Place says they close at 4:15 when I pulled up before that they closed the gate on me while at least 10 other cars inside. I would have been in and out in 5 min . Should really change hours on website not accurate.
I love this scrap yard. They know me by name and they even remember my son who hasn’t scrapped in almost a year…

They are always super friendly to their customers and very easy to work with the girls in the office and the guys outside Any Scrap I have I bring here no matter what.
Very strange experience over the phone. I called to ask what the payout was on some materials, and whoever picked up the phone had a horrible attitude. Idk if she didn't like my voice or what, but talked to me like I was a pos for calling with questions. She sounded young and needs to work on people skills.
Had a wonderful experience this febuary morning as I drove my 31-year-old Mercury tracer to scrap yard heaven at Racine Auto and Scrap. Those who assisted me in the building were exceptionally sweet and helpful. I also was surprised by the price I got for the car. More than I anticipated. And I got a free sub sandwich! Which is something they do on Friday... Thank you guys for the wonderful experience.
I called to ask a couple questions and receptionist was very rude and wouldn't let me ask her anything!! She couldn't wait to hang up the phone. I'm not satisfied and disappointed with the service I received there
First time in the yard, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was in line with others. The ladies in the office seemed very nice also.
Made pre arranged agreement for a price on certain parts and i get there after driving 8 hours and he says i have to buy all the parts and was just completely unprofessional. Would never think to go here..
The people there are great. My first time there and they helped me through it all. They also explained that aluminum pays more and helped me separate it.

I made a mistake in my transaction. I forgot to save information that I needed. Days later, even though she didn't have to, Claudia fixed it for me with a smile! I really appreciate it.
The best recycling center I am dealt with in many many moons.
First the guys working out in the yard are tremendously helpful and friendly. And inside on the small scale they are very awesome. And last but not least the wonderful nice and caring girls that work inside giving us the cash that we all love so much. Overall the place is A ++ in my book. This is coming from Rasmussen Removal Service...... I recommend Racine auto and scrap 110%.....
Highly recommended especially if you have no idea what you're doing.
Fosters reStore was moving one of our warehouses and it was my very first time ever taking scrap to a recycling place like this. I had truckloads of metal to get rid of. My experience started with Waukesha with Scott through email. He was very helpful and directed me to the Racine location and said they would help unload since everything was in crates and gaylord boxes on pallets. There was no way I was tossing all this out of the truck manually.
When I arrived, I went into the office and the very cheerful ladies at the front directed me to Steve. He was very patient and helpful in explaining the process. Over the scale and around the back. He then helped unload with the fork truck.
Three trips later and about 6 tons of metal, I was done. And each time less than 10 minutes in the yard. From the awesome ladies in the office explaining how it worked, to Steve helping unload, it was a great experience.
So, if you're hesitant to go somewhere because you're new at this, don't worry about Racine Auto and Scrap. They'll take the time to explain and not judge you.
