Guy at front computer came out, took some pics of damage, said he'd call me after he puts something together. I left and NEVER heard back from him. Now that's some real customer service skills.

Well worth the short wait(about a month) to get in. Excellent communications, excellent work by the shop who even went the extra steps to give the interior a clean up!!!! Thank you to everyone at Altoona Auto Body!! I would Highly Recommend to anyone in need of repairs.
Started out good. But when it comes time to backup the work they won't stand behind it. Very disappointing. They just did a patch job when taken back in. Now thats also failing.
Did a great job fixing the issue and wonderful job with paint. Great customer service. Only reason I gave four instead of 5 stars is that it took over 2 months to get an appointment to fix the issue. Seems a little excessive, even in this economic environment.
Overall though, I would recommend them again though based on service and professionalism.
Best body shop ever! Fixed all of my body work and sent it to an awesome shop for the other issues! Offered a car for my family to use while my van was being fixed! Without Eric being so kind and offering us the xar we wouldn't have been able to go about life! I hit the bear but Eric and Altoona Auto Body made a frustrating situation easier! Thanks guys!!
I was rear-ended in September and was faced with totaling my beloved 1990 Toyota Celica GT. The car has been in my family since new. She was in excellent original condition with barely over a 100,000 miles before the crash and I drove her in the off winter months. Eric wrote up a fair estimate and said they could fix it so I did not turn her over to the insurance company. Eric met with me on a Saturday to go over the car and we discussed some extra work that I wanted done. I was excited when he called and let me know she was ready. WOW - they pulled that horribly caved in rear end out and with the extra work done I have a 31 year old Celica that looks like new! She is in my shed now covered up and I can't wait to get her out this spring.
Awesome. If you ever find yourself needing a body shop, please take your car to Altoona Auto Body. Eric and the crew worked their butts off to make sure my car was ready for me to be able to leave town. They were professional, polite, communicated any issues or delays, and did everything in their power to ensure my car was done quickly and done right. I would gladly take a vehicle to them in the future should the need arise. I would encourage family and friends to do the same.
Altoona Auto Body replaced the bumper on my year old Yukon. They did a wonderful job. Much better work than another shop I have used before in town. Eric was friendly and helpful and the quality of their work is top notch!

I have taken multiple vehicles to the shop for repairs I've gotten after accidents and each time I've worked with the same gentleman. He was polite, thorough in getting information as to the damages and repairs needed, explained the entire process very well, and treated me very fairly and with great respect. Turnaround time has been great, especially for a shop with a limited number of employees, and I've always been very impressed with his work. He has also always completed the repairs as described and for the prices agreed upon with the insurance companies of those at fault. One of my vehicles was a VW with a not-so-common paint color and he was able to repair and repaint the panels to the point where they look absolutely factory. I've never had any issues with their repairs showing irregular body lines, have had no issues with missing parts or shoddy craftsmanship, and the paint has held up great well after the repairs. I would not hesitate to bring any of my vehicles back to them for body work, and I recommend them to everyone I know in need of it.

What a great place to take your car for auto body repair. Between the auto body shop and the insurance company my vehicle was done and paid in one week ($3500). Owner of the body shop went above and beyond.

I was rear ended in early May. I took it to Altoona Auto Body. Eric, Jennifer and the crew did a FANTASTIC job. They even repaired a small crack in front bumper and touched up any rock nicks at no charge. And what a pleasant surprise, they cleaned the interior better then any car wash place in town... and I did not bring it in clean at all...(sorry about that guys!).
AND they completed the work 3 days earlier then estimated.
I wholeheartedly recommend Altoona Auto Body....Almost cant wait for my next accident to get that kind of customer service :)
