I had Cody as my tow driver and could not recommend him more. He agreed to help me knowing he would be at work late and was still so polite, respectful and helpful.
I was stuck in the mud about 5 feet from the road at which time police showed up and called Dewey's and once my car was pulled out Dewey's charged me 250.00 I thought of it to be so unfair but because I didn't have that kind of money on me they took my car and now my bill is at 600.00. I can't believe this and thought this to be inhumane.
I 100% do NOT recommend using their tow and auto service. Complete scam! They told me when I had my truck towed that they could fix the truck. When they could not get the parts, I found the parts and they refused to fix the truck. They still charged me for the tow despite not completing a repair. I would have NEVER had my truck towed if they did not misrepresent themselves as an auto repair shop. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY AUTO REPAIR! THEY WILL SCAM YOU! They are simply an oil change place and maybe do brakes. Other than that- they are incompetent. They claim I have a cracked axle when it was only a front wheel bearing and ABS trim ring like I said when I had it towed in! COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT!
Joy, the receptionist, didn’t bring me much joy. She was incredibly rude. The hours on google aren’t accurate. Most towing companies ARE open 24 hrs, this one is NOT. They’re only open until 5, so that getting your car is extremely inaccessible for the average adult.
If you are looking to get yelled at or get a attitude, call them, they are very unprofessional they don’t know how to talk to people on the phone if you get a car towed and stored, they won’t let you get any belongings or anything out of the vehicle. would seriously suggest somewhere else all I got on the phone was attitude
If I could rate more stars I would. The call rep was very professional and gave me an estimated time of an hour. The driver arrived within 35-40 minutes. Most places were closed at the time so I’m grateful to have found this place. I did not get the drivers name but he was extremely professional as well and was very cautious when loading and unloading my car. He also placed it perfectly in my driveway! The price is very reasonable and I would highly recommend this establishment to friends and family. Thank you Dewey’s Towing and Auto Repair.
I was on I-43 this morning around 630 am, ran over something in the drive lane, front tire was going flat. I called Jean and she dispatched Cody to my location. He assessed the situation, found a hole in the tread, put a plug in it, aired it up and I was on my way again. What a capable and safety conscious young man.

Honestly, one of the nicest auto companies my boyfriend and I have ever interacted with. They’ve been nothing but helpful and kind to every concern we’ve had with our car. Being someone who isn’t very knowledgeable on cars, they took extra time to explain everything to me specially before we had to make a decision. Never pushy or anything similar- just very patient and caring!
it took them an hour to get to me, but when Cody did arrive he was super nice. even cracked some jokes and had me laughing. he got the tire changed super quickly. they also have a huge VERY lighted truck which made me feel very safe because I think cars coming up behind us saw the lights 6 counties over. I paid $55 for a tire change I don't know if that's a good price or not but it was worth it to me. will use them for all towing road side needs!

They came and did a recovery for me. Where do I start. First I guess the fact they wanted to put my vehicles in their yard assuming I couldn't afford their fees. Yes it was $3k bill but don't judge a book by its cover because i could afford the bill. The state trooper at the scene was the saving grace because if it wasn't for him we would have astronomical storage fees. Two they damages the whole passenger side of my truck. I had pictures and witnesses including two Illinois state troopers that the truck wasn't damaged before they arrived. Three they destroyed my ignition immobilizer system trying to get it in gear without a key even know I had a key. My insurance company unfortunately is going after them and I'm getting hit with a 2nd claim on my policy because it wasn't included in original accident.
They came out on Sunday and tried to start my truck, it turned out my starter was the problem. I was under the impression my mechanic could tow me, but ended up having to call them back on Monday. They have some really nice guys and their prices are quite reasonable.
100% recommending Dewey’s to all friends and family. They came to the rescue after I got a flat with no spare and waited forever for AAA. Cody was so kind and made the best of my rough situation. Cody for employee of the month!
I used Dewey towing when I had 2 tires blowout from metal on the tollway. My 24/7 car service called a towing company and they ended up canceling after three hours waiting. I was stuck on the tollway for over four hours and it was getting dark. I finally got the name of Dewey’s towing in Beloit and called them and Cody was there within 20 minutes. He was very kind and courteous and he stopped so my friend and I could use the restroom. I would highly recommend Dewey’s and I’m especially thankful for Cody for going above and beyond for us. After my son's parked car was hit by a drunk driver it was towed to Dewey's storage lot. After waiting two weeks only to find out the driver had no insurance. We went to Dewey's to settle up on the storage. They were very helpful and generous, assisting us with getting the car to a salvage yard. They went above and beyond what would have been expected
my wife's car had starter problems. they came promptly, towed, replaced starter, and even gave her a ride to pick it up the same day.fees were very reasonable.
they have maintained both of my cars a 2002 suburban and a 2012 hyundai.
I have no problem recommending them to coworkers.
After spending the entire day on the road in bad weather I ended up stuck in the ditch. The snow was so deep it was hard to tell where the edge of the road was and even getting close was enough to find myself sliding into the ditch. Dewey's tow truck driver was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure we took the safest route the closest available gas station to camp out until roads were plowed. Fortunately, I haven't had much experience with towing companies, but compared to the others, Dewey's really stood out as top notch.

They are the best, hands down. Let them be your hero. I actually had to use them two nights in a row due to a (previously) unknown short in the locks. Johannah, the lady who answered the phone was great. She made sure I knew when the driver would be there and what he would be driving since it wasn't a regular tow truck for a jumpstart. Matt, the driver, was also my hero the next night too (because they remembered me). He was really nice to me and explained what he was doing the whole time.
Cody the tow truck driver was extremely professional and did an amazing job ensuring he took delicate care of my Tesla. Made a stressful situation (flat on highway) as low-stress as possible. Highly recommend Dewey!
Very rude and snarky woman on the phone very un professional and said that I could come get my vehicle so I showed up with a trailer and the refused to even send someone to come open the gate even after they told me after hours there’s a 60 dollar gate fee but as goes to for the tow truck drivers that I’ve felt with from they are great to deal with very nice and personable but I fell bad for u if u have to deal with the receptionist
Showed up early (since when does a tow company do that?) and got my car where it needed to go. No fuss, no muss, pleasant to chat with, and a reasonable price--even for someone losing half a day of work from their paycheck because their car broke down on the way to work.
5 stars, no complaints! Tow truck arrived quickly, driver was courteous and got us home without incident. Reasonable rates and good service. Fully recommended!
