Need to teach your drivers in the Scott Depot area how to stop at stop signs. A truck this morning just flew through a stop sign without touching their brakes. Hopefully this careless driver doesn’t hurt anyone. Do better.

Absolutely the worst waste management company you can use. Drivers are nothing but a bunch of airheads in the most respectful way possible! I’d love to be able to get in contact with some type of owner or a high-up in the company to discuss their issues( because theirs more than 1) for example, Today I had a driver destroy the back of my car. Missed bags, or late pickup is normal, but this is unacceptable.

Republic’s crews have been refusing to empty out trash can. We are an older couple and typically produce approximately 3/4 of a can of trash. Our trash is always in tied bags that aren’t torn or ripped. Additionally, we try to make it a little easier on the crews by placing our cans across from our neighbor’s cans. However over the past 8 weeks, your crews have regularly left one or two bags of trash in the bottom of our can. We’ve tried to call several times and have waited on hold for over forty-five minutes on more than one occasion. Not being able to speak with a living, breathing person has has left us no choice but to reach out and file complaints with the WV Public Service Commission and the Cabell County Commission. Cabell County deserves better.

It's been almost a month and we've had no trash pick up. I understand we live on a hill, and at times it can be arduous to get up especially when it shows, however, the roads have been cleared for 3 weeks now. We've called and asked multiple times and it's always "they should be there to pick it up on your next scheduled pick up day". Nothing has been done in 3 weeks. I've requested a pick up through the missed pick up section on my account. Nothing! If they I'm paying them for the full month? They better think again. I know I'm not the only person who feels this way in my neighborhood. Your paid for a service, you should provide it! If we can get up and down the hill in our little 2wd vehicles, you can get up the hill in your 15 ton truck.

Republic Services is garbage. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. And their customer service is garbage too. I guess they're in the correct business. Our garbage hasn't been picked up for 2 weeks and counting. And I'm betting it doesn't get picked up this week either between us not living on a main road and it being a holiday this week. All I asked was for them to prorate my bill because of lack of service. And they don't do that because of weather. So I'm expecting to pay full price for a service I'm not receiving. Shame on you Republic.

I'm located in a strip mall. Five dumpsters are located together. Somehow my dumpster got pushed back against a hillside. The driver informed the office he couldn't get to it. I paid a record to pull it back and called the office. They informed me I would have to pay another fee to get it emptied I didn't push the dumpster back but I was punished plus pay record bill. I know if your driving er tried he could have pulled it out.

This guy would drag my trash can out into the middle Of the driveway, and sometimes the middle of the road, for no reason. I confronted them and they simply acted like they didn’t hear me. Today, there are much better workers that don’t do that. This rating is for the past, 2022-2023. Thanks. Update: Well today, the trash workers have placed our expensive trash can that has a folding lid completely upside down, bending the lid, damaging our trash can. I’ve also noticed them tossing around neighbors’ trash cans carelessly, scattering them along the side of the road. A complaint has been lodged.

What a terrible company. Several times, they've neglected to pick up our garbage (yes, the bill was paid and up to date during all instances) on many occasions and scheduled to pick up at another time (that wasn't their normal schedule). Every time they make this agreement, they fail to do what they say. Most recently, during a snow storm, they were unable to pick up our garbage. They agreed to pick it up on a different day, but failed again. The next week it was 60° outside and again they didn't pick up. The office said the roads were too icy in 60° weather. They said they'd "make a note" and have the garbage picked up the next day (which is today). As of 5:45 pm EST, our 3 week old garbage still sits outside with the rest of our neighbors. This is a disgusting business practice for being a sanitation company. We're lucky we don't have rats yet. I wish there was another company to use in this area, but this is our only option. It's truly disappointing.

I have had multiple issues with reliability. Started around the time as the March ice storm. Understandable that trash was not picked up the week of the storm. But it was 6 missed pick ups in a row. The roads were not bad after the first week. They continued to start the roads were ice back then. After that they took a payment for service and canceled my pickups due to "someone calling and stating I had moved." Took 2 weeks to get my trash picked up after that. I have ended up with rats in my home that took months to rid myself of said rats. There has been multiple times since then that they have claimed the roads are to ice or impassable when they have been prefect with excellent weather. The only resolve they ever offer is we will send and email to the local office. We will have them send someone out within the next few days. Which doesn't happen. Currently last week there bad road conditions which trash service was suspended with a new pickup day being the next day. The roads had been cleared yet no pickup made. This weeks pickup we were told the roads are iced over and severe weather in our area. The temperature has been in the sixty the last 3 days with light rain. The roads are clear and the creeks are low. They are still refusing to pickup our trash. This is completely unacceptable, unsanitary, and disturbing. If there was another option in Wayne WV for trash pickup I would switch providers. Discussing and lazy is the situation and attitude I get when calling.

Republic Services is the most unreliable service I use at my home, and that’s saying something. They were delayed or skipped service about half the time in 2022. The truck drivers and workers on the trucks do a fine job, but the back-end company services stink worse than the trash sitting in front of my house right now.

I highly recommend NOT using this service for trash removal and I would give them 0 stars if it were an option. They have been very unreliable and have not followed through with their promises of picking up our trash. During a telephone call to Republic Service we made an appointment for them to come and pick up a few large or bulky trash items, a toilet, wooden vanity, shelf etc. All bulky trash items did not weigh over 50lbs each. They never came by to pick any of it up as promised. I called them again and they apologized. They scheduled another pickup date and time for September 9, 2022 between 4:30am and 5:30pm. Returned home from work evening of September 9, 2022 and yet again it was never picked up. We received a text from them that they were running behind and the new pick up time would be September 9, 2022 between 5:30pm and 2:30am. Headed to work today, September 10, 2022 at 6am and yet again still no trash pickup. Just checked at 1pm and no trash pickup. I tried calling them and conveniently they are closed all weekend. So now these large bulky trash items are sitting out until who knows when they will respond. Several of our neighbors have had the same issues and they were so fed up they canceled Republic Service of Huntington, WV and hired a different company. If our trash is not picked up by Monday we will no longer be a Republic Service customer.

Do not waste your time and money with these people. I can't even get them to deliver my garbage container to my house, but they had no problem sending me a bill for service I never received. I've called 4 times over the past several weeks waiting on a phone call from them and it never came. They gave no explanation and I think they've made it clear I'm not getting one. I have no idea how these people are even in business after looking at these other reviews.

They don't pick up my trash at least once a month. After they have skipped me for a week they come the next week and take pictures and say I have too much trash and charge me for every bag saying I have too much when they didn't pick up the week before. This time I've called 3 days they keep telling me they will send someone that day and that day never comes. Today I got a callback from a very nasty women and she said they will get it the next pickup I told her I want it picked up now the cats are in my trash and my dog is getting bones I also told her I wanted the credits on the bill I just got because there won't be another bill she said I will just cancel you right now I said no you won't you will come pick up this trash then I will cancel you I'm not going into another trash company with weeks of trash VERY NASTY!!!!! DON'T USE THIS SERVICE!!!

Republic Services has picked up my household garbage once in the last 6 weeks. Company reps have made multiple excuses for failing to provide service and have also promised that a truck would be dispatched to provide service. My account is current yet each week I get lied to by both local and call center representatives. I have contacted the WV Public Service Commission for help.

The absolute WORST trash service I have ever used. Back in the spring they did not pick up our trash for over a month. I had to call the public service commission. Today makes 2 weeks since my last pickup, I have no more room in my cans with maggots everywhere. Looks like it's back to the PSC because because they have the monopoly on trash service in the area. Local lady on the phone was extremely nice and apologetic, but mananagement stated there had been no delays in my service, or any missed pickups, and she had no record of my previous calls. Beyond disappointing.

They have only come 2x in 5 weeks. This is week 6. When we called about missed pickups, they were supposed to come get it that day or the next. They never showed. My husband called last Fri and was told they would be out that day to pick it up. They didn't come out. I called back on Monday and they were supposed to be out by today to pick it up, plus a supervisor was supposed to call me back. No one called, no one came. The neighbors and mailman are both mad about our trash our front. Both our cans are full and there's 7 bags on our porch! We are a family of 5 and require trash service!!!

I’ve been using their service for about 2 months now. They told us they were changing our day. They never come to get our garbage ever though. Our entire street has had garbage lining the road for the last week. Rodents are have become a problem. This isn’t just me, this is an entire street. There are people with babies, hence used diapers in garbage. This is unacceptable

They did not pick up our garbage for 20 days. Every time we call they said we are sending a truck. They can not tell the truth they only say what they think we want to hear. I spoke with a driver and He said they know they can not send A Truck the next day because the truck will not be in the same area the next day. Then they blocked mine and my neighbors number. When I got thru on another number they hung up on me 4 times.

On trash pickup day my trash was left in the bin with an orange sticker placed stating that the yard conditions around the bin were unsafe and the grass needs mowed. I pay to have my yard mowed and it is done very well every week. I've affixed a picture of what they have deemed unsafe and it is a large weed growing from the bin. Customer service was contacted and they apologized and said they would send someone back out. The trash was never picked up and upon the second call to customer service they stated the crew stated it was still unsafe due to lawn conditions and that was after the weeds growing form the bin was removed. I understand the bin is not in great shape and if that is the issue then so be it and tell me and don't leave a no pick up notice for issues that are not an issue. We have since switched to a competing service and will not be returning.

My brother who was in a bad car wreck and partially disabled attempted to get a garbage can brought to the house he’s renting. He was promised a can on may 3rd. The can never showed up, we called, and called, and called, and called. Explained more times than I care to count that the can never arrived. They kept telling us it would be coming. It’s been over a month keep getting the run around. Because of my brothers limited mobility trash was piling up in his house and it was getting him sick. I had to come down from Minnesota to help him get the trash out of his home and we still have no way to get rid of it. This has legitimately been the worst customer service experience in my entire life. This company has a 1.7 star rating for a reason. They do not care about customers and if you have the option to work with someone else do it. If I could give 0 stars I would. I hope someone from corporate or Human Resources sees this and reaches out.

We have had our trash out for a month. Animals are getting in it and we have to re bag every other night. This is unacceptable. And this is not the first incident we’re lucky to get ourTrash picked up on a regular schedule we have to call and beg. This is the worst company ever. I pay my bill early every month and yet I get a message on my answer machine that I am two weeks behind. That is impossible I have my bank records to prove it. That’s bad when you got a beg for service.Terrible terrible terrible. I will not be emailing you. I will be calling the public service commission and then if it’s not resolved I will go door-to-door And get everyone to change to the other trash company. Get it fixed!!!!!!!

Has not picked up in my neighborhood for a month. I understand weather has been bad for a couple weeks. But it has been excellent weather for the last 2 weeks, still no pick up. There is no ice or trees down on our road. No excuse. Other than laziness. But you better believe they want me to pay that bill!!

For the past 4 months they fail to pick up my garbage. My garbage can is setting beside the road in full visibility. My neighbors can is maybe 20 feet from mine and they get his. We have called to report it each time. We are told a supervisor will call us back. Also they tell us they will have someone come back and pick it up. But neither one happens. This company has the worst customer service. I could understand it if I didn't pay my bill. But I am paying for a service I am not receiving.

Our apartment complex has this service. They did not pick up on then normal pick up day. I, the property manager, have called 4 times (one call per day for 4 days...) they promise to pick up, can’t tell me why they didn’t pick up, and our bill is paid. Still not picked up and holiday is two days away now. Dumpster is over filled. And I can’t get anything done. They will not let me talked to manager/supervisor and they tell me someone will call in 24hrs and trash will be picked up that day..but none of this happen Patton place Apts Winfield wv I would definitely not recommend this device to anyone. This is not the 1st time we’ve had trouble with them picking up!!!

By far and away the worse service and customer relations I have ever seen. Three weeks no garbage pick up in the heat and the middle of JULY. Sadly enough this happens every year at this time as employees take vacation. Even drivers later tell us later this is the reason. Numerous calls by all residents in our subdivision do absolutely no good, speaking to supervisors no good, promises made and are not kept. We have no alternative but to contact our state authorities and the health department as it is a true health hazard....

In the past 4 weeks my garbage has been picked up once. Have called numerous times only to be told that they don't know why they didn't show up. Every time i call they schedule for another pick up but never show up. This has been going on for at least the past year. If there was another company in the area i would have switched to them a long time ago. They sure do take my money on time every month though. Guess when you're the only company avaliable you can have horrible service because people can't go anywhere else. Ridiculous

Trash is consistently NOT picked up. We call, they say they will put us on the next scheduled day... It has been picked up maybe 3 out of 8 times after I have called. My 86 yr old grandfather pays his bill on time every single month. This negligence and horrible service has raised his anxiety and stress level numerous times and it's ridiculous when we do our part to make sure our trashis put outtrash is put out on the correct days and we'll witgin the time frame !

I had an incident on I64 near Milton WV where one of the Republic trucks was directly in front of me and something came off the truck, hitting my windshield and breaking it. I called them within the hour to report it, and they said someone would return my call “shortly.” It took four phone calls & pictures of the damage sent to them before I got any kind of response - which was over a week later! The adjuster wanted to know if I took a picture. Really? On interstate going 70 mph, he wanted me to break the law & get out my cell phone to take a picture while driving? He wanted a truck number. Sure, let's tailgate on interstate get that for you. Or better yet, let me drop my plans and follow you to your destination to show I'm not "lying" about the incident. They should have been able to locate which truck it was with the date, time, and place the incident happened. Are they not able to track their own trucks with that information? Why don’t they have cameras on their trucks so they can see what is happening in lieu of denying the claims for “lack of evidence.” I'm cancelling my service with them today, and I hope others read this and do the same. It's pretty bad when I don't even want them to touch my garbage!

We have contacted their So called Customer Service multiple times regarding their failure to pick up our trash and we keep getting told they will reschedule us for a missed pick up on Wednesday. Well 3 weeks later they have failed to pick up the trash. We are going on week 6 now that they have missed collecting out trash. But they do not hesitate to debit our account for the “Service Provided”. Total lack of care for the customer who pays their bills. When you bring this to their attention, the response is “ We are doing the best we can to resolve the issue”. It is truly unfortunate that this is the best service that they can offer a loyal customer. If you have another option, I would suggest you go that route.
