My wife and I rented "Almost Heaven" cabin. While we were on the road we received a call that the cabin had a broke water pipe and was not useable. It happens...They upgraded us to "Valley View", which was very nice. West Virginia weather did not cooperate and we got a lot of unexpected snowfall. So, naturally our car was stuck. Went up to the office and asked for help and about an hour later, our rescuers arrived!! Gino and Dale...aka Croc! We cant thank you enough for your help towing our little Nissan back up to the road. Definitely recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the Marathon cabin and we had an incredible time. The cabin was wonderful, the hot tub was amazing, and the people there were so friendly. The cabin was stocked with lots of commodities, and Andrea in the office was so helpful for the few things we needed. It was such a beautifully romantic getaway, and an amazing deal for the price. We will absolutely be coming back!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Holly Rock Treehouse for our anniversary! What a unique and romantic place to celebrate! The treehouse is in a perfect location in a corner of the property where you can enjoy your hot tub, porch, and treehouse privately; while also being just a few minutes from the lobby if you need anything. The other cabins we saw as we drove through the property also look incredibile! The staff was so helpful, friendly, and communicative through our stay, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and had the perfect anniversary! The romantic and birthday packages they offer are top notch, and they’ll have everything set up for you upon arrival! Also the property is just a few minutes away from Fayetteville and New River Gorge National Park! An incredible stay, we are already looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful two nights in the Laurel cabin. It was clean, easy to find and staff went above and beyond.

Had the best time staying over the weekend. The cabin and service were amazing and could not have been better. I can't wait to visit again and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!

I absolutely LOVED my time here. I stayed in the Tropical Sun glamping tent. It had heat, a hot tub, and a nice little kitchenette to do small meals in. It was close to the towns and the New River and Gauley River, and the whole property was extremely well maintained. They also have 24/7 maintenance as needed. They also had little things like a space heater for the bathroom, and a hair dryer under the sink (in case you don't want to lug yours with you!). They leave a list of things to do, and check out is very easy once your stay is complete. I will definitely book here for future stays!

What a treasure it was to find such a convenient, clean, and beautiful place to stay while enjoying the New River Gorge area. Modern facilities with a rustic decor was perfect for our preferences. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

This is a rare find. The property is well maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Black Bear cabin. This had a nice mountain view and is secluded. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was very relaxing in the hot tub after your full day of activities. Close to New River Gorge Bridge, Hawks Nest and Babcock state parks.

First of we loved having the actual tree inside the treehouse. The treehouse was clean. We had great timely service. The private hot tub was also clean and wonderful. Morning coffee on the private deck with deer watching was amazing. It was very quiet. Highly recommend

My wife and I were in Ansted West Virginia to visit her family and we wanted a nearby place to stay for the night. We asked some locals for advice and they said to try this place. I called, got a cabin booked for the night and we had a wonderful stay. We would have loved to stay longer but I needed to be back to work the next day. Our cabin was clean, well decorated and very comfortable. It had a private jacuzzi and a kitchenette. It was perfect. Well worth the price and only a short drive to the grocery store for supplies to cook.

From the very first phone call to our final check out, everything about this place was great! The people working there truly cared about our time spent there. Our cabin (Mountaineer) was exactly as advertised - in fact, it was even better! Clean, comfortable, cozy & quiet. Absolutely no complaints. Plenty of towels, hot water for showers. Ideal setup for 2 couples traveling together or families. They welcomed our pup. Did we mention how nice everyone was?? The grounds were pretty, well maintained and serene for taking a walk. Very convenient to New River Gorge National Park which was beautiful! Highly recommend this place!!

We found Country Roads Cabins to be a wonderful place to stay. The location was very convenient to the area attractions. The staff was very helpful in giving suggestions on what to see and do as well as recommending great places to eat. Our cabin was very clean, the property is extremely well maintained, furniture in excellent shape, and the setting is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed a campfire in the fire pit by our cabin, the staff delivered the wood while we were out exploring. We can recommend Country Roads Cabins without reservation, if you stay you will not be disappointed.

NO COMPLAINTS! Me and my husband stayed in the geodome for our first trip to WV and it was one of our favorite trips to date. The geodome was beautiful, the deck against the woods was so quiet and peaceful, the hot tub was private and relaxing. Some bugs got in the tent but being in the middle of the woods.. you can’t expect them to stay outside the whole time. Fireplace helped on the chilly nights and mornings. The AC unit was great for when it was hot out. Bathroom was a good size and clean. The location of the cabins was perfect. Everywhere we wanted to go was within 15/20min. We didn’t need assistance for any problems but when we did speak to the manager/employees they were all amazing and helpful. I ordered a romance package for our anniversary and the rose pedal set up, steak dinner and champagne made our night. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back again !

Breathtaking property with beautifully appointed cabins/glamping/treehouses. We stayed in the Holly Rock Treehouse, which was worth every penny. A true treehouse complete with cabled bridge to get there. Every detail had been well thought out and the treehouse was so romantic! And spotlessly clean! Enjoyed the hot tub and ate dinner on the patio at the little table overlooking the woods. One of the best places we have stayed in our years of traveling!

Perfectly situated cabin, secluded out in the countryside located about 10 minutes from the main overlook/visitor center of New River Gorge NP. Very clean and comfortable. Much enjoyed using the fantastic hot tub on the back porch to relax. Great stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the moonshine cabin. This is a very well organized Yurt that is beautiful inside. Full kitchen and a hot tub outside on an amazing deck. Nestled nicely in the woods with full privacy. The only small drawback is there is very faint hum of road noise in the distance. Honestly didn’t notice it until my late night bathroom run. Staff was so helpful and the place is immaculate. Certainly will come back!

Spent three nights in a two-bedroom sleeps-six cabin with my wife and three teenagers. Everything was perfect, super clean, plenty of space for eating/games/tv, and the kitchen had everything you would want. All this luxury hidden in the woods. Our cabin was over .6 miles from the rode, and the cabins were spaced out enough that you didn't see another soul. Great sleeping arangement, as their was effectively a third bedroom with a bunkbed in the upstairs loft. Two bathrooms, both of which were accessible from a bedroom or from the common area. Also, there was a hot tub. We were in the "Lost Paddle" cabin, and it was perfect for our family.

Black Bear Cabin. It wasn't in the actual campground, which was ok, but a little disappointing. Privacy was nice though. The cabin is obviously very new and well appointed and spacious. The bunk beds are gone and replaced with two twins, which made us change sleeping plans, but we used the sofa. Yard is spacious with a crude firepit. Wifi and Cable were spotty with occasional long outages thankfully we weren't there to work. Hot tub on the back deck was very nice and we were in it often. I wish there was a skylight over it instead of the porch so you could see the stars. Needs a few more chairs inside and out. Kitchen is well stocked with the necessities, although one more pot would be appreciated. The driveway is a beast. Very steep. Seems to get washed out and rutted easily. Just don't stop on the way up or you are going back down. Close to everything, but far enough away it does seem like you are away from it all. I know this just seems like a list of complaints but we had an absolutely fantastic time and loved our time at Black Bear, just a few small minor changes would have made it better, and we'll absolutely be back.

We booked three cabins for a work trip—one for each teammate to have their own bed. That was the plan, anyway. When we arrived, one cabin was missing a bed entirely. The “solution” was an air mattress, which, let’s just say, wasn’t exactly the stuff of restful dreams. Then came the scents. Two of the three cabins had… personality. One reeked of propane, the other of something far less pleasant—like a rodent who’d moved in permanently but not in a living capacity. The third cabin was the fresh-air winner, but the dishwasher there was out of commission, and our group picked up an uninvited four-legged roommate (alive, very much mobile). On the plus side, the kitchens and bathrooms were stocked with the basics, the A/C worked well, and the showers ran hot. We didn’t need heat, which was lucky—because there was no firewood. The grills? No propane either—thankfully, we had brought our own. Bottom line: the cabins are fine if you arrive prepared. Think “camping with walls” rather than an “everything-you-need” getaway. Bring supplies, a sense of humor… and maybe a mousetrap.

The cabin was clean and well stocked and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was simple to drive up and stay awhile without a lot of extra work. If we ever come to WV again, we would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is immaculately clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located very close to our whitewater rafting trip company, within a mile. It is very quiet, except for a steady flow of gazers checking the places out on Saturday, during the day. We were in the Appalachian and it was perfect. Plenty of amenities and a shortage of nothing. Practically perfect! We will be returning to this perfect sleeping and relaxing spot between river and hiking adventures!

We stayed in the Safari Sun glamping tent. It exceeded our expectations! The tent was lovely and spotlessly clean. Private hot tub. Full bathroom with shower. Nice deck and fire pit. The grill was prepped and clean and covered in foil. Ready for us to cook dinner as soon as we arrived. Plates and silverware provided. Several strong thunderstorms came through during our stay. Not a single drop of water got into the tent and it was dreamy to lay in bed watching the lightning shine through the canvas. We had a great stay and would absolutely visit again. Thank you!

This is hands down the best place to stay in WV. The cabin was absolutely immaculate and so cute inside. There was everything we needed and more. The cabin felt private but not isolated, and the check in process was suuuuper easy. Absolutely loved it here, would stay again!!!

This is a beautiful area to stay in a cabin or go clamping! We had a family reunion this past weekend, and the cabin we rented was perfect. Very comfortable, plenty of room for all, great views and the staff were so helpful and accomodating. I received a thank you email after we left. I would definitely come back to stay!

Quaint, quiet, clean, cozy cabin. Check-in and checkout was easy. The office staff were very friendly and happy to share local restaurant and activity recommendations. Well stocked essentials. Great water pressure in the showers. We stayed in the Appalachian.

This place really goes all out. We bought the food package for the weekend and it was worth every penny came with steaks, baked potatoes, veggies, breakfast food, and a picnic basket full of stuff to go spend the day in the woods with your family or significant other. Plus other details that might not seem so obvious like milk, butter, and the things you actually need to prep the meals. Staff were very friendly and the location is very peaceful and clean. Definitely will return!

I just had the most magical winter week at Country Road Cabins! My cabin had a cozy fire in the fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen, a hot tub on a covered deck, plus I was close to fabulous attractions like the famous Bridge Walk under the New River Gorge bridge! I attended a dinner with live comedy at nearby Smokey’s Grill. The Long Point Trail had breathtaking-taking views and was worth the walk. It snowed for two of the days and the surrounding countryside was so pretty. A wild ride in a side-by-side completed my action packed week. I can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in the Iron Ring for a long weekend in November and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfy. We brought our dogs and were ecstatic that some of the cabins are pet-friendly (including Iron Ring). We didn't really see anyone the whole trip, which we loved. The hot tub was a nice bonus to relax and have a beer after hiking all day. We're hoping to return in the summer with my parents.
