Luxury is not how I would describe these cabins. Maybe luxurious compared with some other rentals/properties in the area, though. We first stayed with them many years ago and were excited to return. The cabin was pretty nice. Very comfortable. Some challenges with keeping it warm inside without getting too hot upstairs. The fireplace was great but it’s very noisy. They must turn hot tubs off till ppl arrive. I get that as a hot tub owner myself. That being said we were excited to arrive and jump right in and were disappointed when the water was only 67°. It was warm by the next day but so windy that day that we still opted against using the hot tub. Could be a touch cleaner in some places. Bed was comfy. Beautiful view with easy water access. Cabin 17 is advertised as more private than some of their other places but I think that’s inaccurate. There’s close neighbors and it’s right on the road. Barely any trees. We had to leave a day early for personal reasons but weren’t really bothered by it despite the expense. As in, the place was not so spectacular that we would feel upset to lose out…
Would return in the future but with different expectations.
Loved this place. So relaxing and it was a great escape to reset and unwind. The fly fishing was amazing. The staff who work there take pride in everything. I loved the cabin we stayed in #6. We skied at the nearby Timberline resort. There is no cell service in this area so be prepared- you will only have access while at the cabin with the WiFi. We are fine with that- but some people may not be. The hot tub was a great bonus after a day of skiing. Highly recommend this place to stay while you peruse any outdoor adventures nearby. They have many different types of cabins. I recommend bringing food to cook as grocery store(Walmart) is 35 minutes away and there are not many places to eat nearby. The only place nearby that was good is Cheetah-B’s. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. If you plan to cook- bring your own spices. They have a barrel sauna you can use and all cabins have hot tubs inside and outside which is very nice. Loved the fireplace! It was comfortable, romantic and peaceful.
Terrific place to stay! This was our first time in West Virginia. We would definitely recommend. You will be lucky to run into Sheila when checking in - she's very knowledgeable and pleasant!

Just celebrated our 40 year anniversary this year. Spent the week with our oldest grandson. We had a great time as usual.everyone goes above and beyond to be helpful. We rode horses, putt putt golf and hiked some. And this year my son in law has been teaching me how to fly fish. And I got to try it right near our little cabin. What a blast. We will be back in 2026 again. Thanks
My dad, brother, and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Harmons Cabins. The cabins were cozy, comfortable, and surprisingly affordable, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway. The river, stocked with trout, was a fisherman's paradise—we caught plenty of fish with no trouble at all. The hiking trails around the cabins offered some of the most breathtaking views you’ll find anywhere. On top of all that, the staff at Harmons were as friendly and welcoming as you could ask for, really making us feel at home. If you love fishing, hiking, or just want to take in the beauty of the Mountain State, Harmons Cabins is a spot you don’t want to miss. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an authentic West Virginia experience!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Harman’s Luxury Log Cabins. The premises are amazingly well kept, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, the cabin was unbelievably clean, and everyone was super friendly and helpful including owner Todd Harman who personally approached my husband and I while we were trying to take pictures and he offered to snap a photo of us and provided us a lot of tips about the area. We stayed in Cabin 7- the hottub on the deck in the screened in porch was great and kept bugs away. We could hear owls outside while relaxing in the hottub. The fire place in the living room to end the night with some drinks made our stay wonderful. We wished we were staying longer but will definitely be back!! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone!
We held our law firm retreat here. The team at Harman's were accommodating and nice as can be. The accommodations were great with breath taking views. It was an incredible time. We can't wait to go back.
What a beautiful place! I really enjoyed myself here. Spencer and his family are very gracious hosts. Everything was lovely, perfect, and comfortable. The water and trees make for gorgeous scenery. Why isn't there a six star review option???
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Harman’s Luxury Log Cabins is a dream getaway tucked into the heart of West Virginia’s natural beauty. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a private, luxury retreat surrounded by peaceful rivers and stunning mountain views.
The cabins themselves are immaculate—clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The indoor sauna was such a relaxing touch after a day of hiking, and the jacuzzi was the cherry on top! We spent our nights by the fire pit and our mornings sipping coffee with a view that looks like a postcard. We also enjoy their two outdoor saunas that have beautiful views of the mountains and water very peaceful and private for being in public areas.
The fishing access is unbeatable right on the property! Crystal-clear water, well-stocked rivers, and even guided trips available if you want the full experience. Whether you’re into fly fishing or just soaking in the scenery, it’s magic.
There’s no shortage of nearby adventures either. We explored Seneca Rocks, triangle rock, and even caught breathtaking views along the Smoke Hole Canyon. And the best part? The area is peaceful, remote, and free of cell service…which made for the perfect digital detox.
Perfect for birthdays, romantic getaways, or just reconnecting with nature. We’re already planning our next trip. Highly recommend!
Honestly the photos on the website do not do this place justice. The cabins are beautiful and up-to-date, and there are so many quiet locations throughout the grounds to enjoy the scenery. A wonderful place for a long weekend getaway.
A wonderful woodsy getaway! And if you want to learn to fly fish or are a regular fly fisherperson like me, you’ll absolutely love this place! Walk right out your door to a trout filled river. Cabins are lovely, with beautiful luxury renovations. Highly recommend!
Great stay, in what is one of the most beautiful places in the country. Most of the cabins are right on the river, or a short walk out the door and you are fishing , or explore the many locations within a short drive. The staff that we interacted with were all very friendly. Be prepared you are quite a way from civilization. So, if you are going here to fish and just get away, it is awesome. Cell service is spotty and very few restaurant options.
I really wanted to get married at Harman's but decided it was not an option because of their lack of communication. I spoke with Shelia on the phone asked for pricing. She said couples usually spend between 15k and 20k but could not tell me if that was just for the venue or if anything else was included. She told me to just come out and look at the venue but I explained that I wanted more info before doing so - if that was just the cost of the venue then there was no sense in driving a few hours and falling in love with location only for the cost to be way outside my budget. She told me to email her and she would send over all the wedding information they have. I emailed her right after we hung up and never got a response. I emailed and called multiple times for two months and only once got an email stating that the office manager was out that day and she handles pricing but she would get back to me the following day. She didn't. I sent one final email two and a half months after starting and was told they do not have prices they can give me (for a wedding that would have been less than a year away) but I can stop by the office to book. I was incredibly frustrated so I moved on to another venue in the area and booked with them instead - they were incredibly responsive and absolutely fantastic to work with but did not have on site accommodations. My mom decided to reach back out to Harman's because she knew how much I wanted all of my guests to stay together there and asked about doing a room block like you would for a hotel. The woman she spoke to said they could not do that so far in advance and we would have to wait until closer to the date to see what they had available. She agreed to contact my mom in two months and give her an update. My mom never heard back nor did she get a response when she tried to follow up multiple times. I am thrilled we ended up working with the venue and hotel we did - they were on top of everything, and so accommodating/responsive but it still just blows my mind that we were chasing Harman's for months when we were trying to pay a ton of money to have a wedding there. Weddings are stressful enough so I wouldn't even waste your time or energy trying to contact them for yours. I've seen other similar reviews about the lack of commutation for weddings and wish I would have listened to those - there are other fantastic venues in the area!!!
I had an excellent few days at Harman's The cabins are beautiful. A lot of upgrades that I have not seen in other cabins. The fishing was very good, catching a lot of large rainbows during the two days I was staying. The were stocking even more bigger trout while I was there and followed the crew as they put in the trout. a great getaway and will take my wife next time.
In spite of the rainy weather we had a great time sightseeing, trout fishing and relaxing.
This was our second time staying at Harman’s and we hope to come back soon.
Where do I begin? Hospitality I think. It was evident in everyone we came in contact with at the site. Even though we had never been to Harmon’s before it felt like we were visiting old friends. This was a special occasion for us being our 50th wedding anniversary and Harmon’s did not disappoint! The property is beautiful, the cabins are clean and comfortable and the North Fork is full of Trout. If you are a fly fisherman it is worth your while to book a trip with the guides onsite. I went with Tim who is a very fishy guy (that’s a good thing). He will put you on fish and I bet will teach you some tricks regardless of how long you’ve been fishing. Visit the fly shop as well or just enjoy the beauty and solitude this place offers. Smoke Hole Caverns is less than two miles away and Seneca Rocks, Seneca Caverns and Spruce Knob are all reasonably close as well
Great get away for fishing with friends. Clean cabins, easy access to fishing, store had a small but good selection of items. Orvis store had good selection of fly fishing gear
We stayed 3 nights the cabin is in a beautiful location and was nicely appointed. We did have a few issues that were taken care of right away, Jody the maintenance guy was great and Harmans made things right. The one thing I would like to see them add is a blind or curtain to cover the all glass entrance door.
Very nice cabins. Peaceful and very relaxing time. Located within 45minutes of many hiking and waterfalls. Do have some great hiking trails right on site
What a wonderful place! Beautiful views of the river, comfortable beds and sofa, lovely little front porch. The grounds are kept perfect and the staff in the office are kind and helpful even as they struggled with tech issues the week we were there. Actually everyone we came across were friendly and helpful. We spent a full day at the river down by cabin 15 which was the most accessible entrance. Truly amazing. There is a common area on the river with very comfortable seating which was perfect for morning coffee and evening firefly watching. We will definitely be back. Here's the reason I didn't give 5 stars: although there is AC in the cabin, it is a wall unit in the dining area - which is fine during the day, but doesn't help cool the bedrooms at night. Most nights were fine with windows open, but if it doesn't cool down outside the bedroom is too warm for me. Another thing to be aware of is the seating on the porch and around the fire pit - although they look very cool and rustic and match the aesthetic of the cabin, are uncomfortable because you're essentially sitting on logs. Lastly just be aware that although the kitchen is stocked well with cookware, and a couple of coffee pods for the morning there is nothing else. Bring your own salt and pepper. Was it a big deal? Not at all, but I wish I had known to bring it. Overall it was fabulous - four and a half stars even - but they need to make a few tweaks to get to five for me.
We recently stayed at Harman's and hosted an intimate wedding reception in their new pavilion after our ceremony at Bear Rocks (Dolly Sods). The grounds and the views at Harman's are absolutely beautiful. The cabins are gorgeous, clean and cozy. I could go on for days about how wonderful our stay was, but above all, the staff at Harman's is second to none. They are welcoming and friendly and just all-around great people. We couldn't have asked for better on our wedding day, it was perfect. Can't wait to go back!
Always a great time at Harman's Luxury Log Cabin. This is my second time staying with them, this time I stayed in Cabin #5, and they always have everything to make my time there so enjoyable including bonfire pits, hot tubes, a complete kitchen, updated bathrooms and this time I even had an indoor jacuzzi. My favorite part about the cabins are their location to Dolly Sods and up to Seneca Rocks for some great hiking. There are also a few trails on the property if you don't want to drive.

Had a fantastic time here with the family. The view of the giant rock cliff and the river is absolutely spectacular, and you can enjoy it from the comfort of the cabin! We went snorkeling in the clear water and enjoyed watching all the trout swimming around us. The hike up the cliff is VERY steep, but the view at the end is definitely worth it! The staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend visiting this place!
The best cabins are across the bridge. The only downside is that if you are a couple, you'll be sleeping in a queen. The views are great but the river is mainly shallow around cabins 11/12. You'll be able to swim in the river up by the entrance. Can't speak for the fishing as I don't have the patience to fly fish. We stayed in Cabin 11 which was just great. I have no complaints. They do have a lot of rules but the rules are what makes it an enjoyable experience. Very quiet besides the occasional vehicle driving down the road. The cabins are in what is called a dark zone what does that mean? You will see all of the stars, if it's clear.
First time for us staying at Harman's. The cabin was exactly what we expected. Everything was perfect. Too bad I do not fly fish. Great opportunities all around us on this 2 mile stretch of river. We hope to make this a yearly tradition!
I can not even begin to describe how wonderful our stay was at Harman's cabins. The pictures do not do these amazing cabins justice, they are absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be coming back here in the future to do some hiking around Dolly Sods and Seneca Rocks, as well as using their creek for some awesome fishing.

Fishing at Harman's was a great experience. The cabins were beautiful, nicely equipped and very clean. The fishing was easy to access and full of fish. The only thing better than the fishing and cabins are the people that work there. They were very accommodating and enjoyable to work with. It is a great location for larger groups. I am looking forward to going back next spring!
