So much potential, so little customer service! While staying at the hotel we were having a lovely time until we experienced a noise issue with our neighbors. That in itself is not the fault of the facility, however, their handling of the situation was woefully inadequate. The noise started around midnight, the neighbors to the right of us were blasting their tv, some music and speaking in very loud voices. On our first attempt to call the front desk our phone was not even connecting or getting a dial tone. After fiddling with the phone we were able to get a dial tone but the front desk did not answer any of our calls. We waited until almost 2am for the folks to stop since we couldn’t get any assistance with the issue but needing some sleep we were fed up and decided to walk down to the front desk ourselves. Walking down to the front desk at 2 AM was not part of a relaxing vacation and when we got there, no one was there to be found. We waited around at the front desk and we walked down the hall looking into the restaurant, the spa, around the beautiful lobby and could not find a single soul to help us. I found a card for the front desk manager on the desk and called it only for it to ring the vacant desk. I loitered around for about 25 minutes, trying to find someone to no avail. We ended up having to address the issues with our neighbors ourselves because it seemed like the only hope of getting any sleep. The next morning we tried to address this issue with the front desk and was just told sorry and that there was someone supposed to be working the front desk at that time. Even though no one was there they did not offer to give us a late checkout or provide any accountability for why a staff member could not be found to address this issue. When we were asked to be connected with the manager, we were given a not working email address then when we repeatedly called back, trying to speak with the manager, we were put on hold and hung up on repeatedly. This place has so much potential, but I would not recommend going there because the customer service or lack there of ruins it all. Save your money and patience and go somewhere else.

I love this place. Been going here since I was a kid- so many memories. I LOVE the pool. I also like the hot tub outside better than the one inside, I go back and forth between that and the cold plunge. Their dinner was AMAZING- no complaints. I also slept very well in our suite. We were there for superbowl Sunday so it was a little busier than usual but I kind of like when there’s more people (less lonely) because it does feel like a little getaway to the middle of nowhere. ???♀️?

This was our Valentine getaway a little late. The lobby is lovely with a big stone fireplace. The receptionist was very helpful. I enjoyed a message and we had a nice dinner. I got to go in both hot tubs. My husband forgot to pack his swimsuit and they were out of men’s at the spa.The information in the room failed to mention that you can tour Bonneville Dam

We spent three days two nights in a King Room with the forest view and a private hot tub. Absolutely amazing. You feel welcomed the moment you arrive to when you check out. There was not one person we encountered that was not proud to be part of the resort and that definitely shined in the customer service. We had two massages and two facials, dinners and lunches…..you will seriously enjoy being pampered by an excellent staff and spa culture. The resort grounds are beautiful with lots of things to do. Bonneville is definitely a place we will be returning to often.

This is a great place to unwind and relax for several days. Good facilities, great maintenance, quiet air conditioning (both heat and cold), and mineral bathtubs (with untreated, non-chlorinated water) with jets on the the spacious balconies. There's also a nice and very welcoming large hall with the fireplace, which I enjoyed in the evenings a lot. Looking forward to stay there again and again.

Great getaway. Food at the restraunt was delicious. Pools were nice, clean and hot ? Beatuful landscape. Only complaint is poor water pressure and our outdoor TV didnt work which we were looking forward to using for a family movie night. Otherwise, we had a great time and the hot tub on the balcony was the best ❤️

I was very excited my favorite place had re-opened. I took my husband for a suprise. Overall the stay was relaxing and nice. We utilized the outdoor pool as we didn't want the stress of all the kids in the interior pool since we had left the lobby fireplace due to banging on the piano. The early morning snow flurries while in the outdoor pool was magical, although there was no place to keep our robes dry and very limited chairs so everything was on the ground and sopping wet. Covered coat hooks would have been perfect. We had drinks in the bar, service was slow as the wait staff chatted with regulars. We had to go to the bar to ask for service multiple times. Dinner in the dining room was amazing. Food was excellent, waitress very attentive, friendly and fast. She by far was the best staff member we encountered. The purpose of the trip was a massage for my husband. I scheduled a 90 min massage for him online, with a specific request. After emails about the time I chose being unavailable, l repeated special request and chose a new time. I received a generic reply to go back online and re-book. I feel they should have called or used the emails to assist. There was a missed call on our way. Our immediate return call was not answered. Upon arrival we were told the phones were ringing to the closed restaurant, and the massage had been canceled due to therapist injury days prior. Why they waited until less than 30 minutes before the appointment to call us, we do not know. We also found out that the request I made 4 times was not noted. The manager asked how I made the request and if I had the emails for reschedule. That suprised me, I offered to pull them up for her but was waved off. Then she offered a 45 minute free massage with a student who was "very good". My husband agreed. I let them know he needed heavier pressure. Of course we were told no problem. Needless to say it was not a good massage. I used the "gym" which is 1 treadmill and some weights in a large area that might be a conference room. The robes provided are toddler sized. Our friend was told to leave the bar because his robe didn't cover his stomach and chest. I would have been mortified if someone had publicly commented about my weight but he took it in stride. Offering a plus sized robe option when making the reservation would have been nice since most of the population is over a size medium and it's embarrassing enough not to fit them and then being called out for it. Overall good experience but customer service and communication, especially in the spa, was horrible and that was the purpose for the trip. While waiting to check out the older lady ahead of me asked how it was. When I simply said good. She said they definitely have kinks to work out. I agree, that is the best way to sum up the trip.

We visited Bonneville Hot Springs Resort and Spa today and had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered the ribeye steak, which cost almost $50, and it was honestly one of the worst steaks I have ever had. First of all, it was extremely thin — definitely not what you would expect from a ribeye. It didn’t look like a proper ribeye cut at all. The outside was badly overcooked and had a strong burnt, sooty taste, as if it had been grilled on a dirty grill that hadn’t been cleaned. While the inside was somewhat okay, the outside was completely overdone and unpleasant to eat. For a steak at this price, the quality was completely unacceptable. We asked to speak with the manager, Megan. When we asked her why the steak was so thin, she said, “We decided to cut it thinner and make it smaller — that’s just what we decided to do.” That response was very disappointing. Although she offered a replacement steak, it would have just been another steak prepared the same way — and after receiving one that bad, I had no interest in getting a second one like it. There was no real acknowledgment of the poor quality or any meaningful effort to resolve the issue. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. The rest of the resort is old but acceptable. However, the restaurant food is truly terrible and absolutely not worth the money.

Our experience was lacking for the nightly charge. For $400 per night, I expect the room and the service to be superb. Our tv didn’t work and when we called the front desk, no one answered. We were never given a WiFi password, but the front desk was very polite at check in. The drawers in the room didn’t stay closed so I tripped over one in the middle of the night. Other than the trash left on the deck, the room was decent and the hot tub on the deck was awesome. The lobby is beautiful as well. But for me, they really need to up their game if they want to charge that much.

The price has gone up, but the quality of service has gone down. $20 per hour — and this time it wasn’t even easy to reserve a spot. Today I had a very disappointing experience at Bonneville Hot Springs Resort & Spa. First, the spa rules have changed, but we only found out when we tried to take photos near the pool. I came to relax, and for me that also includes taking beautiful photos in a beautiful place. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to do that. Second, in November 2025 I barely noticed any staff presence, but today the level of monitoring throughout the spa felt excessive and uncomfortable. While we were sitting in the sauna, a staff member opened the door — for what reason, I’m not sure — looked inside at everyone, let the hot air escape, and then closed it again. Later, I received an important phone call and stepped out of the noisy pool area into the lobby so I could talk. I was repeatedly told to move from one place to another because it was a “quiet zone.” I understand the need for calm, but the experience felt less like a relaxing spa and more like being in a library reading room. Overall, this visit was far from relaxing and not what I expected — especially considering the higher price. I hope management will review both the updated policies and how they are communicated and enforced, so guests can truly enjoy their time there.

Its always a nice trip. The private tub is nice and they dont max out the temperature so you can hop right in and enjoy it. Rooms are clean. Beds are nice. Decent sized TV with a good selection for when you are not soaking. I do wish the rooms had a microwave. There is one on the second floor though.

Nice space, the aesthetic was done well, I’d come back to hangout and enjoy the grounds and the interior spaces more next time. I was expecting actual hot springs fed tubs outside, but alas it was a standard large outside spa, which was nice but not the more natural aspect I was seeking. My gfriend and I enjoyed our soak and the sauna and could plunges. Despite my disappointment around not having the natural hot spring fed pools, it is a great friend date or date with you hunny(ies) (<

I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend staying here. I recently stayed 3 nights, over a booked Valentine's Day weekend and staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious. The soak and wrap was luxurious. The 90 min massage was exemplary. The hot springs soaks were relaxing. We played 18 holes of mini golf, hiked, relaxed in leather chairs by the warming fireside in the lobby. Would I stay again? In a heart beat. I very much recommend staying in the quiet rooms with comfortable beds and covered patios with beautiful views. :)

I went with my mom and sister for Valentine’s weekend and was thrilled that this is where we went. The forests and hikes are all around, including a trailhead that starts behind the main building and connects to the PCT: well-maintained yet remote trails allow you to connect with serenity. The Serenity Spa inside the resort is lovely and healing, meeting all the of our range of needs. The staff in both the spa and the hotel are friendly, thoughtful and listen. Even though the resort was fully booked, it remained quiet and spacious-feeling. I am now planning on coming back again soon for more day trip Soak & Wraps, hikes and delicious food at the restaurant!

Bonneville Hot Springs is an excellent getaway destination with very nice staff and great facilities. This was my first visit there and I was quite impressed. However, my one hour couples massage that I had booked a month in advance was abruptly cancelled the night before as we ate dinner there. Since we were only there for the weekend, they could not accommodate a rebooking during that time. Quite disappointing. Our room was clean and quite nice but absolutely NO USB plug-ins anywhere so bring your "bricks". The hot tub on our deck was great and private. Two bathrobes are provided in each room but they are not exactly a universal fit so you may want to "bring your own" or just go without. The food in the restaurant was excellent but overpriced. The servers were very friendly and professional. If they have the seafood chowder on the menu, get it! The breakfast menu does not have a big selection BUT the the portions are enormous. A couple can easily split one menu item and feel satisfied. Overall, not sure if I would return.

I remember hearing about this place ages ago. I missed out during its initial offering to the public and was disappointed that I missed my chance. Then, as luck would have it, Bonneville was back open to the public. I spent this first stay in a king room with a balcony tub. Our room was clean and cozy. There isn’t a lot of color to the space and a few pictures really would help make it more inviting. But honestly I was there for the water. It did not disappoint. Clean tubs full of mineral water were a hit!! I’m definitely coming back!

Hotel has a beautiful lobby with a big fireplace and grand piano. A few different areas for communal hang outs. Plenty of parking. Luggage carts available. The indoor pool area has a beautiful wood paneling in the ceiling. A nice warm hot tub, medium temp big pool, cold pool, and indoor sauna. We went for a near Portland staycation with our kids and enjoyed the pools, went on a nice hike at the nearby trail, slept well in the quiet and spacious room, and had a delicious meal at somewhat nearby Backwoods Brewery in Carson. Kind of simple, clean, nice, and not near a lot (but some good hiking).

Bonneville felt too expensive for the service it offers. It's billed as a resort (with prices - both for rooms and food - to match), but it never quite felt like a resort. The rooms were fine, but not dramatically better than those at a nice Best Western. The service was not great (read long waits for food, staff who didn't remember us even after having talked to us a minute before, etc.). The food was middling. And the price (at least when I went) was quite high for all of the above, which - again - would be understandable at a botique hotel, but felt not great somewhere that felt so mediocre. The facilities were fine, but again - I've seen hotel pools with equally good hot tubs and lap pools. The outdoor mineral pool was fun, but too cold for me to stay in for long (admittedly it was winter, but still...rather frustrating). The highlight of the trip was the in room hot tub, which was filled with mineral water. This felt very special (since who doesn't want their own private hot tub?) But this was the only thing that made the trip not feel like a disappointment.

So relaxing! This resort was always a big favorite of ours operating under a different owner. It was closed for many years and has opened up to the public again only in the last six months. The pool, the property and the restaurant were top notch. Our eggs Florentine and Salmon fillets were amazing. There is a free miniature golf and nearby trails. This property has all of the amenities of the nearby Skamania Resort without the cost.

We went during the week and we had a great time. There weren’t a lot of guests so the pool and hot tubs weren’t crowded. Everything was open and functioning well. The restaurant was understaffed but the waitress was pleasant and worked hard to provide a good experience. Dinner was decent. Front desk was well staffed and helpful. We had an issue with our room and they were very responsive to reaccommodate us. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet. Definitely would like to go back.

Booked a night here for our anniversary. Looking over some reviews I was a little worried. Check in was very prompt. No issues there. I did pay for some loose rose pedals to be scattered about in the room and when we go into the room there was no rose pedals. We had a reservation at the restaurant, so on my way in I reminded the front receptionist about the roses and she went up to scatter them about while we had dinner. Dinner service was great. Food could have had a little more flavor. But overall dining experience was awesome. All staff were professional. Hot tub room was awesome. Hot tub was clean and in working order. We will come back!

We went and stayed overnight on Thursday 1/15/26 and really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and sauna. Staff got us towels and lockers so that we could enjoy the pool before check-in. The area is beautiful and relaxing. We got the room with a hot tub and that was amazing. Highly recommend this room especially if you don't really want to be around others. The reason for the 1 star rating in Service was only due to the restaurant (all other staff were amazing). We went to dinner early and there was only 1 other table when we got there. It took forever to place an order. We finally placed an order for 2 drinks, an appetizer, and two cheeseburgers. After waiting a long time, we got our cheeseburger but no appetizer and our sides were wrong. We didn't say anything because it had taken so long. We to ask for water after asking 3-4 times and finally one of us got up and went over to staff to ask again. We also asked for ketchup 3-4 times and when we finally got it, it was too late. Our waitress then proceeded to bring another cheeseburger with a side salad - she was super confused and asked if I ordered 2. I had not. At this point, we reminded her that we never got our appetizer. When we got the check she had taken the appetizer and one cheeseburger off the bill. While we appreciated that, it didn't make up for the horrible service. The food was meh. We saw one couple leave because no one came to take their order. Another couple was approached by our waitress and she asked them what they were waiting for...their food. I would recommend going to the resort but making other plans for eating.

My partner and I had a lovely stay here enjoying one of the Balcony rooms that has a hot tub. The room was a king-size bed with all we needed. The room we did have, I believe room 310 or 316 was facing the parking lot. So, perhaps it's worth paying the extra for the forest view, but we didn't and had a nice stay still, but not a great view. Especially lack of privacy when on the balcony. We never had a chance or even need to use the pool or outdoor tub, but they looked nice. Just know in those, they have to use a minimum amount of chlorine by law to avoid emptying them in the regular. My only issue was arriving later, I recommend grabbing food on the way because nothing delivers there and the restaurant isn't 24-hours. You'll have a great time there!

Pool house area nicely decorated. However, hot tub was WAY too hot, to the point of being dangerous or unsafe. Room was not the cleanest it should have been. When looking for an outlet, we found trash behind the night stand (empty snack bags and water bottle). YUCK!! What other areas were dirty? Elevators were missing baseboards: Not a deal breaker, but just points out that some details to make this a top of the line experience were missing. Very limited wine and beer selection in the bar and Dining room. This is wine country and you can only provide such a small collection?! Food was pretty good. Burger was excellent. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. In conclusion, we had a good time, however, many details need dealt with to have a top of line experiance.

Best hot spring near Portland. (New, clean, social + private) Best solo vacation spot ever. Spa, restaurant and bar are great! Mini fridge in the room. No need to leave. I got a king with a private hot spring spa, it was perfect. The tub on the porch was totally private, the view was a beautiful wooded hillside. The room furnishings were perfect. Simple, clean, very very comfortable. Also well thought out, four pillows, a body pillow, a light down and a thick fuzzy throw blanket. Thick spa robes. Personally, I would like to thank whoever bought and reopened this place. It's truly a gift to the people of the Pacific Northwest.

Our stay at the resort was a mixed experience. while the overall resort and room aesthetics were pleasant, several aspects significantly impacted our satisfaction, primarily the value and service and quality. ACCOMMODATIONS: The room itself was aesthetically nice, but the bathroom itself fell short. We also noted issues with cleanliness, specifically in the bathroom area. We felt the overall room rate was disproportionate to the quality of the experience provided. DINING: The food quality at the restaurant was generally good; however, the menu offered limited choices, and the pricing was high. we observed significant understaffing during our visit, which led to slow service, prompted us to dine in town our last day there. SPA: We booked a couple's massage package and was quoted at $150. When services were split across two days due to scheduling, the final bill totaled nearly $500. there was a significant lack of transparency in regard to the cost of final charges, and the invoice lacked any details as to what each services costed or why it was so much which made it very difficult to understand the drastic price increase from the initial quote. Given these inconsistencies, particularly the significant cost discrepancies and lack of clear communications, we personally will not return to the resort, as the overall value did not align with our expectorations. I believe anyone who is looking to stay here you can find somewhere just as nice for a lot less money.

First time visitor. Dinner staff was missing in action, dropped off water, food, bill, never checked about meal or needing anything. I asked for a change in vegetable with meal, she said no problem. It was a problem and she forgot to change my order. Chicken skin flavorful but terribly dry meat. Rooms are basic and need updating, was clean though. Pools, dry sauna and hot tub is very tired and needs updating as well. Spa was top notch and we received great service. Great masseuse and front desk. Very thin walls and had to complain three times about loud adults and screaming kids. 5p, 11p & 6a. Not the best answer at the front desk when they said there was nothing they could do. Really!? We may try it again in the distant future, once our initial disappointment wears off. This is my second negative review ever. I always look for a silver lining.

Lovely resort with several hot tubs and pools, inside and out. The spa service was wonderful; we had a couples massage. The rooms were nice and well appointed, but the bathroom needed some maintenence on the sink and toilet. Our bed was comfortable although a little tall. I loved the duvet, but the pillows were very uncomfortable. Most staff was friendly and helpful. Id like to come again when the weather is nice, so we could enjoy the grounds more, but it looked pretty from a distance. The restaurant has delicious, if not slightly overpriced breakfast and dinner. (Get the brioche french toast eith cream cheese filling. You're welcome.) Most places in the resort are accessible, although the for someone chairbound there did not seem to be accessiblity to the pools. Overall, Iʻd come back to this place again.

So happy to discover this place. It's a great escape from our busy lives and we just love the spa on site. We booked a king room with hot tub and forest view and loved being able to soak on our private deck with incredible fall foliage views. The rooms are good but could be improved, thus the 4 star rating. The balcony is very large and it would be nice to have some lounge furniture outside as well as the small table and chairs. Given that we had booked a hot tub room, we expected to have additional towels but were only provided 3 bath towels for two people. Additionally, their linens could be improved - towels, robes, etc. are all a bit cheap in regards to quality. Lastly, there is plenty of room in the bathroom for a double sink and a much nicer shower situation. The cheap shower install caused water spray all over the bathroom floor and no bath mat was provided. These small details matter for the overall luxury experience. However, the service from everyone on site was wonderful. We had a 90 minute couple's massage which was heavenly and enjoyed dining in the bar and the on site restaurant. We will definitely be back again someday soon!
