Wish I’d read reviews before buying. Horrible service and a bunch of liars. I hope their business fails. They are more than happy to take your money but will not stand behind anything. I bought a Subaru engine with 30 day warranty, 2 days after installing engine found both head gaskets leaking. Called and told them what happened and they agreed to buy the gaskets but not supply labor which was fine, 2 days went by and no communication from them. Tried calling over and over with no answer. Called from another number and answered right away. Tried to act like they were having phone problems but that is not the fact, was told parts would ship out the next day with a tracking number. Again no follow through and would not answer my number and would get hung up on soon as they figured out it was me from another number. People and businesses like this are scum and hope this review helps others avoid this business.
I was there for 1 hour before they went to get the part. Stayed there for 4 hours and 17 minutes before the part was broughtto us. It was all handled on the phone before hand as well. They never called us back after initial call. Sorry as I'll get out. Priced like it was new parts. They don't want to be there.
Worse service ever I should of read views before I even called period they said they would buy my car for 150 nobody should up twice then called today and got hung up Unprofessional and if u weren't going take care should said it i hope u guys go out of a job pray u guys do to teach lesson
Worst experience ever started with trying to get an engine for my 2000 Chevy s10 after paying for the engine it still took them 6 days to get it out and I only ran it for about a week and a half and it cracked a head and blew the head gasket and they won’t honor there 30 day guarantee DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL ROBB YOUUUU
Hard time getting hold of anyone. When I did I spoke to someone but they were supposed to pass the info to someone else. Nobody ever called back.Dissapointing
My dad bought a transmission off these people coming to find out they sold him a bad transmission.. they would not refund his money.. then told my dad he’s he didn’t know what he was doing… well my dad works on cars since he was 13 that was his job.. but to cut this short. They lied cheat people they are NOT worth going to
I do not recommend Baldwins at all I bought a engine from them they said I had 60,000 miles on it which was a lie it was a very unhealthy engine that had a lot of issues I had them sign a bill of sale and they said that I could give my money back within 30 days or another engine and they never did that they're liars
My bf bought a jeep motor from these fellas who were generally very nice and willing to help us. At first the guy said 650 and he would deliver then when I called to set up the purchase he said it would be 40$ extra for delivery. Then ken said it was a miscommunication and it would be free of charge as long as they could have the old engine. Not only did they take all day to deliver but once they did they brought the wrong engine. Then wen they returned with the correct one they also added a 40$ charge for delivery. That’s the only reason they didn’t get 5 stars from me. I deals a deal. It’s not right to charge someone for your employees mistake.
Called company to get VIN nber match on part woman took my VIN number and assured me they had part for a 2010 Honda Fit. After I drove 3 hours they not only didn't have the part but the car was not even the year the womanwas are told me it was. Offered not even a apology for what they did. Was rude and unprofessional in every way. DO NOT WASTE TIME cars are all buried in a foot of red mud.UNREAL.
Stay clear of this company, check the reviews you have a high chance of this company cheating you out of money with non-working junk parts. Waited 3 hours to buy used seatbelts. When I received them, they had been cut out of a car with a Sawzall as panels were still attached to the muddy seat belts. A few days later my mechanic called and said the seatbelts were cut up and unusable, Baldwin’s stated that I cut them up. I have no idea why they said that. Check the reviews and see the pattern of non-working junk parts and Baldwins getting nasty blaming customer that the part did not work. They just pull and hand it to you, no testing and will not refund or exchange. Come to find out people in the car industry in this area said to stay clear of this business.

Going to take them to Court if they don't give me my money back sold me a bad motor by today there verry rude an they like to hang up the phone o. You and they try to drag you on I'll the warranty is up not this time I'm done playing games don't got the money to just give away like that
I wish I would have read the reviews before I went there. Terrible service very rude . They sold me a bad alternator. Would not take back so was out of the money and labor for time it took to put a bad part on.
This place charged $1000 for a motor that they said was off a running vehicle involved in a rear-end collision so the motor supposedly was good. My dad bought the motor for $1000. The mechanic who received this motor is undergoing cancer treatment and could not do it. My dad and his brothers (who the mechanic will tell you are good mechanics also) put the motor in and half of the motor didn’t work. Turns out the timing chain on one side was broken. No way this motor was in running order. When dad went to let the guy know, He said he was not going to honor the 90-day warranty because the original mechanic didn’t put it in. Now dad has to tear it down again and redo the broken motor.
I would rate this place with no stars if Google would allow me to. The customer service could be better provided by a chimpanzee. I have visited this place multiple times over the years and have never been satisfied a single time. One example of a time I visited I was looking for a transmission. When I first arrived I had to wait for thirty minutes just to speak with a man who I'm pretty shour was high as a kite, because he had to sit to talk to me and he fell asleep mid sentence talking to me. So I proceeded to find someone else and the next man I found claimed to be the manager. I then told him what I was looking for (transmission) and he told me $1500 little did he know I had already priced a brand new one from the dealership for $1125 I told the man this and he said his price was firm so I left unsatisfied.
Service was awful. Owner of this company accused my husband of stripping out the holes when the owner said there was enough thread to hold the screws from 6 feet away. Should have taken the part and told him what he could do with it. Treated my husband like a red headed stepchild. Place was very dirty. Had a least seven or more dogs in the area that looked to be not taken care of. Very arrogant and unprofessional. Watch what you buy from this company. They don’t care about their customers only about money the can steal from you. Definitely make this the last place on earth to buy from.
HORRIBLE customer service they told us they would give us a part after calling TWICE for $65 and when we got there they stated $150 after we drove for an hour to get there and said they wouldn’t take the part we needed off then! Very sketchy and very very rude I suggest to NEVER buy any parts from them because they are untruthful and a SCAM!!!!!
Best auto parts place every if you need it im sure they have it and parts are all great quality never disappointed would recommend over all others even even auto zone advance and napa i dont shop anywhere else plus the guys there know their parts and getting them takes hardly no time at all i will never go to any other parts place ever thank you guys at baldwin !!!!!! They have great service and mostly any part that you need. Friendly people and family owned. If they don't have something they will try to find it for you. If you have any questions at all call and ask for the owners Johnnie and Kenny.
I called about a radiator and the woman was very rude, even scoffed at me. She was unhelpful and I did not even bother going to buy the part because of her attitude. Worst 20 second conversation. I will stick with J and J.
Family oriented and very helpful in getting what you need! The customer service is awesome! Very much recommend Baldwin's for any of your vehicle needs. Won't ever go anyplace else again.
Awesome folks, family opened business, been in Sissonville for years. Reasonably priced. Have had no problems with returns. They also have a used car dealership and towing and recovering, Kanawha Valley Towing!!!! Great bunch of folks!!
Racist, unprofessional, felt unsafe, children all over the place, dogs all over the place, the office reeked of feces and urine. We spent 40mins there before we were assisted. Gave me the wrong part and when i came to return it, it seemed like he was gonna sick the dogs on us. my husband and I felt very uncomfortable with the poor service we received. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau!!!
This is a family owed place since 1973 If there is a problem then you should bring to the addition of the owners we are not like other parts yards we have thousand of cars and trucks not like the ones with hundreds different parts take different time to pull. By us being in business for 43 years that should mean we are a reputable place
When I called was quoted price of $40 and 15 minutes to pull part. When I got there about 30 minutes later part had mot been pulled, had to tell them where part was located on vehicle, and price was raised to $100. Kids running around junkyard and office screaming and running over people. They need to separate their business and family areas. Do not recommend them to anyone.
Horrible horrible horrible. Went there and wanted to over charge me first of all.. I purchased nothing.While I was there they had babies in the office area, filthy, eating McDonald's off the floor and dogs running.loose eating the kids food. The adults standing around smoking. Horrible.
Baught a car from Baldwin's the bearings went out 4 times. With a total time of two weeks "in the shop." Almost cost me my job because I didn't have a car.
Needed some steel rims and they said they had my size! Wrong,so I went with a smaller size that they did have.but it took them 3hours and 45 minutes to get them while I sat there in my car! This is not a way you do business! And I was there first and they was taking care of people that came in after me.never will I do business with this place again!
