This old store has truly seen better days , but the masonary work is still solid , too bad the economy in that area does not justify restoring it !!!

Such a beautiful old building with lots of history. The inside is currently empty and dilapidated.

This is a must see if you are in the area. Great for history buffs as this is one of the coal company stores as heard about in the song Sixteen Tons and in history class. And as evidenced from the photos people have posted, it is a photographers dream.

Very historic and beautiful building with so much history. Not sure why people keep breaking all of the windows and vandalizing the building.

Neat place…hopefully someone does something great with it.

Most amazing building I've ever had the privilege to explore. Learning the history and hearing the emotional attachment from the locals is touching and not to mention inspiring. A must see before it's renovated.

I can only imagine how this store looked back in the day. They definitely don't build things like the use to.

This place is very very cool period the history around the area is amazing period my understanding somebody is going to develop it into a visiting center my hopes is that they don't destroy the original character of this amazing And forgotten abandoned building.

Awesome place, great history, both light and great rooms and creepy dark in the basement. Worth a side trip if in the area.

Nice historical building to stop and look at. It would be nice if the county and/or state would turn it into a museum.

I walk our family dog “Izzy” around and inside of the place all the time. My daughter went with me exploring around and inside of the Itmann’s ol company store and she liked the elevator shaft and how it went all the way under the ground.

Interesting historical site, very accessible and right off the road.

It is a shame that such a lovely building has reached this level of disrepair.

The building is in bad need of repair. It's a same such a landmark has been neglected too long.

I remember going there as a young child with my Dad whom has soon passed away to pick up his paycheck from where he worked at the Itmann Mines for many many years. Just sad to see it in such poor conditions. Would love to see it become something great for the community.

This is a truly incredible building in Southern West Virginia. It is amazing to think about the history here, really hoping something can be done with it.

Old abandoned place had to be very nice in its time...

This is a historical structure. It is supposedly going to be reopened sometime in the future as a motel/restaurant. It is falling down and in need of repair. You can get a picture of the building from the side of the road and appreciate it's amazing stone work however it is on private property marked with no trespassing signs. It's a disappointment is what it is. Yet you can't help but appreciate it still.
