This company completely destroyed my Audi. Avoid them at all costs, especially if you drive an AWD vehicle. My car was running perfectly fine before they towed it, and when I went to go pick it up, it wouldn’t even start. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to convince me that it was just low on oil (which would never cause a car not to start). They even pressured me into buying oil from them, which did absolutely nothing. To make matters worse, they abandoned me on their lot and refused to help any further. I had to call a different towing company just to get my car off their property. This was not only unprofessional but also downright negligent. If you value your car, your time, and your money, stay far away from this company.

They illegal tow at parking complex and then scam and charge a dolly fee even when I watched them not dolly the car while towing

⭐ 1 Star – Would Not Recommend Ervin’s Towing was involved after we hit a deer on I-79 North around 6 PM on a Thursday. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. Lack of Communication They towed our vehicle without providing any business card or information about their company. I was in the ambulance with my child, and my husband was coordinating with insurance. Despite my husband instructing them to tow the vehicle to Moses Toyota, they took it to their lot instead, which conveniently racks up storage fees. When I tried to find my vehicle, I had no idea where it was and had to resort to Google searches and calling around before locating it. Simple communication upfront would have saved so much time and stress. Inconsistent Reasons for Towing to Their Lot The reasons given for towing to their lot instead of Moses Toyota varied: Payment Concerns: They claimed they needed to determine who would pay the bill, yet no one asked my husband about this when he spoke with them. There was never a bill generated at this time and would have been happy to make arrangements. Driver Claim: The driver said we left with the officer before he could get our information—but the vehicle was gone before we even realized how we’d get home. After-Hours Policy: They said they don’t deliver vehicles to other locations after hours. Emergencies don’t happen on a 9-to-5 schedule, and this policy is incredibly inconvenient. Tell wildlife to remain off the roadways during day light hours!! Collision Center Disappointment Our vehicle, a 2018 Toyota 4Runner with 70,000 miles and new tires, was in great condition before the accident ( valuation of 33k). Due to airbag deployment, the collision center immediately suggested junking it. While I understand it might be totaled, I wanted Moses Toyota to provide a proper estimate and explore repair options ( that is where we purchased the vehicle and have worked with them on multiple occasions). Ervin’s seemed more focused on writing it off than giving us a chance to save the vehicle. Shout out to Moses Toyota for their impeccable service ( Ed in the collision center and Gary the salesman ( we subsequently purchased another 4Runner). Suggestions for Improvement This experience could have been much better with basic changes: Provide contact information to customers at the time of service. Use an intake form to clarify destination, billing, and other key details. Improve communication and customer service. Final Thoughts I wouldn’t recommend Ervin’s Towing or their collision center. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and questionable policies made an already stressful situation much worse.

I had a guest parked in Guest Parking, and they towed her car. The photos they took don’t show any evidence that she wasn’t parked in guest, despite them saying she was parked outside of guest. They towed her car without reason and charged us over $200 just to get the car. We also had to wait over an hour to get the car back. Coincidentally, another car pulled up for the same reason; their guests car was towed despite being in guest parking as well. This company is full of scam artists and people making a buck off of others misfortune, but I wouldn’t expect anything different from a company that will willingly tow a hospital van as well. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

I got towed my fault for parking in a lot. I shouldn’t, the bfs in front of the magistrate court. However, I was gonna go to cartridge galore when I paid my ticket at the court. I was in there for 10 minutes and my car was towed, my fault. However, when I came out and talked to the man, sure I was a little rude, but that doesn’t give parking lot detective the right to cuss and use slurs at someone.

The Dispatcher Donna made my life 1000x better. I having one of my worse days just being out the Marine Corps and having car and life trouble. She did more than I could have ask. Thank you

Everyone is upset when your car gets towed, but from a completely unbiased opinion, do not go through ervins. From getting hung up on by Lou for his own confusion, to mismanagement, confusion, this is not the place you want to be!!! This company is very hard to work with and very rude.I wish there was an option for negative stars.Even when being polite you will still be blatantly disrespected. With this though i would like to say there are a few people who are friendly who work at the establishment, but unfortunately, those aren’t the people you get to deal with.

The worst service ever. Needed my tire taken off, was told $65, they tried to extort me for double the price upon arrival and then called the cops on me when I said I wouldn’t pay it claiming I was drunk. Cops left bc I wasn’t. Decided to call another service. What garbage thieves they are. If I could post a lower rating I would.

we were parked in an unmarked lot that was told to us was guest parking (uclub sunnyside) towed car, no message, no way of contact when they towed the car. called the business owner, was told to call ervin’s. called ervin’s was told to call the business owner. CALLED THE COPS, was told to call business owner or tow company. were told we can get the car, but it’s $350. finally got an uber to the location (after hours btw and we were told we could get the car) no one is here. called them AGAIN and was told ‘someone’ is 15 mins away. it’s cold, this part of town as three 20 yr olds is terrifying, and ALL of our belongings for the weekend (we live in central PA) are here on the dirty ground. it’s been 30 mins now and no one is here still. also the SUN IS SETTING AND it’s ONE MAN we have to deal with.

Friendly and helpful service. My car broke down on the way home to New Jersey and we ended up at Ervins. We got there after the shop closed so we found a hotel for the night but they had identified and fixed the problem for a reasonable price before we had to check out the next day.

We were misquoted after telling them where we were towed from and the type of car we had. After arriving there was an extra charge for the weight of our car, an extra charge for the location, and a 4% service fee for using a card.

Had a single tire put on, and when I got home, I noticed it was put on wrong because it was a directional tire. So I called few days later around 10am when I was in town for work and was told it wouldn't be a problem and to bring it in when I got off work and they would fix it. When I got there, I checked in with the office and was told that the guys in the shop were aware of the situation and to let the guys know that I was there. I was told by one guy in the shop it would be a good while before they got to it (with a bit of an attitude). They did not seem busy, they were just standing around a vehicle they had just brought in talking. So I just left. I feel if you mess something up like that, that you would want to fix it immediately.

Very quick to respond when I locked my keys in my car. Operator and driver both were kind and professional. Cost to unlock my car was very very reasonable. If need be, I’ll definitely call them again

AAA should definitely reconsider contracting with this company. Never showed up and then claimed “they picked up the vehicle” which we were still sitting in it! Anything for a paycheck!? Obviously by the other reviews, the lack of professionalism is consistent.

Canadians stuck at WV welcome centre when car stopped running. AAA sent them. Driver was awesome, and helped us to repack the trunk after we had to empty it out to get tow hook out if storage area, when we said don’t help, he said “it is my job to help”. Arrived promptly, was very likeable, towed us to dealership close by. Stopped dead by squirrel filling up throttle body with chewed up air filter. Erwin’s saved our vacation on day 1, many thanks. Driver was just awesome.

This is the laziest towing company I’ve ever dealt with. My car was in plain sight on the side of the interstate and instead of the driver doing their job, they rode past the car and said they didn’t see it. They also said they called multiple times, but they never did. They even confirmed my phone number to be correct and proceeded to lie and say they called. Do not waste time or money dealing with this company.

Terrible. After my car slid off an icy road, Ervin’s was called to put it back on the road. Instead of putting it back on the road, Bobby from Ervin’s snapped the steering then left in a hurry. He left TWO WOMEN and FOUR DOGS on the side of the road in the hills of West Virginia. After the incident, Ervin’s stopped answering the phones. I spoke with several tow companies (and police) in the area the night of this incident and they were not surprised by Ervin’s actions. Stay away!

Left my boyfriend in the middle of the road during a snowstorm after he nearly slid off the side of a hill. Refused to even tow the car, only pulled it back onto the road and noting it had a bent axle. Forcing my boyfriend to drive his broken vehicle himself to get the car off the road. They didn’t offer him a ride to his house—literally 2 miles away—and left him with no one around during a SNOWSTORM. If he had frozen to death trying to walk home don’t think I’d not be going after this business for literally everything they have. How dare you leave a person who has just been in an accident—sore, bruised and shaken up asking for help and you didn’t even do the bare minimum. No wonder you have a low review score on here and have facebook reviews turned off!!! I hope after we are done making some calls that AAA drops you from their list of towing companies because we don’t pay for the service to be treated like this. Not even going to say do better, because if this is your mindset towards others you don’t deserve this business at all.

They nickel and dime you to death!!! There was a storage fee while my car was there for them to look at it. I guess they can hold it until they feel like looking at it and then charge you a storage fee for every day that it is there. Then it cost over $100 for them to put a meter on it to throw a code and tell what’s wrong! They charge you an entire hour worth of labor to even look at it (or for the meter to throw a code). Horrible business practices and out to rip of the college student that doesn’t have a lot of money anyways. Then to boot, they weren’t even correct on what was wrong! Tried to tell me I needed a whole new engine when it was the alternator that needed replaced. They are money hungry and try to fool you into paying for things that are t even wrong with your car. Stay far away from this place!!!!

I slid off the road due to ice, and while I was fine, my car was in a deep ditch. Ervin's had my vehicle out of the ditch within 5 minutes of showing up and were extremely kind. I highly recommend Ervins. Reading the more negative reviews, most of them seem to be from people who had their vehicles towed from places they weren't supposed to be for one reason or another. That will obviously be a negative emotional experience. From what was a scary experience for me, Ervin's actually made it much better.

Do not trust these crooks !! All they want is your money .. total scammers and liars. They had the opportunity to step up and help but stood there doing nothing looking for cash ..these guys wasted so much of it time . We drove down two times 8 hrs from Toronto and they lied about a police investigation when there was not one . All they wanted was the insurance payment for the tow on a trailer . I offered to give them the money to allow us to open this burnt trailer to try and save as much as we could . Because if this all our belongings sat in the burnt trailer for almost 2 weeks when we could have saved far more. These guys come across as “nice “ guys but in the end .:: cash cash cash is all they want .: don’t trust them ..:

The public service commission states a car under 7500 lbs can not be charged more than $70 per hour, or $4 a mile. I had 2 of my friends cars towed to the tow yard, which is 1.6 miles away and was charged $300.76. Beyond excited to involve lawyers to get these crooks out of Morgantown :) Imagine being so unethical that you try to scam broke and in debt college students.

My landlord has instructed us to call Ervin's if there are any cars without displayed parking passes in our parking spot that we pay for. I waited 2.5 hours before I gave up waiting as it was 1 am at this point. I had called twice in that time and each time I was told someone had been dispatched and was on their way. The car was still there the next day so I called again and got the same response, someone was dispatched and was on the way. The car was never towed. The service is terrible to say the least.

Very timely and courteous service! We broke down on a bridge on I-68. Kevin towed us to a safer location where we could discuss our options. When we decided to have his company work on the car, they had it fixed and ready to go early the next day. Highly recommended!

If I could give a negative review, I would. Ervin’s towed my daughters vehicle while staying with a friend without the apartment managements request to do so. There was no report to the police that it was towed. AND. When we call the Ervin’s number we were told MULTIPLE times that they did NOT have the vehicle. The kind police officer encouraged my daughter to drive over to the lot to see if they had it as Ervin’s is known to tow cars with no report to police or the owners of the parking lot and will often deny they have the vehicle. That was the case in this situation. They have the car and are charging an extra fee to get the car back on a Sunday. SCUM of the earth.

worst experience i have EVER had with a business. they towed my car from my own apartment building that i paid to park at for the entire year. their agreement with my landlord expired a month ago and they still towed multiple residents. customer service people on the phone were extremely inconsiderate and the guy who opened the gate for me to get my car was even worse. told him the truth, which was that my boyfriend missed his airport bus departure because of the tow which resulted in us dropping $700 on ubers and an emergency plane ticket. the guy stared at me and said “well we have an agreement with them starting up again in the school year” which means absolutely nothing. they didn’t even apologize for their mistake and they certainly didn’t make any measures to make it right. would rate it -100 stars if i could.

We were out around town one afternoon when our van door refused to close. We called around and finally landed on the line with Ervin's. We were told to come right in, no appointment necessary and were given directions. Upon pulling up we were directed to pull in the bay. Before the wonderful woman in the office could even get our information, the mechanic had fixed the problem, and we were told no charge for the 30 seconds of labor, as well as shown what went wrong, and should it again, how to quickly fix it! Absolutely wonderful customer service! Would highly recommend for any and all automotive repair as well as will definitely be returning with any work we need done! Ten star company!

Well I broke down here and thank goodness they had my car finished by the next business day. No issues with my car since. Fast and reasonable on the price.

Absolutely terrible service and receptionist is a total ravenous witch to anyone who doesn't want to give her money. I was towed from my parking spot at my apartment by THEIR MISTAKE because the receptionist incorrectly relayed that spot #23 needed towed instead of the correct #25. My parking permit was clearly displayed and it matched my parking spot number, but they checked neither of those before towing. I woke up to take an 8am midterm exam to find my car gone from it's assigned spot and had to run to make it to my exam LATE via PRT with no idea where my car was while I was taking my exam. The company argued with my apartment manager and mother that they towed the correct car and refused to let me have my car back until after 3+ hours of bickering and providing proof to them that the FORD SUPER DUTY TRUCK that they were dispatched to get was still in the spot it needed moved from and that I, a HONDA CIVIC was parked where I should have been. How they confused the description of a green Ford Super Duty truck and my blue Honda Civic I will never know. The receptionist told my mother that it was "none of her business" as to why my car was towed at all and told her that it was MY fault the car was towed because I had parked badly and that we needed to pay if I wanted my car back. When I picked up my car the receptionist told me "you can have your car back now its down there" and said nothing else. OH THANK YOU! So glad they did me that huge favor of dragging my car off and forcing me to nearly miss a midterm exam and to miss an entire day's wages because I had no way to get to work, only to allow me to get my car back from them. I have received ZERO apologies nor basic manners from them even though they towed and scraped up my car. I couldn't recommend them less if I tried and I don't recommend going there for anything until they get a new dragon guarding the front desk and update their policies to ask for license plate numbers of vehicles they need to tow. Whoever Rick is would be the only redeeming quality of the place, he sorted out my car ordeal (in a timely 3 hours after inquiry). 0/10 never ever ever go there and my prayers are with you if you ever get towed by them.
