it out so quickly. Mike arrived incredibly fast despite the conditions and was friendly, calm, and patient from the moment he showed up. Mike did not hesitate to jump in and help shovel and work with me until my car was completely safely in the garage.
His professionalism, efficiency, and genuine willingness to help went above and beyond. Mike turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and I’m truly grateful. Excellent service all around, highly recommend!
It is said that Angels walk among us, and I can certainly say that this is absolutely true! Here's our story. My husband and I drive up to Hayward, a few times a year. On Sept, 22, 2025 we were pulling a 7400 lb camper. We had plans to stay the whole week at a nearby campground. On this particular day we were just outside the town of Earl when our engine and battery light came on, as I was pulling off the road I lost all power to the vehicle. We called a tow company and they quoted us $1200, for both truck and camper into Hayward. It was way over our budget, so we called a local mechanic shop in Hayward and they suggested A-1 Service. My husband called and spoke to Tony, told him what happened, he said he was about a 1/2 hour away. I was relieved when Tony showed up. Hwy 63 was extremely busy. He was right on time and was able to pull both the truck and camper to the auto shop, for a price within our budget. I thought this was the last time we'd see him. Nope. It was just the start. The auto shop was closing so we had to leave our truck. My nephew drove up and pulled our camper to the campground. The next day, we found out the alternator was replaced, we paid the bill, and we got our truck back. We thought everything was fine, until Wednesday came. We were driving towards Hayward and again, the engine, battery, and this time the whole dash lit up. We were stranded. We called Tony and he said he was on the way. Before Tony got to us we were able to start the truck and get it off the hwy.
Just then, Tony pulled up, checked the battery and it was at full charge. We weren't sure what was going on, so Tony said he would follow us to the auto shop, to see what was happening this time. We didn't even get half way and I was losing power again. On a busy 2 lane road, Tony quickly pulled ahead and hooked up the truck. He got us into town and had the auto shop pay for the tow. We very much appreciate him doing this for us. Once again, our vehicle was down and we were stranded. Tony said he'd be back with his personal vehicle and he'd take us back to the campground. About an hour later he showed up. On our way back, we talked about life and our families, he even stopped at the gas station so we could get milk and some groceries.
Is this guy for real? Yes, yes he is. His name is Anthony, but he goes by Tony. He's definitely one of God's Angels that walks among us! He is not only a professional at his job, but he goes above and beyond his call as a tow truck driver. My husband and I are eternally grateful for Tony and we pray that he be safe on those busy roads and he continues to do good works for those customers that cross his path.

I was broke down with a trailer connected. He came and fixed my vehicle and charged me nothing! He said pay it forward. One of the most awesome experiences of my life. I have him a great big hug haha.
Great towing company. Tony is very professional, knowledgeable, and all around a great guy. Even took time after dropping my truck off to give me (and my dog) a ride to the gas station while I waited for my ride back home. Amazing service!!!
A-1 got right out and helped me pull my car out of a culvert in the snow. They avoided causing any damage to the vehicle, and I was able to drive away on my own! I highly recommend their service and expertise.
Smoked a deer outside of hayward about 830pm on Friday, had to call for a tow. I'm really glad I called A-1, not only was Tony super nice, but actually reccomended a different company that suited my needs better. Other company didnt work out, so I called Tony back and he was at my location in under 30 min and knew all the repair shop options for my truck cause I'm from outta town, and then even brought me back to town after dropping off my truck so i didn't have to wait for my ride in the cold! 10/10 experience last night after an unfortunate incident, would recommend them to anyone!!
Being in the Hayward area and suddenly needing a tow truck, I talked to Randy and Tony. Both were very professional and understood customer service makes or breaks a company. I had an hour ride back with Tony and we had a great conversation the entire time. I have never been called "Sir" more than in that hour. Great people make the company at this business and that is coming from someone who owns a small business.
So incredibly grateful for the quick and kind response I received with this company. They even looked at the engine and helped me to get to my final destination after the tow. When you are in an already stressful situation it is very comforting to have amazing help. Very grateful for this company!
We were almost 4 hours from home when our car broke down. Not only did they get to us in under 30 mins, they gave us a ride to town so we could wait for our ride to get us. Fast, friendly, and incredibly professional. Would highly recommend.
I was recommended A-1 Towing by a local repair shop. Randy answered the phone on the second ring and said he’d be able to pick up my 2022 Silverado in an hour. Randy and Tony arrived on time. They took extra care loading my vehicle as it would not start. Randy gave me a fair rate for his service. I hope I don’t need a tow anytime soon but if I do I will use A-1.
Called A1 towing. Randy answered I told them it’s raining and you guys don’t have to tow in the rain. The rain stopped for a bit and Randy and Tony both showed up. They asked for the keys and the truck started. The fuel pump is going out on the truck. They are honest and didn’t tow the truck! If I ever need a tow again it will be them.
Our family has called Randy for multiple different reasons. My husbands truck broke down and he was the fastest response time. Another time, my grandfather locked his keys in his truck on hunting season opener. Randy was happy to come lend a hand! What awesome customer service. Will always recommend!
My son had hit a deer after a 3 hour drive from Rochester MN and when Progressive made it only about them and how it would affect them afyer 2 hours of that we found Randy and he was Awesome! He got there before insurance even activated for a tow truck. Late at night and swarmed with mosquitoes he kept a smile the whole time. Highly recommend. Thank you.

I called to see if they could do a quick tire patch and the gentleman that answered the phone couldn't help me with repairing a tire, but he was more than helpful giving me a lead to where I could get my tire fixed on a Sunday. He told me about L&M. I would have never thought to check them out and it's the only place in town open on Sunday. Thank you sir for being awesome!
Randy saved our vacation by going above and beyond. He is also very professional and either answers call right away or calls back quickly. Tell your insurance company you want Randy with A1!
Our truck broke down in town, we thought we needed a jump so A-1 came out to help. It wasn't the battery but an issue with the starter. Even so he helped us get it running. He was very knowledgeable and very kind. I recommend using these guys!
Told Randy what we needed, it was a bit of a chore, and he completed it with that never-ending smile. Incredible service and great prices. He's always there when I need him :-)
