Went there today had a few barbecues and a bunch of barrels of lathe turnings had us dump them then went to the scale house to get paid and they said they don't take turnings and never have but brought them there in the past with no problem got 9 bucks for the barbecues and nothing for the turnings so they just got a bunch off free metal will never go there again
I have been in there before and my name was in their system. He looked me up and said I'd have to update my license. I'm from waha idaho and working on rental units in spokane. I left my ID in the hotel. They told me after everything was weighed and dropped in bins, they wouldn't be able to pay me for semi precious metals without updated id.
Been to a couple of other recyclers but on this day American was on my way home. Would definitely make the trip there even if out of my way. Great and helpful staff. Very satisfied with the experience. Would highly recommend.
Says that they open at 7:30. It's 7:45 and still not open, but employees are there. Update: Went back as a business to recycle some aluminum. Since we posted a one star review was denied service and employee was beyond rude. Went to pacific recycling way bettee service and set up. Best part they pay better. Found my new business.....
Rip off artists! Had 500 lbs of scrap iron and apparently they don't know metals very well cause they paid mixed tin price!! Wouldn't recommend this scam place, go elsewhere!!
Sitting here after 730, and they are not open. Hours on the gate correlate with hours on thier website. If you going to post hours of operation, follow thier hours.
I had about 20 forged aluminum rims wheels. Three of them had a chrome plate which was fine. All the others were forged aluminum and they gave me Chrome plated prices because they were corroded or had a polished finish. They should probably train their guys a little better. I will be going elsewhere now
Wow! One day it's something the next something else. Prepared radiators paid as 'sheet' ... Guy said tires on car o.k. next time different guy docks me $10.00/ ton for tires... make up your mind. Wasting my money and time when you don't know what you are being paid till after you unload.
Employees are very nice and helpful. Sometimes i wonder if it is worth recycling it does not pay much. The worst part is they use usbank for their checks so what little money you do get USBank takes $7.00. Very sad to say i will no longer be using them for recycling.
The people that work there are great! Never been a time that the guys were not gentlemen. It's not there job to unload your your truck but they help me everytime. Would recommend American Recycling above all!
Failed to pickup their dumpster for 4 days after repeated calls & Emails. I depend on these dumpsters so keep my job moving. This is the last time I use them.
Best place to take your old metal the key is superate the different metals your self between heavy and light... Good place to take your aluminum cans and u get 2 cent per pound card i myself like to smash my cans and then take them down so I get more...
I wish to give a big thank you to American Recycling for providing a free wheelchair ramp to my family after the one at my home was stolen. The owner and site manager took time out of their busy day to help us. Thanks again Dustin AKA "Hollywood".
The workers there seemed pretty nice and helpful. It was my first time going to a place like that, so i was pretty lost, but they took me in and explained what i had to do. I was relieved to get rid of my metal so easily!
Terrible place, bad attitudes, 2300 lbs paid 11.50 I would pick my stuff back up and take it else where if I could. I will never return and recommend nobody to use them as a recycler.
They straight ripped me off; calling my steel; tin! and gave me 23.00 for 1600 pounds of steel. Make sure you check your receipt before you leave, The guy in the yard has the say so so tell him what you got. he is trying to make himself look good; or gives false evaluations because hes told to from the top of the organization.
