We've had at least 4 or 5 repairs done by Poplar Auto, both covered by insurance and not covered by insurance. Recently I took a claim that I was paying out of pocket to 4 other auto repair shops to get quotes and not only was Poplar Auto the most reasonable, but they were the most empathetic. I had some repair shops say they had to check with my car manufacturer to see what was "allowed". Ridiculous answer when I own mycar outright, it's my car and my wishes, not the car manufacturer's decision. We won't go anywhere else but Poplar Auto for future repairs. I won't even waste my time with other estimates.

We were on an extended road trip and hit a deer in northern Wisconsin. Josh and Kaylynn at Poplar Auto Refinishing were recommended by several of our friends who live in the area. Their work is top notch and—knowing we had a deadline to get home to California, they worked as quickly as possible without compromising quality. They worked seamlessly with our insurance company and kept in touch with us during the entire process. We were back on the road in two weeks. A friend recommended this shop. This place is welcoming, clean, not chaotic, knowledgeable, fair priced, transparent, and fast. Could not have had a better experience after another auto shop returned our vehicle to us with new damage (3K worth) created while in their possession. Will now be driving 40 minutes from where we live, just to go here, as we have finally found somewhere trustworthy. Highly recommended and thank you to Josh for helping our family.

Poplar Auto Refinishing is simply the best! Fantastic! Beautiful work and I have never, EVER had a body shop detail my car, inside and out! What a great surprise! This is a family business and you feel like family when you are there. Very friendly and helpful staff from Josh to Peggy to KayLynn. Them suppling you with a loaner car is also so helpful, so convenient. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else and I recommend them to everyone. You will not regret it...5 stars in every catagory!
Took our 2001 Honda Odyssey in to them because the side doors would not stay closed. They worked and worked on those doors including buying a used door for parts. Nothing worked. They put many hours into this project and finally got them to close. Doors are now manual on drivers side but they close. Our thanks to Josh and the entire crew. Our biggest surprise was the bill for the work. It was way less than the hours put into the job and Josh apologized for not being able to put the doors back to normal working condition. Would recommend Poplar Auto Refinishing to anyone needing work done. Their customer service is top notch and they take all their work personally.
I had the unfortunate experience of having to use their services twice in four months, thanks to deer hits. With the first one I had to wait a while to get on their schedule, but Josh did some quick temporary repairs so that my car was quite driveable while I waited. It was well worth the wait! They repaired it to perfection in a timely manner, with great communication all along the way. It was returned to me perfectly detailed, looking like a brand new car.
I had the same experience the second time. That time, due to a critical family medical issue, I had to go out of town and Josh worked my car in while I was gone so that I would have a car when I returned, as due to my circumstances I would be gone again for quite a while.
They handle all the details in dealing with the insurance company and also have an arrangement with a rental car agency so that a rental car may be picked up onsite. I will never go anywhere else for body work!
Excellent experience from the time I made the appointment to the time I picked up the finished car. It was also cleaned, inside and out. The courtesy car was nice too. I highly recommend!!
We brought our truck to them after hitting a deer. We had to wait about two months for our appointment, but it was well worth the wait. They were polite, professional and great to work with. Would definitely recommend them.

I had the misfortune of two accidents in about 3 weeks of another. Josh was great and I felt very confident in the quotes he gave me. I knew right off the bat that he was a very honest person. And wow! when I picked up my car I barely recognized it! It hadn't been that clean inside and out in a long time and well as spectacular work on the repairs! I hope to never use Poplar Auto again for this (HaHa) but if life finds me in a similar circumstance, Josh will be the first person I call.
We have done business here for many years. The owner's are great. They always do a fantastic job with making the cars like brand new no what the damage is. They will give you an honest opinion of what needs to be done and the choice is yours of what you want done. Their cost is very reasonable compared to other auto body repair shops. I won't go anywhere else.
I am so glad I chose Poplar Auto Refinishing for the work I needed. The quality of the work is second to none. The staff were excellent, and the service was timely. They even took the extra step of touching up some rock chips I had been putting off, and surprised me with a wash and detail. Despite the travel time from where I live, this will be the first shop I call when I need work done.
Fast, courteous, reliable, AND accommodating. I highly recommend them to everyone. Fixed my car to pristine condition in less than a week. I brought my car in on Monday and it was ready by Friday. I had a prior commitment on Friday so they opened for a few hours on Saturday so I could get my car for the weekend. Best service ever. Everyone was friendly and pleasant and very helpful.
I can't say enough good things about poplar auto they are so amazing I'd recommend them to anyone! I was involved in a car-deer accident about a few weeks ago. Poplar Auto staff was so incredibly, professional and patient. Communication was amazing even though I had a wait an extra week it was worth it my car looked like nothing even happened by the time they were done with it. I hit a deer with my car about a week ago. Instantly I started asking friends and family for recommendations and I got recommended to try this place. I have heard great things over the years but with it being in Poplar WI and me living in Duluth it was kind of far to go. Anyway I decided I would take the drive and go check it out. Instantly when I walked in the door I was greeted and was told they would get me someone right away. The owner of the business (Josh) came out and assessed the car himself. He wrote up everything that was broken and even made my passenger door so it would open again before I left. (I was just in for an estimate at this point!) At that point he asked me what I was going to do for a vehicle if I give him my business since I live in Duluth and I said I wasn’t sure. He said “don’t worry about it you can borrow one of mine at no additional charge!” Outstanding! At this point I told him I would give him my business. I arrived the day to get my car fixed and sure enough he had a Chevy waiting for me to use. (I refuse to drive Toyota’s) I left and came back 3 days later astonished at how my car looked. Not only did they do an incredible job with the body of the car but they also scrubbed down my rims and detailed the car inside and out. It made my car look like it was brand new off the lot! I cannot thank Josh and his staff enough for what he did for me and my family car. Thank you Josh and Poplar Auto Body. I will always recommend you to all my friends and family. Service was outstanding.

Poplar Auto fixed a deer strike to my pickup. Very easy to deal with. The service was fast and the cost was reasonable. They go the extra mile to make sure they perform high quality work from the quality of parts procured to the actual body work. I'm very pleased with the repair on my vehicle.
