The Via Ferrata hike was amazing!!!! 10/10 would go again. The guides Brandon and Jules were awesome. The room however needed to be cleaned better (there was medication underneath the sink from one of the previous people to stay there, as well as some trash under the bed, could use a new shower liner too) other than that it was an incredible experience!

Our guide Brandon on the Via Ferrata was super cool and encouraging, NROCKS is definitely worth a visit and worth the price for the experience they provide.

Terrible greedy and heartless company. Broke my foot/ankle 4 days before my booked tour during my road trip, which already ruined my vacation. On top of my pain, missed vacation time, hospital bills and other financial losses, I now had to deal with this terrible company who refused to give me a refund or at least a rain check. I was told within 7 days there is nothing they can do. Well, I'm sorry I didn't have my accident sooner!! And the truth is, there is always something they can do, they just refused to. Shame on you. Lost close to $400 since I had also booked an overnight stay and they wouldn't even refund that, not even partially. So travellers and adventurers beware, this company has no ethics or empathy!

NROCKS delivers one of the most unforgettable experiences in the eastern U.S.! The views are jaw-dropping, and the climbs will get your heart racing in the best way possible. The guides are outstanding—knowledgeable and supportive—yet they give you the freedom to truly experience the adventure without feeling overly restricted. Customer service is top-notch, everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the entire experience feels both safe and exhilarating. From start to finish, it’s a perfect balance of adrenaline, natural beauty, and great people. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an amazing outdoor adventure that you’ll never forget!

Incredible WV experience, not to be missed! My wife and I have been trying for years to make this happen and so glad we did, and we absolutely lucked out with a perfect Fall day. This adventure with two guides - Steve and Brandon were great - is not for the faint of heart. The experience felt safe - don’t get me wrong. But the hiking and climbing had some moderately hard sections and overall fatigue was noticeable across the four hours hooked into the system. Lodging on site is affordable but bare bones. Few amenities on site so bring your own snacks, coffee, etc.

The via ferrata at nrocks was amazing!! It’s definitely inspired me to try more via ferrata routes in the future. The views are spectacular…you just gotta see them for yourself. Pictures don’t do them justice! I joined the trip as a solo woman and felt super comfortable as the other people in the group were great and our guides Brandon and Yav were wonderful. If you’re on the fence, do it!!! You’ll have the best time.

Our guide Anthony and the rest of the staff were fantastic! We started with a fast-paced walk/hike to the start of the Via Ferrata, definitely be ready for some adrenaline. It was my first time doing a Via Ferrata, and it got a bit scary and exposed at times, but the views made it totally worth it. The suspension bridge moves a lot! The hike down was also very fast paced and rocky, so watch your knees. The whole experience took about four hours, and the 3 PM tour was perfect since there was some shade. Also, the guest rooms are clean, small and have everything you need for an affordable price.

My family had a great time with the zip. Chris, Justin and Anthony were great! Went back on 9/1 for the via ferrata. Had a great time - our guide Andre was great getting us thru everything.

Via Ferrata was the amazing adventure I didn't know I wanted! Guides were super, Lola did a great job with our group and folks of varying capabilities. We were delayed by a thunderstorm, but they were able to accommodate us later in the day. Highly recommend, being on top of the spines (headwall) was spectacular.

Amazing experience! So well managed and everyone was super nice! Always felt safe and like I was in really good hands. SHOUT OUT TO OUR GUIDE LOLA!! At first we weren’t sure we’d be able to go because of thunder. But after a wait, we got to do the whole route, even though there was a bit of rain at the end. I 100% recommend going! Don’t wait to experience this seriously unique adventure. Best via ferrata I’ve ever done!

It is truly an exhilarating experience. Knowledgeable and friendly guides, excellent safety procedures and of course, spectacular views! I went and did the Canopy Tour on the first day and stayed in the lodge on site. My room in the lodge was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view from the porch, overlooking the mountains. I did the Via Ferrata the next day which was a fabulously unforgettable experience. If you enjoy the outdoors and always want to try climbing, I recommend this 100%!

What a great time. I'm sure not for everyone but if you are into adventure, hiking or guided climbing this might be your next bucket list item. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide was amazing and the views were wonderful. Look at the photos and you'll know if it's for you or not and if you're still not sure, they provided us exits from the main trail if we were unable to continue. So no excuses!

First time doing a Via Ferrata, and this experience was absolutely amazing! Our guides Brian and Lola were amazing, very helpful and made your safety a priority the entire way. The views were out of this world, and I cannot wait to come back and do this again! I also highly recommend staying in their cabins, as long as you have AWD or 4x4 vehicle. Thank you for the amazing time

NROCKS Via Ferrata is an incredible way to experience vertical adventure in a completely safe and controlled environment. You’re always clipped in, so as long as you follow the simple instructions, there’s no real danger—even for first-timers. What makes it truly special is that there’s no pressure to push your limits. It’s not about extreme climbing—just soak in the moment, move at your own pace, and take time to appreciate the stunning natural beauty around you. The views are absolutely breathtaking. While experienced climbers might find the route easy, the experience is still worth it for the scenery and the unique perspective. As long as you’re okay with heights and up for a bit of physical effort, this is an unforgettable adventure for just about anyone. Highly recommended!

If you are considering doing the Nelson Rocks via Ferrata, definitely do it. It is worth the trip, I traveled from NJ to just do it. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Unless you have irrational fear of heights you can do it.

???⛰️?️Via Ferrata of West Virginia was one of the most memorable adventures I've ever taken! Combined with flash flood rains the entire day, I was taken way out of my comfort zones many a times!!! A day for the core memory bank that I'll never forget! Our guides Hawaii Chris and Zia were beyond amazing. They took our safety as first priority, and they continually checked in and made you feel "comfortable" the entire adrenaline pumping time!! Thank you for such an epic adventure!!

Wow! What a great adventure:) the experience (especially for newbies) was challenging, but not overwhelming. Our guide Skylar made sure we were safe and the group stayed together. Make sure you have water and good pair of hiking boots/tennis shoes for grip. Did I mention the views?

This was an amazing experience. We went on July 13th. It was hot! Bring lots of water. The guides Chris and Zia where amazing this weekend! This was just a tad bit more challenging than expected. It's one of those things that you can't really explain what type of fitness level is needed but like they said it is pretty accessible. You do need to be able to lift your body weight up when needed. The guides are fully prepared to help you when you aren't able to help your self.

We had an amazing time doing this via ferrata! Thanks to Brian(sorry if spelled wrong) our guide!! We had a great group, wonderful conversation about birds plants and wildlife among other things. It was my first time climbing at all and he was so knowledgeable and made us all feel comfortable! Highly recommend!

I went in April, which afforded us the perfect weather (50s-60s). We did the via ferrata and the ziplines. Both were great fun, and we really liked our guides, Clay (via) and Bryan and Justin (ziplines). Via Ferrata: Not super challenging, but still really enjoyable. It's a linear course, so you can only go as fast as the slowest person. But it's not a course you want to race through, anyway. The views are spectacular throughout. The rope bridge is fun and secure. The only complaint I have is that the cable can get in the way when climbing, but this is only a minor annoyance. Ziplines: Doesn't have the long-range views of the via ferrata, but it's great being up in the forest canopy. Very safe, although it's a bit old-school. Specifically, the braking is achieved by a leather glove worn by the rider. You are in control, which is a different experience than I've had on newer courses. (No pictures from the ziplines. Sorry.)

Would call this the “Greatest Adventure You Can Do in West Virginia”. And that’s coming from someone who’s born and raised in the mountain state. Did the Via Ferrata and had a blast! A thrill from start to finish. Even if you have none or minimal climbing knowledge, you can do great on the course. Extremely safe as well! As a photographer, I was able to get incredible images and our guide, Clay put us in great spots for photography. Cannot wait to go back!

First time for me, it was super fun, we had more than 10 people in our group, anywhere from young adults to 50-60y old, we had 2-3 breaks which were efficient and sweet. Our guides were professional and spot-on. The whole course was “appropriately challenged” for anyone with moderate fitness. Definitely recommend, personally I will bring my kids back when they meet their age requirement. Last but not the least, the fall in my opinion is the BEST season!

An incredible challenging exhilarating experience! Not for the faint of heart but also you can do it! You need to be willing to challenge yourself and have a healthy respect for heights but try it. The views are amazing. The bridge is the best or worst part! Took our group 4.5 hours so plan accordingly but go!! Enjoy

We did via ferrata which was so fun! If you are a rock climber, this will be easy but still very enjoyable. If you are curious about rock climbing, this is a great way to get a taste. If you are not curious about rock climbing but want a little thrill in your life, this is also a great place. Tips: If you are coming over holiday weekend, book ahead! If everything is booked, give them a call, they might have a last minute cancellation Plan about 5-6 hours If you prefer using your helmet and harness, ask, they might let you. Our guide was Amanda and Alex, both were chill and very informative at the same time.

Climbing NRocks was the bomb! Our guide was informative, well trained and very friendly. Our journey took four hours with plenty of stops along the way. The views were spectacular. The climb was safe as long as you followed instructions. Was somewhat difficult in some sections but if you are not afraid of heights and are in decent shape you will be successful.Well worth the $132! I tipped our guide $20 as it was well deserved. DO IT! You won't be sorry!!

Had a great time climbing the Via Ferrata today. Ended up just being me and the guide Clay. The others that were scheduled canceled due to the weather (temps in the upper 30's with 10 to 20 mph winds). Dressing in layers with the physical activity kept me plenty warm enough. We had some snow flurries and some sleet but I'm glad I didn't cancel, I had a blast. This was my first ever rock climbing of any kind, I'm 6 feet, 160 lbs., 41 yrs. old and handled it just fine, didn't have any problems at all. Clay was super helpful and explained everything clearly and was kind enough to use my phone and take some pictures for me. I'm a native West Virginian and this is one of my favorite parts of the state. The views from on top of the rocks were not as good as they could have been due to the snow in the distance. I will definitely be going back in warmer weather to get some better views and will be requesting Clay for my guide.

I could not have asked for a better experience. The climb itself was way more than I expected, both in terms of excitement and scenery. I felt completely safe the entire time. I would 100% recommend this to anyone traveling through West Virginia who is looking for a little adventure! Photos by myself: @PrettylilTraveler

Crazy fun and challenging Via Ferrata adventure with several family members between 13 to 51 years old…we all had a great time. Our guide Mark was very helpful in some spots where I got stuck (harder for short people) or was feeling anxious. Spectacular scenery and while it can feel very scary, if you follow directions you’re always clipped in and are safe. Crazy suspension bridge was making me nervous but it was still super cool!

What can you say about this place other than its an experience you'll never forget! As beautiful as the view is from the bottom, nothing beats the view from the top! Amanda was our guide and she was top notch. Very friendly, knowledgeable and even kind enough to take photos! Don't pass this experience up if you have the opportunity. I will say, if the fear of heights is a problem for you, they won't be solved here lol. And if you have the energy after your climb, you should suggest going to the summit. It's not always available due to time and the size of your group, but it's definitely worthwhile.
