What clients say about Copart - Milwaukee North in Milwaukee (WI)

I was donating my car to a charity and they had Copart pick-up my car from my home. I was at work when they arrived to pick-up the donated vehicle so I asked the driver to give the my license plates to my wife to which he agreed. Needless to say that didn't happen. I called the office and explained my situation to the customer service person and she stated that I would need my insurance company to call them to get the license plates mailed back to me. I then told her that I was donating my car to charity so there was no insurance company involved in this transaction. Then she said that the only way that I could get my license plates back is if I drove to Brown Deer to pick them up. All I wanted them to do is mail the plates back to my home address were the car was picked-up at. Very poor customer service at best.

I had my car towed here after a not at fault accident, going through the other person's insurance company Geico. Copart went through my vehicle and emptied my personal belongings without authorization. They admitted to throwing out things that had sentimental value. Most of my items were in an envelope when I arrived. I had to ask them about my iphone cord charger, which was inexplicably on their table behind the desk and not included in my envelope of personal belongings they deemed I could keep while throwing the rest out. And then proceeded to offer me a low-ball offer amount to cover my missing items claiming that their people are not being "trained properly" don't let geico take your vehicle here, don't ever take your vehicle here

This place is super hard to find. I called customer service and spoke to a very nice woman named Mary who told me where to go and stayed on the phone with me until I found it. Once I did find it, I had the best experience I could have had under the circumstances. Before I went, I was told, "They aren't going to help you with anything. They don't want to be responsible. Make sure you bring what you need to get your plates off." I never would have thought of that. So I brought a screwdriver. A gentleman by the name of Pablo got my car for me to clean out. He offered to take my plates off for me (which was really helpful, given that I didn't bring the right sized screwdriver). He reminded me to take my garage door opener. He told me if I needed help with anything to let him know. He went way above and beyond what I'm sure his job responsibilities were and made my very stressful day a little less stressful. Thank you for your help!
