Nice people in receiving office and on the forklifts I delivered marble chips here on a dry van going to the staging lanes was confusing at first I got lost lol! but I got unloaded fast. And you can sweep out your trailer after on site! Thank you!
Forklift driver was nice, and fast. Otherwise this place is designed to waste time through administration.
There are broken pallets, and presumably nails scattered everywhere. Weird fixation with "safety". I probably wont be back.
Old Castle has made huge improvements over the last few years, yard is much easier to navigate in. Rains days they do develop some ruts in gravel but fix asap.
Old Castle is a nice place to go! The office staff is super friendly as well as the forklift driver's! Loading is fast and your back out on the road in no time!
Old Castle as a truck driver is a pleasant experience. All of the employees are nice and easy to work with. The loading process has become very streamlined over the last few years. Good job to all involved of making everything run so smoothly.
Oldcastle runs like a well oiled machine. The staff are courteous and professional.
As with any successful business that ships via truck, being busy means lines and reasonable waiting. The folks here seem to be doing everything possible to limit driver wait times.

At Oldcastle they strive for perfection and accept excellence. This location produces literal millions of bags of mulch, soil, and rock yearly. What they are able to accomplish here is nothing less than amazing.
Avoid this place at all costs if you have a truck that sits low the holes in their yards are horrific and you have to circle the yard three times one to check in on the way in and one to strap the last time I went through loaded the holes were so bad that my landing gear drug because my truck dropped into the hole if you have a flatbed stay out of this place
Don't know why they are getting a lot of bad reviews. Ms Nicole is nice to work with and their loading times are the same as everywhere else 1.5-2 hours. Nothing we don't get to see in other shippers.
I love loading here! The people working here have always been super nice, and enjoyable to talk to. I've hauled alot of loads out of here and will haul many more for these awesome people. I don't have a single complaint.
This year has been good to us. Wait times have been less than an hour so far. I was told that there have been changes to the management and that seems to have helped.
This one is really bad company, the worker don't care about quality and safety for ugly pellet, 90% of them is damaged.
And plus when I try to tell him for that pellet he have only to say "that is not my job "...
Avoid to pick up hire if you drive flatbed.
The worst of the worse when raining they get mud all over the floor I ask in the office to lay dawn some cardboard so I can keep my trailer clean and somewhere behind the counter desk another lady start arguing, you got it make your mind up here is mess loading mulch that’s what we doing here, I drive 80 miles for that load and I get attitude after all that mess?? B c so I just turned around bye bye.
Absolutely worst company I have ever picked up for. My Driver was there 4.5 hours to get loaded. I drove there to find out what was taking so long . They said “If you don’t like it, then pull your truck!”. I asked to talk to manager and he gets on Walkie talkie and says “ can you come down here? Some guy is here pissing and moaning because he thinks we are taking to long”. Their yard was a mess, pallets with soil were broken and bags were tipped onto ground with holes in the bags. And they didn’t care. DO NOT USE THEM!
Another different setup from other places I have delivered peat moss to in the past. Actually good flow as there is a trailer office out front to check in at. Then pull around trailer and follow the horse shoe shaped path to come out on the other end of the trailer and onto scale. There is a digital read out on side of trailer and a green traffic light will turn on once they have your weight to let you know you are good to go dock.
Pull back onto the front road hang a left continue over the railway track and past and around the huge steel building on your left.
Here you will find 3 outdoor docks built into the concrete slab that leads into the building.
There is good room to maneuver.
