Just went here with steel they charged me a short iron price dont go hear they dont give a sbit what you got and will pay only bare minimum they can get away with
Dropped off some misc metal and a good bit of copper and they told me to come back and they'd pay me out, came back and they said the ticket was already paid. I NEVER GOT PAID OUT. THEY STOLE MY MONEY!!!! I get 46 bucks isn't much and I don't desperately need the money, but I can imagine they steal from a lot of poor people down in Huntington. Hope they get shut down, has to be a ton of violations burning plastics and stuff out back.
I normally only write positive comments on these reviews, but today I took in three thirteen gallon garbage bags crushed and completely full of pop cans and only got $12.15 for them. From now on I will just throw my cans away
I just think that just because you have an appliance in your truck doesn't mean that everything you drop is an appliance I feel like I got robbed and I couldn't win anywhere else and dropped it off and at least made 20 to $25 more. This place is crooked as hell I would not take your scrap there, don't waste your time. It's confusing his hail, and you go by their time, not yours, so they will make you sit and wait. For no reason, and then how people look at you. Stupid, wondering why you're sitting there. Because there are the ones making you wait, don't waste your time. People, there's a lot of places around here that you can take your medal to and get an honest deal.
Wasn't too impressed, but I usually go to mckees in Athens and I feel the prices are better and they're way more structured than Taylor's..next time I'll stick to the usual.
They are very picky about an I d and don't let anyone on foot utilize their service you must have a vehicle the id I understand with all the theft but some people survive on recycling and that makes life hard
A large recycling center that has been around for a good while . They are your typical operation giving the fluctuating market value for scrap metals. Dont expect to make a fortune here but its a good way to make some supplementary income out of what would otherwise be trash.
!!!CAUTION!!!MUST READ!..Horrible Customer Survice,Bad Vibes,and on top of that Their Rasict for ex; as soon as I walked into the scrap yard it seemed like a good place to buy what i needed,but after talking to a couple of people on the inside they had stuck up aditudes and one elderly man named Michael Smacked My Arm, i was reaching to put an item back in the box from where it came,he then told me the the items could not be sold to me because they were already sold,but get this...Michael and his co-workers watched me pick out the items i wanted and also told me that they were selling the items but they needed to be put on scale,they even recommend items for me to checkout.After he slaped my arm,he then took the items i picked out for NEARLY AN HOUR!!! and put them back in the box and told me to come back another day not even giving me the time of day to come back mind you his co-workers were watching him in his every move they said nothing but smiled...DO YOURSELF A FAVOR,DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE IN PERSON!!!!!!!
My husband loves to junk it's a hobbit for him! So as u can image we r at taylors at least every other day 3-4 times a week. And I have to say that they are always very kind n friendly with us every time no matter witch worker it is.. Plus he always gets a good descent pay from whatever he has took there. We sure will be sticking with them until other wise..
The staff has always been friendly with me. Taylors Iron and Metal is a Family made, family owned and Family ran business. It does get busy at times, considering this is the only recycling business open in Huntington, the wait time is understandable.
Ridiculous waste of time was there about an hour and still didn't get my $ for my scrap I left!! Place is a joke good luck to anyone that ventures there ..
The staff there has been rude to my husband and I on several occasions!! They treated us like the junk we hauled in!! Also, we didn't get paid for our pop cans on 3 seperate hauls!! Honestly, we will never go back there!! No matter how desperate we are for money!!
This is now the only place to recycle in Huntington since the others have closed. That alone gets them the 3 stars. They have started to get so ridiculous with the stipulations on their cans that people like myself that are doing it strictly for the recycling and not the money will more than likely just stop. No wet cans, you have to rip the bags open and go through each one so make sure to wear old clothes and be prepared to get sticky.
