I didn't purchase. So many warnings and disclaimers i was truly discouraged because you buy at your own risk. NO CASH REFUNDS? No way to be sure of the integrity of the business- they could purposely sell you a part that doesn't work, then what recourse do you have? If you don't need another auto part, what do you do? There's more customer friendly retailers out there. Too daunting to do business here

Stay away they talk to you like you are dirt and they over price for the work. Don't even step foot in there you will leave mad. Protect your energy Read the comments and read the owner response, Pathetic, Evil will not prevail this is a on going real issue. They need to go get some therapy life is too short to be so angry, anger bust pipes gives u high blood pressure and other health issues. Stay safe folks.. lol he made about a response that he copied and paced from another bad review, because I never came in to ask for a battery . Crooks!
They tried to sell me a used wiper motor for 75 bucks. SMH O'Reilly have them for 80 bucks brand new. Another one of those foreigners who try and take advantage of blacks.
I went in for a window replacement and had a great experience. The 2 men who helped me out where professional, quick, and accommodating. Don't expect a big waiting room and bring cash to pay and you'll have no problems. I called ahead to make sure they had the part I needed. Their friendliness on the phone was what made me come in. Price couldn't be beat! If you need a part, no hassle, low prices check this place out.
Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I was inquiring about scratches on a car door and the person serving me started getting frustrated with me. As soon as I told him to calm down and to not get frustrated with some simple questions he told me, and I quote, "If you don't like my tone you can go ahead and call someone else." This was an extremely poor first impression.
WORST EXPENRIENCE EVER!!!!!! bought a part literally same day and advised that they wouldnt be able to return the part because it was new part. But if it was a used part than they would take it back.

After purchasing a window for my envoy from another salvage yard (they sold me the wrong size and wouldn't exchange it). I then stopped in at American Auto Salvage and he new exactly what I needed without even looking it up. Not only did the window fit, but they offered to buy the window I purchased from the other company. So 5 stars for American Auto Salvage. Thank you and I will be doing all my business with you guys.

I drove all the way there after my uncle called and confirmed the parts. Just to be there for 20 mins and for them to tell me they don't have the parts. But they know who does and long and behold it's literally all the way on the other side of town.
I called 6 different places None of them had what I needed. Not only did they have the part but it was in great condition and they brought it out to my car and put it in the trunk for me... Very courteous... Will use them again if needed....

Very nice guys that work there! I was having some bad electrical problems with my 2003 Ford Taurus the guy fixed it for me for $150!! Just think how much I would of paid if I went to the ford dealership!! Thoes guys are my main mechanics now!
I had a 98' Chevy Malibu that got into an accident and long story short it was not repairing since that would have cost a lot of money (and my insurance would not pay for repairs given the age and mileage). So, I brought it to this place and the guy gave me $400 in cash! He didn't give me a run around or anything. This payment was double what other salvage yards were offering (I called 4 in total). The guy was nice. He's an older Russian or eastern European man and I think he mentioned he's been there for 30 years. This place is not much to look at from the outside and is in a poorer neighborhood, but don't let those factors hold you back from checking this place out. I was happy to give this guy business.
