Nature's artwork! Beautiful waterfall showing a marvelous white veil. This place is enchanting and excellent to take pictures to make wonderful memories. The parking spots are very limited, 3 or maybe 4 vehicles, tops! But it's totally worth the try.

A small roadside attraction just outside the town of Gauly Bridge, WV. The parking area is tiny and one could easily go right by it. Worth a stop any time of year.

Nice falls and the height is so much. It is in multiple levels. Visited during November, but may be good time to visit is Summer. Half of the falls was frozen.

Went when it had been raining all day, lots of water flow. Literally right off the road, a great little 10 minute stop. Wouldn't go way out of my way for it but there's another waterfall nearby as well if you're on a waterfall seeing journey.

Beautiful place enough room for about 10 vehicles The walk is not far some might find it easier just to walk up through the creek to get to it. But there is a dirt walkway on the other side of the bridge and has a little bit of an angle but is accessible by most people that can walk. The cathedral Falls I understand now why it gets its name it's almost like a super tall amphitheater when you sit on one side you can hear the water trickle in like a stereo echo. This would be a beautiful spot for pictures, as you will see in other reviews and various sites. With the drought the area has been through, though, the falls were only trickles when we were there a couple of weeks ago. With the rain that just passed through the area they most likely are running some now. Be aware that the falls are located in a bend in the road that you come up on real fast. Parking is really challenging if a lot of people are there, as it was during our visit, as there is little space. Be forewarned to watch out for others both in the lot and getting into and out of the parking area.

Water was low, so the falls were just a trikle; but it was still a beautiful place to climb some rocks and sit and contemplate nature, and just breathe.

Water not rushing over the falls but decent given the time of year and many other local falls totally dry. Beautiful place, very green vegetation. Parking limited to four or five vehicles but right off the highway and worth the stop if you are nearby at Hawks Nest park. Easy path right into the falls.

This place is beautiful but the surrounding area has been littered and not taken care of. It was pretty crowded when we went which was a holiday weekend. It might be better to go during the week.

Very pretty falls that is right next to the road. You can walk down to the falls or there is a little climb (very steep initially!) and you can walk up the falls on the right side of it. The parking lot is small but this is a good stop if you're driving by anyway.

Just right before night falls on the falls, you find the peace and quiet. You get to hear the magical sounds from nature with a perfect pic of the moon. I've been going to these falls since I was 5, now my kids and granddaughter get to enjoy the same things we did growing up. Amazing views and unforgettable memories

On what became my last road trip with my mother, we decided on a whim to stop here in mid May of 25. While the waterfall was not running at its peak, and the vegetation was barren, it was a beautiful little spot to sit and enjoy the scenery. Along with my daughter, the three of us enjoyed an hour grounding ourselves at this spectacular wonder. We enjoyed it so much, that when we had to travel past it again for a cheer competition. This time it was raging water with beautiful greenery surrounding the falls. Worth the diversion. Worth making it the sole reason for your journey. Free little stop.

This waterfall is amazing. Hiking trails. Easy parking. Right off route 60. Amazing views. I have been here 3 times and this place never disappoints. If you are traveling thru on US60 this is DEFINITELY a stop you must make.

Stunning waterfall that's just off the road side! We were shocked at how big it is. We were able to take a super short hike all the way up to the falls. Anyone with mobility issues can still enjoy this beautiful waterfall.

I am a waterfall fan! I am absolutely thrilled to find any. Cathedral falls may be one of the easiest to find. Right off or the road. Nice parking pull off. You can choose to stay back and take a picture or a short walk gets you closer! This is part of the waterfall trail in WV

Very cool. Well worth the drive. Pull right up to it. Can be seen from the parking lot, which is great so everyone has an opportunity to see it

I have absolutely zero complaints about the waterfall. You can’t complain about Gods creation. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is cause the parking lot was a bad set up and hard to get in and out of. It also would have been nice to have a port-a potty there.

Gorgeous. The trail to the base would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues as it's rocky, sloped, and narrow, but there's a bridge with a good view at the parking lot. It would be an amazing place to cool off on a hot day.

Wonderful view. Must visit. Parking might be tight during holiday season, however not that bad. The falls is just near the parking lot, no need to walk or follow trails.

Great place that you just pull off the road and enjoy!! The kids were amazed and were able to easily navigate the rocks to put their hands in the falls. A true Mother Nature work of art!!

If you're in the area, this is a perfect spot to check out. There is very convenient parking located just yards away from the base of the waterfall - it's a pretty short (although rocky) walk from the car to the falls. It was fairly dry when we went so the falls weren't super strong, but it's still gorgeous and certainly worth the stop.

We spotted this amazing waterfall on our drive to the Rail Explorer excursion. Nestled on the side of the mountain just off US Route 60, this pristine waterfall stands about 60 feet high. There is convenient parking just off the road and it's a short walk to the base of the falls. This is a must-see and a great photo opportunity when you're in the area.

Cathedral Falls-- or better known as "my happy place" is truly a slice of hidden magic! You can always anticipate the flow of the water fall by the rain from the previous few days. Today it was just a slight trickle, and if you braved the November chill, you would walk ankle deep all the way to the falls. When the falls are running good, there are several natural pools that form which are great to splash and play in- most only get 2 or 3 feet deep at most. If the water isn't your thing, grab a book and soak up the sun on one of several large flat rocks. There are a few tables and benches for a picnic, but without bathrooms it's not ideal. The good news is that bathrooms are only a few minutes away- the Glenn Farris Inn is usually our stop and we grab a dessert! As for the parking and accessibility- it's not ideal. The parking lot fills fast during the summer and after heavy rain falls, and there is little room for RVs to maneuver. For accessibility, there is a wooden bridge which can be used to see the falls, but the rest is all a sloped dirt path or walking the rock creek bed. The last thing to note is that as popular as it can be-- it's still nature. This is the 3rd time I've seen a snake here, so be mindful of your step and kids. I overlooked the little 'nope rope' until someone actually pointed him out to me (and apparently 45° November cold is still a good time to sunbathe).
