Carl and Elsa have the best salvage yard in the state if not the country. Where else can you roam among over 6000 cars,trucks from the 30s-90s! Its the best kind of car show! We got to visit one of the best old car junk yards in the Country. Please call ahead and ask the owners to let you walk around there beautiful property of thousands of old cars most of them ranging from the 30s to the 70s. I am a CDL driver and I blew a drive tire that destroyed both valves on my air tanks. They repaired me and got me safely off the interstate so the tire could be replaced. Thank you!
Went to the salvage yard today to look for some 1967 nova parts. Sadly didn't find what I was looking for.. still well worth the 2 hr trip there. Love looking at all the 1930s to 1970s cars and trucks. Carl is a great man to talk to and is very fair on prices.

Prices are way overpriced! Carl's negotiating style is this....he will always start by asking you what you're willing to pay for parts and once you say a price, Carl and his wife will roll their eyes, laugh, then tell you a price that's 3 times higher than your offer. Then, when you tell him you don't want a part, he will tell you that you will have to walk back in and put it back where you found it.
Always a great get away if you are a junkyard lover, Carl is a great guy to deal with, has many stories of some of the old wrecks that came in back in the day. If one can not find it here, try looking harder in the yard!
One of the biggest yards I have been to in WI. Vehicles from the 40s to present. Carl is a great guy to work with. Good prices on vintage parts. especially non big 3 manufactures, that ya can't find anywhere else. AMC, Desoto, Hudson, Crosley, Nash, Rambler, were in abundance.
I went to find parts for a car my son and I are restoring. Believe me, if they don't have it, you may never find it. They have thousands of cars with plenty of good parts. They are super kind to deal with and the prices are more than fair.
Don’t let some of the other pessimistic reviews be of concern. I visited the salvage yard this past weekend for the first time. Carl (the owner) and his Wife were very accommodating and helpful the entire day I was there.
Communication is key as the couple runs a 24/7 towing recovery business and are always on call. Needless to say they are always quick to answer the phone.
So make sure to call a couple days in advance, as well as the day of to confirm a time to visit.
Take pictures of parts, and discuss pricing with Carl before removing. I believe me and Carl negotiated a fair deal for the both of us on the items I purchased.
Have some common courtesy and close the doors/hoods on the classics in the yard.
I have full intentions to return before there’s too much snow in the yard, had a great experience!
OVERCHARGES. I took a 3 hour trip to check out there yard. I called ahead and they said they have a few of the 90's era cars I was looking parts for. Went there found some parts after hours of walking through tall grass, weeds, trees, etc to find them. When I asked how much he wanted for the parts, he wanted $1000 for the interior parts I got! I can buy a parts car for that money! Never in 40 years of going to yards have I been charged that much for a dash trim and some door panels!! He did not want to give me any break on price other than dropping it down to $800,wow really? Needless to say, I left all the parts there. I was planning on going back a few more time to see what I missed as they have a lot classic cars to look at and I have a lot projects, but never again will I go there! What a disappointment is was.

Had a major coolant leak. Needed to get my rig towed from new Lisbon, wi all the way back to st, Paul, mn. The lady told me it wouldn't be until the following day, almost like they didn't want my money. Screw this company!! Save your self time and DONT BOTHER CALLING THIS COMPANY

Getting to me was kinda what's expected squeezing in all calls... Time of day and day of week. Once there.... Every time exceptionally quick diagnosis. Attention to driver and machine... Polite and professional.
Do not call these thieves! They will tell you your vehicle is un repairable and you should give it to them for the price of the tow! And most definitely do not rent from them or do work for them! They will sneak around your property when your not there go through your stuff and accuse you of destroying there property. There was cockroachs in the home when i moved in they tried to say was not there! Cowards!
My fuel filter was clogging up and needed to be changed. I showed up at their shop at 5 pm . I thought they would be closed for sure. I called the number on the building and was able to speak to a very nice lady whom put me contact with Terry. Even though he was leaving for the day this very nice man swapped out my clogged filter with a smile and a nice conversation. I was out of there very quickly. These are great people. I couldnt be more satisfied with their provided service.
I didn't have to use their towing service, but rather getting parts from their retired/scrap vehicles. The couple that owns the property are very friendly and accommodating as long as you're honest with them. I had a wonderful experience the two times I've been there, and with the massive amount of stuff they have, plan to go back again in the future. Highly recommended.
Midnight and had just stopped for fuel. Pulled back onto the road and my top coollant hose blew. CL Chase sent out a repair tech he had me rolling again before 3am. Solid on the repair and on the response.
Biggest ripoffs I've ever encountered. Has a short tow to their shop was told no more then 200 bucks. Ask driver to drop my car. Guy calls someone and tells me 500 bucks. SCAM SCAM SCAM
Quoted me almosr $400.00 for a used truck tire. Went to Dale Schultz Tire in Mauston and got essentially the same thing for $200.00. What a ripoff joint this is!
Crooks, Thieves and nasty greedy animals who are complete disaster. These criminals Forced me to pay $7800. for towing working truck without my knowledge
