Eric was great! Very friendly and helped me with all my stuff I had packed in my car my trip as well as towing my car disable with a flat tire. He ot e to a hotel then dropped my car off.
Be aware of them , They literally charge you more than what it has to be , try to find other companies because this place is just bad and after they dropped your vehicle you going to surprise with the stupid rate that they charge it’s insane
I see a pattern to these ratings. U either love them or hate them. Lol. Well I been driving 30 yrs tractor and trl. And never had a trl break in half. But when u carrier max loads and they r loaded heavy on one side. It can happen. Joe the owner, a great guy and Brandy a go getter, and will to help with anything. As well as all the other guys and girls. Are great. Sorry for everyone that had a bad experience. Had loads of help and fast at their job. Has all the necessary equipment for the job and the knowledge to get it done. The most kind people you could ever want to meet. A true example of West Virginia hospitality. Thanks for the lunch and all the hard work. I just can't say enough. If you are not using them. Then u truly don't have the best. If they r busy. Please be patient because they r probably trying to help others in need also. Love you guys and thanks again.
I want to start off by seeing a trend on these reviews. This company is just as trashy as they were twenty years ago. They will lie to you and your insurance company. Like actually lie with zero remorse. We were stranded without service in the middle of nowhere on Hinkle hill in richwood. We luckily got a ride out because we had zero phone service. When we got to phone service we called and communicated multiple times and at first were told they were running late. Then twenty minutes away. At that point we had service but they did not communicate despite us calling aaa and jnj several times. They told triple a our truck was delivered. It wasn’t picked up. Then they tried to say we had to be with the vehicle despite aaa getting all our info for person less pickup. THEY CONTINUED TO LIE TO TRIPLE A. Then tried to say they refused pickup because we got smart with them? It wasn’t true. They do not pick up at night DESPITE taking the pickup at 5pm. I guess they saw our Colorado license plate, ( were born and raised here)like many other out of state drivers who have written reviews, and decided to just duck us over. We’re from here and I just of known better because they gave me the run around twenty years ago. They’re rude and unprofessional. Not to mention they lied and pretended they picked the truck up and didn’t know where it was. Now my truck is being picked up from a company from out of town. Hopefully I still have my tires and it hasn’t been vandalized sitting in richwood unattended with my keys. This company is known for being trash. Nothing has changed in twenty years. Just don’t bother.
I just want to publicly State how much I appreciate these guys. To make a long story short, I got my full size School bus stuck in my front yard on a very sharp incline. These guys were quick to get out there with their heavy duty wrecker and get my bus free. On top of getting my bus free, they also kept me calm the entire time as my heart was literally jumping out of my chest. If you want to listen to someone's recommendation, listen to mine. I was working out of town and my car broke down at the super 8 in Summersville, WV. I called and it took the tow truck 20 minutes to get there and hook my car up. It took a hour and a half to get to the bmw dealership in st. Albans. They charge 102.00 an hour and the trip took 1.5 hrs to get there. They charge until the driver returns to their shop. So for a 3.5 hour trip at 102.00 per hour it should have cost 357.00, 400.00 at most and I got charged $684.41 almost a 300.00 dollar overcharge. When I called to inquire the owner was rude and didn't care that he overcharged me. This place is a rip off. I will never use them again.
The people in the office and the gentleman out in the yard were very helpful and easy to deal with. My stepdaughter's car broke down in the area. I wasn't able to go there since I drive truck. They showed up and towed and stored it for me until I could come get it. We even talked about them doing some work on it but they declined due to some other situational circumstances. They could have easily just did some stuff and took my money but said no instead. I'd use them again if I'm in the area and in need.
I would give zero if I could. We were traveling from out of state and blew a wheel bearing on our camper. Called at 9:30 in the morning to see about having it towed to a dealership on a rollback. They said he would come to us and fix it where it sat. He had to get a load of sand and then would get to us. I called them back at 11:30 for an update. He was dropping the sand and heading for us. Called again at 1:30. He had a car break down in the middle of the road and would be right there after he dropped them off. At 4:30, after sitting in a parking lot for 6+ hours, we made other arrangements. They finally called at 5:00 to say they weren't going to make it. Definitely do not recommend!
This week we broke down on rt 19 on our way home to Buffalo not once, but twice. Brandy picked us up both times. The first time she asked if we had a place we wanted to get towed. Told her a local place I found, and she said she didn't feel comfortable taking my family there, so she recommended another place that took great care of us. She also made sure that the shop would get us to a hotel should we need it. I highly recommend this place. They are professional, quick, and friendly. Brandy is definitely an asset to the company.
Call for tow. "Okay, be there in 45 mins to an hour". Hour later call back. "OH he's dropping off a car now. He should be there in 30 mins". Another hour later I called again. "He hasn't left the yard yet" and the price is $100.00 more than our competitor. "He should be leaving the yard in 30 mins .I will have the driver call you when he is headed towards you." 45 mins later Jimmy calls. I told Jimmy "No need I have just called another company " You can decide to call them for a tow. I NEVER WILL AGAIN!!
We had the unfortunate need of their service. They were quick to arrive and worked diligently to get us out of the mud on the side of the road. They were courteous and professional and made sure no damage to the motor home. If you ever need quick assistance, contact this company. Highly recommended!
J&J Towing is a wonderful company...I was recently in a wreck away from home. My vehicle was not drivable and needed to be towed to coastal north carolina. They took care of everything. They are an exemplary and experienced towing company and Ashley was terrific to work with. Highly recommended them.
Our car broke down on the highway (Mom and two teenage daughters), and we used AAA to help us find a towing company to come to our location. We truly appreciated the efficiency and kindness J &J Body/Frame & Towing, Inc. showed us. They made our situation much more manageable! Dispatch was kind and kept in communication with us. Belt came off truck I just bought. Two hours from home, a tow driver from my home area recommended them. Could ask for better service or friendlier people. Towed my truck in and fixed it, very reasonably priced
The best wrecker service in the whole surrounding area. Very nice and professional. Very respectful with your vehicle. They also will beat everybody else's prices. Hopefully you'll not need a towing service but if you do, don't hesitate use J & J's
I will never use this business again. They overcharge and lie about the time spent in a tow it cost us 356.62 for a tow from craigsville to Summersville not only that but the lady called me at 11:02 to tell me the guy was getting ready to leave but he put on the paper he left at 10:40 I have the call logs to prove it..so if I were you I'd call anyone else.

Very friendly staff.They towed my truck 35 or 40 miles and pulled my over size load to a truckstop on my route so no back tracking????all in a snow storm!!!! plus Joe the owner gave me and my wife a ride and bought us lunch!!! Very reasonable price I thought. They really took care of us.Thanks
If you need help and are looking for a service willing to go the extra mile-go to J & J! They drove two hours in heavy snow not once but twice over two days to jump my car and install a battery. My vehicle is at Snowshoe, and with no cell reception the truck driver couldn’t find my location. I called again the next say and they were happy to try again despite having drive 4-5 hours the day before. Further, as the closest auto parts store here is 45 minutes away in Marlinton, I asked if they could bring and install a battery at cost, which they were happy to do. Simply fantastic!!!!!
This place after finding my car after a year told me I could not get it back without paying over $2,000.00 in towing fees and it only being in the place for 13 days also on top of that had I been notified that it was found I would have came and retrieved it myself with a tow company. I don't think this is right and furthermore, that vehicle was used to transport elderly and disabled individuals to and from there appointments including my mother who has M.S. this is outrageous and I will be in contact with a couple lawyers and governors office about this....
I see a lot of people leaving negative reviews about the cost of fees, well first off people this is a business. Second there are storage fees etc associated with keeping the vehicle on their property. It’s always told to you up front about the storage fees. I know I was told.
I’ve had the pleasure of using J&J. I respect the owner and the employees there. Their very knowledge and very reliable.

The man at the register was extremely rude, but he did lose his attitude a bit towards the end of my visit. He kept ignoring me and finally snapped at me to just send my online version of my registration to his phone. They refuse to give you your vehicle, even if you pay, if you don’t have your license, insurance, and registration. As for my car, he yelled to one of the employees “well we’re losing the car” in a tone that seemed like they had intended to keep my beautiful challenger for themselves. When I got to my car, it was parked in a salvage yard with a bunch of destroyed vehicles, and they parked it in the mud, so I almost got stuck when I went to pull out; my boyfriend had to get behind and push it. I had to pay $250 to get it out when it wasn’t even there for a full 24 hours, and upon receiving my car, the front bumper was damaged, and now something is terribly loose in my front end to the point it sounds like the entire front passenger wheel is going to fall right off.
Thanks to Brad going above and beyond to help us get back on the road after a double blowout, we were able to get out daughter moved this weekend. Professional and kind! Thanks so much!
Horrible customer service. I was put off for more than a week and told I would be called back and never was , I had to keep calling them for something they told me they were gonna do and never was, I had to cancel plans to wait for these people to call me back . all it would have took to satisfy me was doing what they said they would do . I did call them annoyed the last time and got hung up on. It's a shame that people care so little about how they treat people and there own business.
