3 great waterfalls along a short round trip hike on a well maintained trail. There are a fair amount of steps, but still easy.

The place has a designated trail which goes to three waterfalls. The further you hike, the more beautiful the falls. The first falls is not that picturesque because of the trail location. Falls two and three are nice. HOWEVER, the trail to the third falls involves steps - lots of steps. There is a metal staircase which seems to be three or four or more stories high. If you hate steps - avoid the third falls. However, it is worth going down and up. Since they are metal grate steps, you can see through them. Some people had dogs that refused to descend them. There was plenty of parking. NOTE: You will not have cell service in this area. So, if you want to use Google Maps, you better download them in advance.

A great Group Falls , Trail is easy gong down but there are 380 steps to deal with down is easy up is harder. Upper fall not that great .

This national forest park was free and protected First thing is free and parking free as well. We went on a week day so was just 5 cars They build a trail with wood and steel platforms with a lot steps so you have to stay on the path First falls only the top view so we can’t take good photos . Second and third falls they have a platform with an amazing view It’s not handicapped accessible Be in good shape since going down it’s a lot steps and we have to be back same way

Don’t miss this. 3/4 mile one way But it’s a LOT of stairs. Dogs are welcome but one section is 5 stair flights on grated steel. You start with the smaller fall then the middle. Last fall is the best at 61 feet. Accessibility without the boardwalk and stairs would take all day. No cell service Plan at least 2 hits to enjoy 2 pit toilets.

Outstanding. First fall is accessable paved path, but elevation drop will make it tough to get back to parking lot. Next falls is a lot of stairs and a bridge. Outstanding woodwork. These structures are solid. Last falls is even more stairs. Once at the bottom, remember every step down will have to be climbed. Take your time. Take breaks. Bring water. You will definitely feel the burn on the way up. That warning is detailed to tell you to be prepared. Definitely worth the hike. Pit toilet at parking lot.

Coolest freaking thing ever. As a Hoosier, I loved exploring this mountain creek. I never saw a sign that said I couldn't freestyle climb up the side of the waterfall, but I did, and it was freaking awesome and beautiful. First time seeing some crawdads too - that was pretty cool as well. All around: a great day was made of this area.

Amazing... easy paved trail... about 382 stair steps to the lower falls.

Beautiful area! We did not make it through all the trails but hope to do so soon. Be prepared with some warm gear, this area is colder than surrounding areas.

1 hike 3 waterfalls! Cannot get a proper view of the upper falls. Lower falls is the best with 63' drop. The hike is along a wooded pathway and got quite a decline.

3 different waterfalls to see... to get to the third you walk ALOT of steps. Do not recommend the third for young kiddos due to the walking back up ( unless you are willing to carry! Haha ). The one picture of steps is only 1/4 of the steps. It's still very beautiful though and recommend for waterfall lovers!

Great, short but stair-strenuous, down and up hike. Trail is green with moss; boardwalk and stairs can be slippery. Walk slow with appropriate footwear!

Went when it was raining. Place was absolutely magical. LOTS of stairs so be prepared, but worth every step. On sunny/warm days there's a couple of spots you could sit by the creek. The water was definitely running fast when I was there, buts it's often lower.

Spectacular falls all the way down a great boardwalk, these three falls are worth the drive and walk. Lots of wood nettles and stinging nettles along the way but there is also plenty of jewelweed nearby. Natural remedy-just squeeze liquid from the stem onto your skin.

One of my favorite places! It is so beautiful and the trails are very well maintained. The falls and the forest are breathtaking!

Wow, that's a lot of steps, but worth every one of them. Absolutely beautiful. The boardwalk view of the first set of falls is awful. If you want a good view/pic you're going to have to get wet and muddy.

Done the hike 3 times now, and it's beautiful each time. Bring water and sturdy shoes. Hit the facilities before starting....its a good walk, but plenty places to rest along the way and take pics, which are always stunning.

As a disabled person I certainly enjoyed how accessible this trail begins. I'm not in a wheelchair, but at the viewpoint, you are barely able to see the water due to the foliage. It's still beautiful, but if you want to see a beautiful cascading fall and can't do stairs find another trail. As a photographer I was able to make lemonade out of the gorgeous colors etc.

Allow yourself about an hour to get to the lower falls and back. Maybe a little longer with kids. Beautiful sights and a nice trail to walk on. If you want to see the bigger falls you have to be ready to get there by way of many many sets of steps. Careful with small children!

The trail the access the waterfall is soon easy and stroller friendly if you have a baby or a child who hates walking or if you have someone who needs to be in a wheelchair. The trail is so short (0.5mile), and if you are not planning on hiking, 30-60 minutes would be enough to go back and forth and enjoy the trails. I had a baby in a stroller and couldn’t leave the main trail to see the waterfall. The trail is not designed to get you to a point where you can see the beautiful waterfall, but you get to see it from the upper level.

There are three falls on the trail. They appear from smallest to largest. The first is very easy to get to and a short hike or walk is more accurate. The only down side to that you can really only see it from the top and it’s usually pretty blocked by trees and overgrown. The second is a slightly more challenging of a hike with a good bit of stairs. The trail is beautiful and shaded so not bad when it’s a hotter day. Very beautiful falls and multiple angles to view it. The final fall is worth the extra effort. A lot of stairs and can be very slick in spots so wear the right shoes. If you have bad knees might not be worth it as the trip back is mostly inclined and those stairs can be brutal. Overall I recommend this adventure for anyone even with small kids if they can handle stairs and walk. I don’t remember the exact length but takes at least an hour and a half if your stopping and enjoying the views. Would recommend bringing water but you can leave snacks in the car unless your planning on having a meal with a view. No tables to eat at but plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view.

Beautiful little hike. The first falls which is wheelchair accessible..had no view from the observation deck. Which may be due to low water. I don't know. There's a few sets of stairs onward down, which you'll also have to climb back up. Eventually to reach the second Falls you'll have to navigate a metal set of stairs. If you're like me and you're not a fan of heights, these are the unfortunately the things you have to come overcome. The two lower falls were beautiful and worth the hike. There are also various little vantage points for relaxing by the creek. Go and have a blast! Also there were bathrooms in parking lot but when we arrived they were both locked.

Beautiful waterfalls! Definitely worth the trip to see these falls. It is quite a hike down to see the three falls and took longer than I had anticipated. It is a hike from the parking lot. If it is hot outside, make sure to bring a water bottle. This is NOT handicapped accessable. Glad I did not bring any older folks who might have walking issues. There are over 500 stairs and they are steep. People who have knee and hip problems would not be able to do all of the stairs. I included a picture of the easy stairs. There was also a black metal staircase with over 100 steep stairs going down to the falls.

This was an unexpected find on my trip to WV. The trail was nice, if a little strenuous for this fatman, and the water falls (plural) were lovely. It is a well developed trail with lots of stairs, including an actual stairwell to get you to the bottom of the falls. If you are mobile and in the area you should visit, just give yourself some time on the hike back if your a big person like myself.

Steps... lots of steps. But simply gorgeous and a must see. The trail to the upper Falls is paved and an easy, short walk, but the view of the waterfall isn't very good. From there, the steps begin to the middle falls. The best view for this 40ft waterfall is from the lower viewing deck. And even more steps will take you to the lower falls, which is 60ft tall and stunning.

Free! A nice trio of falls although the top falls is accessible via a trail but you can only see the top of the falls and not the falls themselves. From there you will get your steps in as you climb down to the middle and lower falls(best). I was here for about an hour and felt like I saw what it had to offer. There is also a great pond across the highway from the entrance to the falls.

Beautiful, must see spot. The trail to the 1st set of falls is an easy, level, graveled path. It takes about 10-15 minutes 1 way. The trek to the middle falls is a bit more challenging with many stairs at a mild incline. I have severe arthritis and was able to complete this part of the trail at a slow pace. The final leg of the trail was too steep for me to complete, I did see many families with young children able to complete the steel staircases to the lower falls.

This place is beautiful. The stairs are pretty intense so take water or something to drink. I noticed several dogs wouldn't go down the metal staircase --some people carried them. There are 3 sets of overlooks for 3 different waterfalls and the largest waterfall is at the bottom. There are also restrooms and parking at the top. ?

In a word, the falls are spectacular and the wooden walkway is in fantastic condition. Unfortunately, the wood was EXTREMELY slippery and I and several others fell during the hike. The addition of some sand/paint treads or at the least warning signs, would be helpful. I have more bruises than a hike along a decked path should inflict.
