Typical "dive" bar and that is a compliment. Bartender was very friendly. Prices were reasonable. Wish we could have come back for the vibrator races the next day!

Cool dive bar with local color. Outdoor patio with bandstand and live music. I'm sure it hops in the summer, because it was hopping in a cold May! Food truck outside...bbq beef +- pork only.

I've lived in the area for 4 years but never visited here. I should have come in sooner. Everyone was very welcoming and they don't close up early like most bars with 2am licenses seem to around here. A very nice change of pace. I'll be back, no doubt.

Just a great old style tavern. Weekends they have bands and during the week volleyball.

Perfect dive bar. Relaxing and unpretentious. Sign the walls or ceiling. Music outside on Saturday nights, weather permitting, with some type of great BBQ special.

Fun place. Casual atmosphere. There are often special events for fun and/or benefits. Food is great when available.

Sandy Hook Taverns is always a good time! At the Hook you will find a friendly atmosphere, well made drinks and great food sold by AJ's Meat Shack. The Hook is also very supportive of local musicians and books local entertainment often. Halloween at the Hook is my personal favorite.

Don't go often, but when I do, it's always a good time. They have great bands & sometimes they have fireworks

This is one of the coolest bars around, everytime we're in the area we make sure to stop and have a beer.

Always the best...bands, food, beverages and staff. Especially the owner, one if the best guys you'll ever meet. If you don't come here, you better start, if you already do....you know why!!!!!!

Ash is great. Theres always a friendly environment. The place is very warm and welcoming. Sandy always has great bands and activities taking place

Saw Ratchet Jaw here! Awesome time! Kinda stuffy and awkwardly setup to get more drinks in a crowd so we didnt order as much as we normally would have, but a good night out all the same!

I've been coming here for over 12 Years and even though the faces have changed, the hospitality and respect will never change. Ash is always trying to better this establishment in all aspects. A true entrepreneur. Phenomenal food, always good music and a place you can call your second "home".

Nice little biker bar, drinks are a little expensive but the people are nice. Added the hammer down riders to the names on the ceiling. Was very pleased by the lack of hipsters.

Great entertainment on weekends. Bands from all over the Country. Owner Ash is one great guy. He is very involved in supporting area charities and motorcyclist. When u order a drink at the Hook, U get a drink!
