Drove all the way in from Loon Lake with a whole truckload of cans. Arrived at 3:40 and waited out by the can bin and nobody came out. So I go into the office and get told they started closing the scale at 3:45. If I was there at 3:40 it should have been open.... but wasn't. If you have your hours listed as open till 4 you should actually be open and serving your customers until 4. I now have to make the 60 mile round trip AGAIN, but you can rest assure it won't be to you. Zero stars.

I've been to other scrap yards in Spokane and will ONLY run my rig to Pacific Recycling.. they have set the standard for what a recycling experience should feel like.
Extremely nice lady's to work with at the scale house, the loader operator Extremely fast and great at his job. The guy running the aluminum side nice and great to work with. I been going here for years. The new facility is great. I couldn't and would not even consider going anywhere else. Thanks to all at pacific steel. Hope to see ya all soon.
First time going here. Had some copper and aluminum. Crystal helped me sort it and told me the best way to get the best prices. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and upfront people work here. Super clean warehouse. Will for sure be back.
These people (spokane pacific recycling) are the best. We come over from Montana just to see these gals and guys. They are very friendly and make it fun. Very much enjoy coming over.
Very confusing. No one has a clue to what's going on. Then 99 percent on the aluminum was clean but heavens for bid there's a couple screws so they count it dirty. And never once did they point out that there was screws or mention it till i got to cashier. Scam. This place is ripping people off. Apparently they need to pay off new establishment. Never coming back here American recycling it is!!!!!
I believe they ripped me off. First time scraping, I went in with 75 pounds of stripped romex and got 110 dollars. After posting online every single person said they absolutely ripped me off and the prices they gave were the worst they have ever seen. If your looking to scrap your metals I would probably call around, apparently this was the worst possible place to recycle anything.
I have been to the recycling center many times over the last 10 years. I have never had a bad experience. Becky knows me by name, and is always friendly and helpfull. The new facility is nice, just wish the steel was covered. I just dont go there when there is snow on the ground.......Overall I like the place.
Great experience recycling scrap metal here over the course of the last few months. The office is clean and presentable and the customer service was above my expectations! Their current regular steel/ferrous metal prices are pretty competive, I would say, and the drop off location is straight forward and relatively easy to navigate. Would recommend this place for ferrous metal recycling. 5-stars!

Cool place and terrific staff from the office ladies to the crane operators in the yard. Makes one want to collect scrap metal just to have a reason to come!
Took a truck load of motors and transmissions here to scrap called before I went and they said 10 cents a pound for dirty aluminum and after I unloaded it they gave me this price shown in picture and charging me scrap iron price so I went in and complained and the guy at the desk said it’s the end of the month so they drop there prices regardless of what the scrap iron prices are basically they have a spending cap a month but then make bank off the people because they don’t go by the market of metal and it’s wrong and once I left there I had my friend that helped me unload truck call 30 min later to ask what they pay and of course they said ten cents lol. I get metal is down and up but taking advantage of people is wrong to benefit themselves….. and also I ask them why they gave me scrap iron price for all aluminum but yes cranks are in motor and gave me even less than iron price. The truck was fully loaded I guarantee 3500 pounds and that’s all they gave me sad :(
This was our first time coming here, there was no signage directing customers on what to do or where to go. The real issue though was the women working the scales. She was very rude and short, she seemed irritated that we didn't immediately know what we were supposed to do. Definitely won't be returning.
a little hard to find for me, Ask for directions my GPS had me a mile away. People were great prices really good ! If you need scrape steel, it's the place to go.
Pro: They supply gloves and a vest for safety. The gloves were a huge help. The customer service was helpful and kind. The price was great as well when it came to scrap steel. I will go back again.
Con: You get called out if you're not wearing a vest while their vests and gloves look like they have never been washed.
Unless you have OCD, this place is great. I will definitely use them again. I recommend them highly.
WARNING—THEY CLOSE EARLIER THAN THEY SAY!!!
If you are coming to drop off a load of scrap metal, be aware that they close the incoming scales earlier than posted on their signs. The sign on their front gate clearly says incoming scales close Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM, and that's what they told me over the phone as well.
I showed up at 3:58 PM, and there was a gate across the scale and the man standing there said that they were already closed and I should have arrived at 3:50. He was disrespectful and pointed behind him to the side of the building and said "it says right there on the sign if you want to read it." I was so disgusted I forgot to tell him they should change their front gate sign then.
I have seen a similar situation on Saturday mornings where people arrived with huge trucks and trailers full of recycling and I overheard that they had come from over an hour away, only to find out they were a few minutes late due to the fact that the scales close earlier than they had been led to believe.
Every time I have been there near closing time, you can tell that everyone there is in a super big hurry to lock the gates and get out of there as soon as they possibly can.
Most of the staff is not friendly unless you happen to build some rappor with someone after several visits.
Other than these major annoyances, it's a decent place for selling or buying scrap metal. I can't comment on pricing as they are the only place I have gone to frequently enough.
I took 12 pounds of #1 copper and they gave me #2 price. I know it was #1 because it was for one clean, most of it was big around as your little finger. It was wire that came out of a welder. I have done this for the past 30 years and never got treated as bad as I did there. I don't recommend going there if you have material for sale. Go some place HONEST not here
When it comes to honesty and fair, they are both. Easily had ability to reload metal that I didn't want to sell to them and they were upfront on what they pay for. Recommend for all iron and steel sells.
