My truck threw a rod bearing on I-5 South Bound comimg down Nisqually hill Monday Evening the 8th of December 2025. I coasted into the Chevron Extra mile Gas Station managed to park the truck under the sign out of the way of the fuel pumps and through traffic. I went in and got a few items and told the cashier what happened and asked if it was ok that I stay the night in my truck. I was told yes no problem. The next morning I went in and spoke with the day shift cashiers and asked if I could leave my truck there for a few days and I would be back to get it? Iwas told yes. I called on Wednsday to check on it and again was told it was ok. On thursday evening about 10pm I showed up to get my truck and it was gone. Come to find out the Manager of the Extra Mile called and had it towed by the company across the street. So I called the Towing company across the street Nisqually Automotive and Towing. I was told that they impounded my truck and it was just over $500 to get it out plus an after hours fee which I did not have. The next day I called to find out how much it was and why they towed it since I was told it was ok where it was. They told me it was $700 and the manager from Extra mile called and had them tow it. Across the street for $700 I asked and the guy said yep, and since today is friday I will have to pay an after hours fee because I couldn't get down there until sometime in the evening and they are closed on the weekends and are charging me $250 per day in thier yard. Come to find out the Exta Mile Chevron is owned and ran by Nisqually Automotive and towing. So I am being charged for them to tow my vehicle 700 feet across the street and put behind thier fence which is still their property they own the store as well. Why an I being charged a towing fee for them to move my truck around thier own property? I wonder had parked my truck in their parkig lot would they have charged me to put it behind the fence and still call it impounded? Sounds more like theft to me since they own all of that land.That is one good scam they have by towing vehicles from the gas station since they are owned by the same people. How is that legal? These poeple lied to me about my being ok and have been rude each time I called. This has caused many other problems as well. They have ruined Christmas for my two little boys. Since I dont even have enough to get my truck out. If by some miracle I can come up with the $1,000 it will cost come tomorrow that will be all I have. Nothing left for Christmas and my sons. These people are CROOKS. I will never have anything to do with them and their Extra Mile Chevron again. Be warned this is the absolute truth. You can't make up a scam that good. There has to be something illegal about what they are doing and I am going to find out. Starting with the better business bureau and the Attourney General along with Labor and Industries. I give them ZERO Stars I just had to click one so I could post this message.
Thank you to the two drivers that came out yesterday on a holiday week, took time away from there family to tow me to the nearest Kenworth dealership after my truck simply died on me and wouldn’t restart. Both of the drivers were professional and knew what they were doing. I spoke with Tony, the gentleman who set up the tow. ETA was a lot quicker. They got there within the hour and had me all hooked up and ready to tow within a very reasonable amount of time. Thank you again for helping a fellow truck driver out. I appreciate your service and dedication.
I was on i5 yesterday when a low tire light came on. I pulled off the freeway to see what was my problem. Darryl from Nisqually Automotive kindly helped me. He found my problem and fixed it quickly. I really appreciate the help he gave to me.

I had Nisqually Towing come pick up my car and get it to the shop to be fixed, I had a pleasure of having Steve as my driver. He called me promptly to meet me at the vehicle. He was super professional, fast, knowledgeable and he made sure everything was done correctly before taking off. I would highly recommend this company, they do good business and take care of your vehicle from A to point B.

After a very unfortunate driving lesson that ended with two blown out tires for my teen, the Nisqually Towing Team were a bright spot in the afternoon. After using our USAA roadside assistance to call for a tow and waiting 3.5 hours for it to continually push its time of arrival back, I ended up calling Nisqually Towing. They were able to get to me within 45 min., swap the rear flat for my spare, and get my vehicle to the tire shop before closing and got me back on the road.
Julian (who answered when I called) was efficient and informative when I called for pricing and timeline of arrival.
Steve (tow driver) was both professional, efficient, and supportive during in a less than desirable situation.
Both team members who I interacted with left me feeling both confident and taken care of.
If a future tow is ever needed, I know I won’t hesitate to give Nisqually the call!
Quick and reliable help when I needed my car towed to the shop for emergency repairs. They even brought out a second truck better for the job when it was decided my car wouldn’t make it up onto the flatbed via winch. Drivers were kind, and are experts. Would 100% use again/recommend this company!
Car wouldn’t start, so I called the auto shop next to my location, and they arranged a tow through Nisqually Towing Service. Their driver, Steve, showed up quickly and was incredibly professional and kind. He handled my car with care and got it safely to the shop without any issues. I’m really thankful for the great service. Highly recommend Nisqually and especially Steve!
Unfortunately my car decided to kill its own battery on my way home from work. Steve was there within 25 mins of me calling for the tow. I was home- car in driveway within an hour of car break down. It’s never cheap to call for a tow- these guys are the most reasonably priced and get there faster than the other companies in the area though. I used another company earlier for a lock out- they were twice the price and it took two hours for them to get there.
This company like I said, are the quickest, most reasonable, and most professional tow company in the area. I won’t call anyone else if I ever need another tow.
I just wanted to share my awesome experience with Jonny from Nisqually Towing! He arrived even earlier than I expected and was super friendly the whole time. He asked the right questions in a respectful way, which made me feel comfortable. It was clear he knew exactly how to handle everything! He jumped right in to help me and even gave me some great advice on what kind of tow truck I should request when it’s time to take my car to the mechanic. I couldn't have asked for better service!
Steve came to the rescue when my fuel pump went out in my Acura. Down to earth guy, was super helpful, and even asked for any special instructions before he hooked up. I am a firm believer in customer service and this exceeded my expectation.

Wanted to show my appreciation here for Steve. I was put out on my own by insurance company due to them not being able to a proper wrecker to my location. Made a quick call to Nisqually Towing. We recently had a leaf spring break on our 26' camp trailer and Nis1ually Automotive came to our rescue! The receptionist was helpfull and reccomended an RV shop; and the driver was friendly and really knew what he was doing; from shorting up the trailer at the axle to expertly getting our beloved RV on his trailer.
Steve is the absolute best. He came by after 9pm because our car's battery was dead and we couldn't even get it to unlock. Not only did he get us inside so we could troubleshoot, he immediately helped us jump it and even did extra research into this make and model (it's a weird, finnicky plug-in hybrid) to make sure he was doing everything he could for us. He then proceeded to give us some advice on next steps for the car, and even offered to follow us to a nearby auto parts shop just in case. Everyone should be more like Steve.
I worked with a wonderful young gentleman named Steve and because l have been ill the last few months l haven’t been able to post how wonderful he was to work with and his kindness and professionalism meant a lot!!!!! This was back in like September of 2024 and l do apologize l haven’t gotten this review up till now, but at least it is up now!!! Steve was with Nisqually towing and he was wonderful, kind, professional and was very respectful of the grief I was and still am feeling as my husband passed away December 1st of 2023 and unfortunately my deceased husband’s family have become greedy , vindictive, and unfortunately hateful and willing to lie and cheat to try and gain everything they can from his estate including trying to take everything from me and they were able to take my car because it was in my late husband’s name after l had an accident ( the air bag didn’t even go off) after l had arranged with Nisqually towing to pick up my car, unfortunately because my car was still in my husband’s name his very slick and slimy son made sure he went in and said he is the executor of the will and he will be taking my car. I would just like to say how kind and professional Steve was to myself while l was permitted to remove my personal belongings from my own car before they turned it over to his son/family because it was still in my husband’s name. Very cruel and unnecessary vindictiveness on their part, but unfortunately that is how some people and situations are. I would just like to state that Steve that works for Nisqually towing was very kind and professional and timely. I would definitely work with Steve from Nisqually towing as he had a very caring, knowledgeable attitude and was helpful and kind, during a difficult time and process. Steve was very professional, helpful and polite. I hope he gets a raise and some good recognition!!! Steve truly made that awful situation bearable and was kind in a difficult situation. Again l hope Steve is getting some recognition as again he was just a wonderful, caring employee and those are hard to find. I had a really frustrating experience with Nisqually Automotive the other day that I would like to share. Before Christmas, I called to schedule an appointment for my brakes, which they had replaced before. My brakes started making a tapping noise after I had to use them heavily during an accident, so I explained the issue in detail. The receptionist told me I could bring my car in on January 3rd. But when I called on the 3rd to confirm, they told me there were no openings and that I’d have to wait until January 15th. This was beyond frustrating because it completely went against what I was told earlier, and being given such a small window to bring my car in felt unreasonable.It then took over ten days of constant calls just to get in touch with a manager, even though they kept promising someone would call me back—which never happened. When I finally got through, they scheduled me for January 15th at 2 PM. On the day of the appointment, I brought my car in expecting them to actually inspect it properly. Instead, the mechanic just took it for a quick drive. At first, he said he didn’t hear the tapping noise I described (which happens every single time I press the brake pedal). Then he completely contradicted himself by saying he did hear a tapping noise but claimed it was caused by a relay under the dashboard. That explanation made no sense because the noise clearly happens when pressing the brake pedal—it has nothing to do with the dashboard or any relay.What really made it clear they didn’t want to deal with my issue was when I asked what to do if the tapping noise continued. The mechanic told me to take my car to Brian’s Auto Shop—basically passing me off to someone else instead of fixing the problem themselves. It felt like they didn’t care about helping me at all.The whole experience was unacceptable. Their communication was terrible from start to finish, they didn’t take my concerns seriously, and the mechanic’s explanations were inconsistent and unhelpful. I won’t be going back to Nisqually Automotive, and based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
UPDATE: about a year and a half ago, Nisqually Automotive told they performed a coolant flush, changed the radiator cap, and replaced the thermostat. When I drove out of the parking lot, and on Marvin rd., my car started overheating. I had to pull over immediately, and call them back. First, they didn't offer a tow back to the shop, so I waited for it to cool down, and carefully drove it back to the shop for them to fix it. I was told it just needed air pockets out. For the a year and half, the temperature, and coolant system seemed normal until i suddenly overheated. Upon inspecting the hoses for the upper radiator, I noticed a huge hole blown out of the hose. I had to buy a new thermostat, upper and lower rad hose, filler neck for going securing the thermostat, radiator cap, hose clamps, coolant, oil, and oil filter. Upon removing the thermostat, I noticed it was off-set. For my particular car, there a re notches that are suppose to line up when placing in the filler neck. Its oriented to go in only one way. However, a year and a half ago, Nisqually Automotive carelessly put in the thermostat without lining it up properly. this means that, for a year and a half, my car was slowly leaking oil in the coolant, and coolant in the oil. It built up over time enough to block the coolant system, and the hose to explode a hole in its side. I replaced the hoses, filler neck and thermostat, and I performed a coolant flush with distilled water, but first drained the old coolant by removing the lower rad hose (no petcock, and is likely why the mechanic failed to actually flush the whole system) and nothing but mud came out. I let it run for 10 min with distilled water and heat on high with the new thermostat seated correctly, I drained the water, and replaced it with pre diluted coolant, and since then my car has been running like a champ. I called Nisqually to speak with the manager to let him know of the situation, but I was dismissed. I Do NOT recommend!

If you want professional yet friendly employees, fast service, priced VERY reasonably, they treat/protect your vehicle as it was their own then Nisqually Automotive & Towing is definitely the place to call!
This company and its driver Patrick. We came over the pass in our motorhome and as soon as we got on SR18, our serpentine belt broke. We overheated and we were in a construction zone. Service was fast and Patrick calmed me down and got us home safe and sound.
Steve came out tonight to grab my new Audi. Incredible care and attention to detail. This guy spares no moment and gets it right. Will definitely have him tow the audi when it breaks again.

I had a blowout, and had to send for AAA to help. I was lucky they sent out Steve that day because he was there within 5 minutes. Within 20 minutes we were at Costco Tire center repairing the damage. It turned a bad day into a better one!
Had to get a tow for my C350 7.3idi. Rick from Nisqually arrived on time and made quick work loading it. I greatly appreciate the care and professionalism shown throughout the entire tow. Hopefully I'll never need another, but I now know the company I will call on for any future needs. A BIG thanks to Rick, and Nisqually Towing for their help.

This is the first time I have personally had one of my vehicles towed. The call was quick & easy-she got my info & location. Robert on truck#23 was awesome! He knows what he's doing, got to us fast, towed our car safely to it's destination, professional in every way, friendly, knowledgeable. Can't say enough about him. This was the first time I've used this company and because of Robert, I'll be using them again! PS. Plus the dude on the phone was professional and great too! Was able to give us a quote, and helped us feel calm over our car breaking down someplace unfamiliar. We had a great experience!
