The experience with General Towing was MISERABLE! Our cars were towed around 8:15 pm yesterday. The phone number on the parking sign was wrong. When we finally found the number and called they said that they close the office at 3pm but apparently continue towing cars though-out the evening. They said that they open at 9 am the next day. After missing multiple work meetings, we showed up at 9am just to find a sign that said that we need to call one hour in advance to get our car. Almost an hour later standing in the rain the owner showed up. Terrible, unfriendly, unprofessional human being named Jose (if that is his real name). I have never met a person who is that rude and disrespectful. He forced us to sign a piece of paper without writing an itemized bill first. When we asked for the cost break down he threatened to leave without giving us our cars back. They charged us for "specialized" equipment and the "long" storage time. We paid $397 for each car. Unacceptable! They claim on google to be open 24/7 but don't give people the chance to pick up their car sooner and charge them left and right. We are sure that they used illegal spotters yesterday. Any business in Milwaukee should STAY AWAY from working with the owner of General Towing (Jose) in any way. We will make sure to protect as many people as possible from this guy. He is a shame for American businesses! I hope he is proud of what he does and when he will be old tell his children about his accomplishments in life and how he earned his money.
AVOID AVOID AVOID! Bad experience all around: The operator who came to tow my car smoked his cigarette while in my car. He never gave me a receipt for the services and after calling the main office four times over the course of 2 months, I still don't have one. (Even though every time we talked they said they would send one.) My last time calling to ask for the receipt the dispatcher was extremely rude and yelled at me over the phone.
They towed my car illegally from a private property lot without the permission of my property manager. They made me wait 4 hours to get it towed out of their snowy lot. Then they dropped it into another snowy lot where I could not drive out of the lot. When I asked them politely to move my car to the part of their lot where it would not be stuck, they said it was not their problem. I was stuck in the snowy parking lot until I had to pay a different company to help me get unstuck. These people are very rude and do not care about anyone but themselves. Not the business I would support. This happened on Monday January 28th 2019.
The customer service I recieved from this business was absolutely ridiculous. From the first contact I had when I called them to the follow up call to figure out why my vehicle was not delivered when they said it would be, nothing but rude. I told the guy claiming to be the owner on the phone that their customer service was terrible and he basically said, yeah ok. I have never encountered a business owner that cared less about what a customer that already paid, probably over paid, thought. All I wanted was a little help figuring out what had happened and at no point in time did he attempt to help me or ease my concern. The driver that picked up my car was nice but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I will never use or recommend this awful business again.
Waited 5 hours for a tow truck that never came. No phone call from the company to say that they wouldn’t be able to make it. Absolutely rude service over the phone when I called to check in on the truck. Will not ever be calling for a tow from General Towing again.

After having kept my car with a dealer for over 3 weeks, and the dealer having delayed to perform the work, I used general towing to relocate my car from Waukesha to Glendale.
I'm giving a perfect review for the patience and care that Dominique gave during a very frustrating lemon purchase experience. Upon arrival, Dominique patiently waited for my debit card limit increase to take effect so that I would be able to purchase a used engine and retrieve my car.
After that, the dealer placed the engine INTO MY TRUNK for the tow. Dominique took his time to ensure the engine didn't slide. More importantly, he allowed me to ride with him, and avoided the highway routes in order to maintain stability of the engine in the car. It took 40+ minutes to get from Wilde Honda to Andrew's Chevy, and Dominique reassured me the entire time. In total, we spent 2+ hours on what is normally a 45 minute job.
This type of attention to customer service and customer's needs beyond the call of duty, and I'm truly grateful having Dominique's assistance that night.

When I went to my car, after being towed, I had found my belongings ruffled through and my phone charger missing.

Dominic showed up to jump my car very quickly. When it turned out that my may alternator was shot he helped me get it out of the parking structure and towed me. Very reasonable price and really helpful staff, highly recommend.
Locked my keys in the car and called. I was located around the block from their office. When I called they said 30 minutes and I ended up waiting 2 hours before I had to call another tow. DOESNT FOLLOW THROUGH
Extremely rude. One of their drivers was towing a bus from a secure lot that I store a work vehicle in and he completely blocked the access to my vehicle. When I asked him if it was going to take a while he said "ya" and walked away. I told him I needed to get my vehicle for work and he continued to ignore me. When I called the office they called the driver and he simply looked at me and laughed.
Upon him leaving I asked if this was worth the negative impact on his job and he replied with a laugh and stated that he would sue me for that. It must be a family owned business because he did not fear any consequences for his actions.

Was having a very bad day when my car broke down, I googled tow companys in Milwauke everyone was either way to busy or had a very long time of arrival, General Towing came up gave them a call they had a truck within 30min. Very economical price. The driver was very nice, went out of his way to get me and my car safely to a repair shop Had the best expirience with General Towing.I would recommend them anytime.
