We had roadside assistance tow my girlfriend’s car here after her transmission went out. She talked to them the next morning and said she didn’t want to put any money into it since it wasn’t worth much. After they looked at it, they told her she could sign the title over to them to waive “checkout fees” of $100.
I went in person to argue that we never agreed to pay $100 for their fees. They couldn’t give me a straight answer about what the $100 was for, other than that they had to roll it into the shop to look at it and that it had blocked a dumpster. They also admitted they never told her what the charge would be because she “didn’t ask.”
When I asked what “work” had been done that was worth $100, they immediately threatened to call the cops on me and kicked me out so they could talk to my girlfriend alone. I never even got the chance to ask why the car was only valued at $100 when we already had a $200 offer elsewhere that included free pickup.
It was an insulting experience dealing with the staff and a frustrating way to lose out on some money.
Called them randomly for a tow @ 8:30pm on a Sunday night. The answering service lady wasn't super "helpful" but she was efficient... gave them my info and location of the vehicle. Mr. Russel called me within 20 mins and had the car picked up within 15 mins! He was kind, helpful, and reassuring! Plus he explained the process and what to expect in the morning! I'm extremely grateful for the prompt and efficient service.
I hope that the rhetoric from the actual auto repair shop is equally as compassionate and competent tomorrow morning! Not to mention economically friendly.
Excellent service and very friendly! I took my car here because I thought I needed a bushing replaced. They told me it looked fine and explained why it might have looked bad when I had the tire off. They could have replaced it and charged me, but they didn't. I also wanted the alignment done, so they drove it downtown to their other location, did it, and drove it back. 10/10!!
Towed my car from a guest spot at my friends apartment. Asked if I could atleast get my apartment keys out of it because I wasn’t wanting to pay that night but they said it was $50 just to get my apartment keys out of the car. I came to pick it up maybe an hour after they towed it and it cost $293.
Waited 2 hours for them to respond to a emergency roadside assistance call. With no heat at 39 degrees. They never showed up so I had to finally get help elsewhere. They never even called me. They were located 15 minutes from where I was stranded.
