In comparison to the store in Tacoma on 38th st. The workers were great and their focus was on customer service not loss prevention. Made the experience much better and the atmosphere comfortable. Love to come back!

Went in to spend a few hundred dollars and 1 employee was outside helping a customer with his vehicle. LAST TIME I CHECKED THIS IS A STORE NOT A MECHANIC SHOP. THE OTHER LADY THAT WAS INSIDE THE STORE WAS ON THE PHONE AND JUST KEPT ANSWERING CALLS. I BELIEVE IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO CHECK OUT CUSTOMERS SO THAT THE BUSINESS CAN ACTUALLY GENERATE SOME MONEY. I LEFT THE STORE OUT OF FRUSTRATION. YOUR EMPLOYESS NEED TO DO THEIR JOB. ANSWERING PHONE CALLS WILL NOT GENERATE MONEY. ESPECIALLY SINCE U CANT TAKE PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE. Stupid!!!

This is an update to my previous review. I was contacted today by a staff member Jason claiming to be the manager of the store. In this interaction which I have attached screenshots below, He claimed that I was " a drug addict and too poor to be able to shop at his store" "That if I didn't like his service I could become president and change the prices cuz that's the only way anybody's cheaper than him." And most egregiously that "I was touched by an uncle when I was a child" I have attached the screenshots to this conversation with him this morning. The corporate office has been sent an email. And I will be reporting it to the better Business bureau as well if he is not fired. None of that is appropriate. I also attached a picture of what Jason looks like and a screenshot of the reviews that he is leaving for himself talking about what a good employee he is and how helpful he is. Don't shop at the store obviously this guy is deranged. I have included my previous review below this as well: I'll start this review by stating the prices in this store are insane, 70+ dollars for the same exact filter that is 20 dollars online. That is not, however, why I gave it a 1 star. While in the store, for a grand total of 3 minutes our car was broken into. As soon as we noticed we called the police and my wife went back in to see about the security camera that was directly over the vehicle. They were rude, refused to help us, and told us we would need a subpoena from the courts to see it. When the officer showed up, they told him no as well. So their only purpose is to protect them and their bottom dollar. Furthermore the officer said they get calls to this location all the time. "It's a hot spot" you would think, if they gave a care, about their customers, they would have a security guard. So now I get to pay 400 dollars for a new window to be installed, and I will never be back to this location. I advise everyone to buy your products on Amazon rather than an over priced business, with rude employees, who care more about their products than their customers.

Our check engine light came on. Store manager, Jason, quickly came to our aid! He was able to run a test and tell us that it wasn’t super serious. This gave us great peace of mind. The store is clean and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you so much, Jason.

Store 4108 Jason and Michelle greeted me when I came in this morning and helped me find the filters I needed for my car. They were both friendly and quick and professional. This store is near my place but honestly if it weren’t I’d still drive out of my way to do business here. And I never write these reviews- ever- but these two parts pros and their store are that good. Thanks- I appreciate you!

Not all heroes wear capes… But when I say that, I mean, the guy who was helping me today was really hero. I had the worst day ever and he just really helped me look up all the pieces I needed. I would give him five stars if I could. Need this piece and he searched everywhere and even help me bring that heavy battery to the car.

I was at store 4108 on 38th & Mst in Tacoma Wa. I had a few questions and was greeted by Jason R the store manager and Fernando the commercial sale manager. 5 stars is NOT enough! Jason at AutoZone 4108. is an Absolute Legend! I have to sing the praises of Jason, the store manager at the AutoZone on 38th and M Street! I live all the way out in Orting, and friends kept telling me, "You have to go see Jason for your parts needs." Honestly, I was skeptical. We've all encountered retail employees who put on a smile for the sake of a review, right? But from the moment I met Jason, I knew this was different. I'm deep into restoring an old Volkswagen Beetle, and I needed a very specific part – the kind that makes you want to pull your hair out trying to track down. Jason not only helped me figure out the exact right part, but he went so far above and beyond what I ever expected. What made the experience truly exceptional was how real Jason was and how he didn't treat me differently just cause I'm a woman. We weren't just going through the motions of a transaction. We chatted about my restoration project, he showed me his own old truck out in the parking lot as well as before and after pics, and it genuinely felt like just two people "throwing bullshit to the wind." He wasn't acting nice; he was nice, and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave me invaluable pointers, even recommending websites for parts AutoZone doesn't carry, and pointing me towards other places to source hard-to-find components. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jason! You saved me so much time and frustration, and your genuine passion for vehicles and helping customers shines through. I'll be coming back again and again, and you can bet I'll be telling all my family, friends, and co-workers that if they want real help and real customer service, they need to head straight to Jason at the 38th and M Street AutoZone!

Half the employees are focused on seemingly anything but customer service! And half of the other half are great, the last quarter should've stayed home or another career! Whatever they are doing their totally doing only that. Yet nothing matters to them clearly at least. Thanks for not helping me at that point...

Jason was the first person to greet me and assist me with my break lights today! He was very helpful and hands by coming to my car and actually installing the new break lights. He also educated me on how to change them in the future in case I don’t have any help and told me what the possible reasons are for my lights going out so quickly. I always love the customer service i receive at this auto zone and so I thank Jason and his team for always being so helpful at this location!

I went there to return a pair of windshield wipers that I bought at another AutoZone store. Jason Ruddy helped me, he said he was the manager. He was more than happy to take them back because I wasn't satisfied with their performance; they kept leaving streaks on my window. He also showed me how to properly install them. (I had originally installed them incorrectly.) Honestly, I don't really like returning things. However, he knew that I wasn't really happy with them and I had just bought them about a month ago and I really really appreciated that. I'll shop here again. Jason, again, thank you.

I’ve never been to an AutoZone that wasn’t great, and this one is no exception. I had troubles installing headlights in my car and they helped me without question. Astounding care and service. I’d give more than five stars if I could!

This autozone was more than I had hoped for. It took me several hours to fix my problem so I got to see the staff be as kind and patient with a wide variety of customers as they were with me. Jason R went above and beyond to work with me so I could solve 1 problem after another and be safely on my way. As a woman I especially appreciated that his help was given without being patronizing. It is so rare that my ability to fix my own mechanical problems is just accepted without having to qualify and debate it. Thank you.

We had a good experience. The attendant went the extra mile. He physically replaced our wiper blade, in the rain no less. And he double checked to make sure I selected the right battery for my other car, plus he was able to apply a discount in exchange for my old battery. Great customer service.

This store has great employees working there. There are all full of energy, and knowledge. They don't bs what they don't know just to make the sale. The Store Manager, J.R., will go way above and beyond to make sure that as a customer you leave with the part(s) you need, or what store has it cause he calls to verify. Or he gives you the right direction to get what you need. I enjoy hanging out and just talking with the staff at 4108. Great bunch of individuals.

Store Manager Jason helped me find the part I needed for my old truck and also helped me scan my girlfriend’s car for codes. Took about 15 minutes and got what I needed to fix it. Very helpful staff

Make sure the AutoZone personnel understand your situation and to your needs, not all AutoZone personnel are fully equipped. Some experience comes from learning on the job. I was sold a product that didn't work in the way I explained it to him. He was young but I paid for it. I went and bought a different product, took my receipt and unopened the product back the store manager assisted me with the return, I explained what happened and the clerk who was on duty was the one who sold it to me. She corrected him and we're laughing about the situation. He admitted he sold wrong and he said he learned a lesson and was grateful I didn't come down hard on him for his mishap. I've long been working in customer service in every job I've held and honestly even if I am wrong it's still nice to treat young ones a polite way of dealing with a customer who understands the challenges, oops and oh gosh I hope I didn't sell the wrong thing etc... Pleasant customer service from the manager(shift manager-supervisor) a good place to help steer ya in the right direction.

I needed a particular battery that proved very difficult to find. AutoZone ordered one, but the vendor didn't ship it to them. Belle at AutoZone was exceptionally helpful. She spent a great deal of time tracking down the battery that I needed. She found one available at a different auto parts chain & sent me there even though it didn't benefit her. Belle was very capable, very knowledgeable & very willing to go the extra mile for me.

I needed a car battery charged, and even though it had a leak, they gave a charge anyway and worked fine after that. Staff here are so helpful, I recommend.

We were greeted with a "leave your backpack at the counter". Just as I do any other time this is asked of me I explained that my "backpack" was my purse with all of my personal effects ,while showing the contents of my purse but this was insufficient for her. I removed my wallet, keys and phone and was told to place my $600 Michal Kors bag on the floor behind the counter. After locating the item we came for we had a question about it "excuse me sir" i said to the gentleman in an Auto Zone shirt walking behind the counter and the same lady replied "he doesn't work at this store". This is the point where most employees would do their job and offer their assistance, not this employee. My friend was checking out while I headed outside to take a call, I was standing in the door way with the door wide open when I heard the same lady say "it was denied". The lack of tact was unsettling. It was hardly necessary for the entire store to know his transaction was not successful. As I explained the situation to my husband on the phone he described the exact employee to me and told me that he has had several unpleasant encounters with her. I understand the store has loss prevention policies and my intention was never to negate that. However I believe this visit could have gone better had this employee put just a small amount of effort into helping ensure that Auto Zones customers found what they needed and had a better day because of it.

Yesterday I went for a battery change and Guillermo was very nice, extremely Friendly and amazing!! He provided GREAT customer service and helped me change my battery. After my battery was changed he tested the other parts of my car to make sure it was just the battery. We need more people like him working there and in this world in general! Thank you so much for that great experience, for your great customer service!
