Staff is kind and helpful! I needed a cover taken off the bottom of my SUV and they did it for no charge! They are a great resource to have whether your from the Huntington community or a student at Marshall University!
I have been coming to Clark's for my car needs for a decade now and I have had some serious clunkers that they kept on the road for me. I have never received anything but top notch service here and sing their praises to anyone I hear having car trouble. They are realistic, reasonably fast for how busy they are, and above all they are honest. I'll keep coming here as long as I live anywhere near town.
Our AC went out while we were traveling back to Oklahoma. I did a quick search and called Clark's based on the reviews. These gentleman had cars lined up around the building because they are so busy. They not only squeezed us in, but had us back on the road within 2.5 hours with an AC working better than when we started!! They also recommended some amazing food and a nice place to shop while we waited. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
These guys went above and beyond to get me back on the road quickly with my family after having some alternator trouble 3.5 hours from home. The price was very fair and I couldn’t have asked for better service.
I recently took my car to Clark's Automotive on 8th Avenue it was running really rough and they was going to check it and see what was wrong with it the DHHR was going to pay them to fix it up to $2,000 come to find out it was just a little hose they did not charge me $1 or the DHHR $1 these people are very honest very nice a highly recommend giving them a call or stopping by if you need anything done with your car

I had my car towed to Clark's. During the night outlaws cot off the convertible top stomped around and muddied the interior stole my brand new muffler. And the owner said he was not responsible because the tow truck got there after hours and did not put it in the building but left it on his lot. I was told they were the best Chrysler mechanics in the area the charge was high. But the car quit B4 I got it home. They went through it again and it did run home. But I never did get it to run right again.
Walmart sent me here to replace a lug on my new truck that they damaged the threads on.
I had a new nut I bought when I found it missing. I asked if they could just repair the lug since I already had a new nut.
The man was very accommodating. He repaired it while I waited. I offered to pay for the service but he refused the payment.
I was very impressed to find such generous & helpful people.
Chris and the whole staff were very helpful, took time to explain everything that needed fixed. Even offered a ride home after dropping off my truck.
Overall, very impressive work and I'll definitely be back for any repairs I need in the future.

I chose to try Clark’s after receiving excellent customer service from Debbie over the phone. Chris and Debbie communicated clearly while my car was at their shop. I was given specific explanations of the problem & what needed fixing. Chris called to explain everything item by item & confirm what I wanted to do before he started repairs. Everything went smoothly.
I have finally found my mechanic shop. This place is AWESOME! Debbie was extremely helpful and got my car in for service ahead of schedule. What can I say? The work was completed quickly and the price was so reasonable I was shocked and delighted. Any other place would probably charged me double what I was quoted. I have lived in Huntington for 2+ years and finding an honest, good mechanic shop is always tough. This is now the ONLY place I will take my vehicle for service. Highly recommend them.
Clarks auto has the best customer service of any auto shop I have ever been to in my 43 years. We brought our newly purchased car to clarks to have an axle repaired , they called us a short time later to inform us that the axle that had come with the car was for the wrong side we went to pick up the car and even though they had taken time out of their busy schedule to look at the car they didn't charge us. A few days later we got the part and brought the car back. We dropped it off mid morning and before the close of business our car was finished. And it drives perfectly. The price was exactly what they said it would be no hidden fees no trying to add more repairs that weren't needed just straight to the point and exactly as promised. The price was also amazingly fair. They answered all our questions even though they were always super busy anytime we called Chris took the time to talk to us like we were the only customers. He remembered us from the first time we brought the car in didn't have to ask our information again. Everyone we encountered at this place was extremely friendly and courteous like they had known us for years. I would recommend anyone to take your vehicle to clarks auto they are amazing I'd give them 10 stars if I could. And as long as they say they can service or fix my vehicles in the future this is the place that will for sure always have my business. Thank you to each and every one of you. You really are the best around.
Clark’s quickly diagnosed and repaired my SUV’s faulty coil pack, O2 sensor, and engine misfire. Chris B. was efficient and courteous, kept me informed of the required repairs and cost to get back on the road. The crew had me in and out the same day. Their prices were fair, as I saw very low mark-up on the parts prices they charged versus the price I would have paid if I’d gone to the auto parts store myself. I’m happy with the level of care and attention my vehicle and I received, and if my vehicles need service in the future, I will surely go back.
I will never go anywhere else. In my 4 years of living in Huntington, Clark's has gone above and beyond to take care of me, and they do it quickly, politely, and honestly. Even in an emergent situation they got me in with no problem and showed compassion like I haven't seen at any other business. Quality, fast work and kind staff. Can't ask for any more than that.
Clarks has been a life saver for me and my Subaru Outback. It is a family oriented business in the community. They know you by name and your car on sight. It’s hard for a female to take a car to a shop. You always want to think that you can trust the service you receive or the money you are charged. I found out the hard way that’s not how it works. I found Clark’s to be trustworthy and honest. I personally give them a 10 for outstanding service. I will continue to keep going back for service because they are the kind of folks. Found this shop after living in Huntington for a little over 10 years. Turns out I lived right across the street from them in college but never noticed. Don't know how I ever missed them... But I was having some issues with a misfire and some loud brakes. Talked to them on a Monday, they got my car in Wednesday. Within an hour or 2 they called me and told me what was wrong. In another 2 hours they were finished. A few days pass and I notice a loud coil whine. Sure enough my alternator is bad. I take it back the following week. They get to it the next day after drop off, and find an alternator in Charleston. It's done within a few hours. The professionalism, care, and genuine nature of everyone I talked to was more than I could ask for. In person, and on the phone, I was met with kindness and manors. Not too many shops have as much as that. Please don't hesitate to consider leaving your vehicle in this shops hands. Prices were more than fair. And every issue presented to me was met with a why. I had zero doubt that I would receive my car in better shape than I left it. They deserve every 5 star review. And I won't be looking anywhere else in Huntington to have car service. Thank you!
Dropped my car off just before noon, got it back the same day, despite the fact that Clark's is a busy shop. New front brake pads and a replacement motor for one of my windows came in well under what I was expecting to pay.
Intake was a smooth process, as well. Debbie, the Service Advisor, listened patiently to the litany of problems and noises I described, making detailed notes to share with the mechanic.
Everyone I dealt with, on the phone and in person, was polite, professional and seemed genuinely appreciative of my business. Fantastic experience all around!
Chris at Clark’s Auto Care did a very thorough review of a car I was considering purchasing. He gave me accurate info, and was meticulous in the details he provided. I don’t live there, so I was trusting him with my decision! He was very kind and did all of this for a VERY reasonable price. I highly recommend Clark’s!

Left twice with them neglecting to address major issues I had wanted done (even something as easy to remember as an inspection sticker and fixing the parking brake). Left all three times with more issues than I came with. Two of those times I was told part prices over the phone that were twice as much when I came in.
What was supposed to be a week turned into six weeks and cost me time on the job (my truck is my paycheck).
Make sure they write down everything you ask them to do, or, better yet, take your vehicle elsewhere.
They may actually be genuine, skilled, and organized, but if so, I never saw it.
We were traveling through the area when our truck developed mechanical problems. Not knowing where to turn for repairs, we googled local shops. To our great fortune, Clark’s Auto Repair came up with good reviews. That is an understatement, they worked us in immediately, diagnosed the problem, had it repaired and back on the road in a very timely manner.
