Beautiful place and we went in Oct the first week so colors were gorgeous also. Smokey Hill cavern store nearby is also a nice place to eat and shop!

Beautiful view, we use to go up this mountain as kids and did not even break a sweat, that was alot different this time as adults.

Beautiful area. We plan to visit again and hike to the top. The US Forest Service is doing a nice job maintaining this area.

Beautiful place, lots of parking, water bottle refilling station, bathrooms, just a nice spot.

We went to both Spruce Knob and Seneca Rocks and they were amazing! Spruce Knob is a very pleasant mountain peak, I wish we could have stayed there all day. The views of Seneca Rocks were amazing even from the road.

Over 4800 feet up, ten degrees cooler than the valley awesome place, the air smells of spruce, plenty of parking.

Despite being advertised as open 24 hours, the establishment was closed just 10 minutes after arriving, contrary to Google Maps. The lack of a proper road for several miles added some thrill, but ultimately, the disappointment of finding the place closed overshadowed any excitement.

It is up in the clouds, beautiful views and several trails right on top of the mountain.

Beautiful sights. Poor trail markers. The trail map shows multiple colored trails but the markers on the trail are all blue.

Seneca Creek hike was wonderful with plenty of creekside campsites, some with waterfalls. Humid but very enjoyable. Scenic too. We visited the 1973 plane crash site and the Spruce Knob observation deck.

Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and remote places that I have been fortunate to visit. It is gorgeous beyond measure. The mountains, forests, trails and wildlife are unique and stunning to the area. One of my favorite places on Earth.

Great trails, smells, waterfalls, great views, and challenging on some trail route. My only issue is that the trails are not properly blazed well and trail maintenance is somewhat needed. Quite easy to get confused since the blue blazer seems to be the only color, and some intersections are crampled with various trails. I ended up on 2 wrong trails on my 2nd day which added 3 hrs or so and 5 extra miles to my original 16 mile trip; many uphill sections. Also be aware of black bears on the far right side trails on the map, I saw a tagged mama and cub about 30 yards or so below the trail on my first day. Happy trails!

We hiked 11 miles all together. Camped one night. It's such a beautiful area and we had an amazing time! I'll definitely be coming back.

The lake was very beautiful! You can fish and there is a easy walking trail around it.

Wonderful hiking destination! Had an amazing backcountry hiking experience! Great trails and many camping locations to be found.

My favorite spot in West Virginia for camping and hiking! The Seneca Rocks trail is an easy hike that one can complete in sneakers. However, hiking boots made the trek on the top of the rocks significantly easier. Before/after your hike you MUST get the chicken salad sandwich from Yokum's Deli and walk across the street to Harper's Old Country Store to get a can of Mountain State Brewing Co.'s 'Cold Trail' blonde ale to celebrate the Rocks. And say hi to Bo, the store owner's dog. You may find him on the trail going towards the top of the rocks. He is a natural trail guide. Don't worry, he knows those rocks better than you do.

The website is the worst fyi it says $8 per site online but pay it at site it was $42. At big bend the dude was shady.

We've been to alot of highpoint, this was a little disappointing. No information signs at top of small tower. Pine trees over the decades are blocking the views. The trails were nice to get better views.
